So I'm going between, then, the Ti-Woody S + Dynastash OR the Ti-Woody XLS, no Dynastash.

Is there an alternative carrying case for the XLS? If not, I'm thinking Woody S + Dynastashm but man do I need some guidance before pulling the trigger!

I'd email them and ask if/when they'll have a Dynastash XL in stock.

The VC will come in a tube that you can store it in until you find an alternative.

If you aren't getting older or you get a @Pipes induction heater then the shorter one will be fine.

F##K a Damascus Steel Vapcap!!!

After Jason at Dynavap made that one, for @Copacetic, he made a Damascus body for me as well.

Here's mine. A Damascus steel body or stem is the heaviest Vapcap midsection of them all.

The leather Vapcap Pouch from @Ratchett will accommodate both the regular 3.5 inch Vapcaps as well as the 4.25 inch XLS models and a cylinder shaped jet lighter. But if you prefer the wood Dynastash XL, contact Dynavap, they will let you when the XL will be in stock and the wood varieties available.

I'd go for the extra length and spinning mouthpiece of the XLS every day of the week.
If you may at some point want to use it with water, I'd get the Nonavong-XLS.
@sk8man121 I concur with @duff ... Nonavong XLS is a great stepping off point. If you add a standard condenser to that order, you can shorten the Nonavong and you will be prepared for a wider variety of glass pieces (if that is on your radar). Sometimes the mouthpiece can interfere with good fit and function on pieces with short intake paths.

One final question that I haven't seen covered in the thread.

I notice that a lot of woods used in the Dynavaps are actually confirmed to have some degree of allergic / toxicity issues. Check this: http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?118441-best-woods-for-food-contact

I'm not an expert, but wondering if this is a concern at all re: the Ti-Woody?

Looking at that link there's a little concern regarding cocobolo. Respiratory? That's no good. I have a blackwood and it doesnt bother me but still......

I'm wondering myself about the ti woody and others

Also.....I did see this brought up somewhere but I'm not positive where

Going to Europe next week and I'm wondering if there may be some problem in taking my M on flights? I mean not to use it (although would be nice), but maybe airport customs could bother?

@sk8man121 that list would put you off any wood.
For years African Blackwood has been used for wind instruments yet it's listed along side all the others.

Funny how in that forum they mention Walnut oil as a finish with no regard for nut allergies.

As @KidFated. says most concerns are with dust, no dust is good no matter what the wood.
Saps and resins which could cause problems should be less of a problem with properly dried timbers.

A coat of wood finish should help and, like Kidfated, I've used different woods and had no problems.

I did say to a customer who had a problem with Cocobolo to avoid it, I seem to remember it was dust that had triggered their sensitivity.

Most log stems are being used with no condensers/liners and if they were causing health issues we would have heard about it.

What exactly is the advantage of the extra length? Cooler hit?
........................................................................................................
The longer length XL does not provide a noticeably cooler hit.
The longer length XL does make it easier to spin in your hand while heating. The regular length can be too short, tough to spin for some folks , depending on your hand size and any hand mobility issues.

NOTE: the $1 Fat Mouthpiece (for me) is a great help in spinning my XLS. Without the Fatty, my spinning mouthpiece does not spin---it rotates right in synch with the main body. With the Fatty, it provides a much more secure grip on the XLS spinning mouthpiece, so it does stay stationary while the main body turns :)

@sk8man121 & @VisiblyVaped , I haven't given much thought to custom made pieces, but I pretty sure @Winegums lines his custom wood pieces with ss. And I assume @Ed's TnT does, too.

Here

Same thing, just tied to a wall outlet. Personally I thought the little extra dosh for the Portside was worth the portability. But the JarHead is exactly the same induction element but driven by a 12v power supply rather than 3x 18650's and a charging adapter.

Personally, I can't see why anyone would not go with the Skeletor or Portside due to the portability option.

Try using a straw, insert the condenser with the O-ring in the correct position into the body. Then take a straw and slid it over the end of the condenser until it hits the o-ring. Then push both the stwa and the condenser in at the same time until it's in position. Remove the straw and add the end O-ring and/or mouthpiece.

There have been a couple of threads where people are discussing using Boveda packs and it appears some users are putting the packs in before the cannabis has been properly cured. While the Bovedas can bring the humidity down a bit they are really meant to maintain the humidity. Therefore it's important to be careful not to put really fresh herb into the jar with a boveda and assume the RH will level itself out. This can lead to mould which is
Sterling advice again, GH! Just got some 4g 62% on ebay. More great info. to absorb.

Point is - and to stay a bit more on topic for here - well cured, stored and properly moist material when you grind will add to a much better VC experience.

That advice was the last piece of the puzzle for my to achieve complete consistency. Ureka! !! I am, now, as of today, thoroughly in love, & in awe, of this tiny device. And, it would be a must-have if I were on a desert island; right up there w/ sunscreen. It's funny, I literally fell into this thread 6 weeks ago (from a related google & at the top was the FC forum & because of the name I clicked on it out of curiosity and "the night before the sale" timing &, now, a mere 4 weeks after getting the M, I innately know that for me, no other vape will surpass it in performance, versatility & most of all, satisfaction & pleasure. And I am every bit as infatuated with it as I am in love & awe. And if this was the only vape I could ever own, I won't complain.[/QUOTE]

Got my omni earlier today. I'm enjoying it!

Better air flow than the M. I dont really notice it heating up much faster but it does seem to cool off quicker. Looks nicer and i like the mouthpiece more.

That being said If a friend asked me which to buy.... id say buy 2 Ms.... so you have a backup... and put the other 75 towards some bud.... Then share with me!!

I do like the omni more... But they both deliver on demand vapor. I can get clouds with both. I get just as high with either. The omni is better but i dont think it's more than 3x the price better.

I wanted the adjustable air on the MP but after modding the m I could not justify the price. I actually am going to get another M and mod it. I'll wait until Omni's are on some great sale. I would spend 100 or so on a new one with a new gen tip but I can't do too much more justifiably in my mind.

But still. ...... DV has incredible vapes and if the money grew on trees I'd have no issue. I do love the body style

I believe @Winegums uses a 10mm ID SS core so you can use your existing condensers an mouthpieces if you choose.

@Ed'd stems I believe have no SS core and are just wood but follow the same 10mm ID.

@phattpiggie uses a narrower core (not sure exactly but it's about the same ID as the condenser so you just pop your TiTip on the end of them and away you go.

Nicely put, really glad it's helping you to discover the virtues of this vape and deliver an experience you enjoy!

If I was stuck on a deserted island I'd only want an Omni or M from DynaVap as a vape. Nothing more robust and simple in my experience.

Yea i played with the adjustable air flow... But i just prefer it left giving me the most air flow...

The omni is great, I'll use it 99% of the time I'm sure... but price to performance... the M is amazing. I have spent triple the price of the M on just the batteries for other vapes that didn't give near as good results. And some took forever to give any results...

If the M ever goes on sale for $20 again I'll buy a few more.. I'm sad i missed that. Can't believe it was real.

@GreenHopper , what is ID (internal diameter)? And can't a nonavong be lined w/ ss & no condenser for water use?

GH, here's a quote posted by @antispleen that's a testament to the vc's simplicity:

"It's awesome how quick you can load up a cap, toast it completely and put away and not miss a beat."
