Ultimately I prefer my divine tribe atomizers for concentrates but the vapcap is far & away my favorite hash vape.

I actually just ordered a Divine Tribe V3! Out of curiosity, how would you compare the two (with concentrates)?

Something else to think about, Divine Tribe and similar vapes are a "load as you go" solution. The VapCap with Concentrates and some appropriate wicking material, you can load a few hits worth and toke throughout the day.

The DT V3 will make the wax taste heavenly and depending on the settings can crank out some serious clouds fast.

BUT It's a one/two hitter and works best for loading small amounts on demand.

The vapcap won't taste as good with wax, but the fast heating and higher temps it can reach, it works very well for concentrates and clouds.

I find the earthy taste of hemp fiber more pleasant than Steel. But the vapcap when loaded right can hold more wax

@Squiby uses cut liquid pads for concentrates and she often loads a days worth of goods in it

Just got my titanium omnivap, loving it so far! Seriously impressed.

Have one question/concern:
Is it normal for the exterior of the titanium tip to become discolored from heat?

Im not referring to the stainless cap- Im referring to the titanium tip that you pack, that the cap slips over.

After a few days of heavy use, Im already seeing that the outside of the tip has become a more yellow/golden color.

Is this typical? Do I need to do something differently? Is there a way to clean it? Ive only been using a single flame torch lighter, I haven't been aggressively heating it at all.

No, not at all. No issues. Mind you, I only heat one cycle per session and I store the warm Vapcap horizontal with the tip slightly lower than the mouthpiece. So I don't encourage the remaining concentrate to flow towards the condenser while it cools and sets up. When I'm out and about the Vapcap goes back in my pocket, tip down. I never see the concentrate congealed in the cap either. It seems to stay in the concentrate pad. The only way I know that it's all used up is when a heat cycle no longer produces a vapor.

@Squiby Cool! Thanks! Do you find the flavor holds up all the way through? The problem dedicated non-load-as-you-go concentrate solutions have is the flavor degrades significantly after the first hit. By the end of the load it just tastes like reclaim. Do you notice any of that?

Nope. I find it tastes the same throughout. Great!

I have a dedicated Vapcap with a concentrate pad for sativas and another for hybrids and indicas. A couple times I got my Vapcaps mixed up and upon taking a toke, immediately was able to identify the strain.

Right now I have Durban Poison in one VC and Girls Scout Cookies in the other. They taste very different from each other and they both taste great. I believe this is because I am vaping the shatter at relatively low temps.

@florduh ...i think when @Squiby says low temp that's KEY... dense mesh pads always give a metal essence at higher temps, at least how I interpret the tastes. coils in atomizers have a metal taste though which i hate...there is a huge difference between the two.

discoloration is normal...it happens in the heat transfer I believe.

it's fine and won't affect functionality. can't remember...think it was @flotntoke who mentioned baking soda and vinegar, works like a charm (mostly) and returns it to near new, keep the o rings out of the mix if you can (to avoid degradation.)

The product description is accurate, it pairs to any 14mm female as long as there is enough clearance...if your piece is 18mm you need a reducer

The rubber piece is only if your using a straight body vapcap

True. I've noticed that a bit in my Saionara. I'm wondering if a little ceramic pod in the VapCap would work. I realize I'm trying a bit to fit a round peg into a square hole since I have the Divine Tribe coming. But the VapCap is my favorite vaporizer so I'm probably trying to use it as much as possible since I'm consuming more concentrates than flower lately.

That having been said, on my Sai, there was always some fiddling with settings to worry about. And I'd always eventually get a gross tasting hit. I never noticed that in my XLS with concentrates on hemp. Easy and tasty every time.

Thanks for the replies about the Vong! That's what I thought, but I figured it was worth asking since the rubber mouthpieces are so cheap to add onto existing orders. Looking forward to having a Dynavap in rotation with my Firefly and Grasshopper.

Hey guys,

A couple weeks ago I asked FC to recommend a vape for me, I ended up getting the Vapcap but since I live in the UK the only one I could find was the original which I'm more than happy with in terms of aesthetics and quality (the more expensive ones would have been nice but hey ho)

So today I received my very own vapcap in the post and I have to say I'm rather disappointed with the high and the amount of vapour production, I've seen videos of people pulling through milky vapour but I got wispy at best so I assume I'm doing something wrong. I've tried a few heating techniques some worked better than others but I got nothing compared to some videos and reviews.

Bare in mind I used a regular clipper, just over half a bowl, shared said bowl with a friend (he was pretty excited and couldn't wait for his to come through the post ) and this was my first time using it.

Does anyone have any tips on how to work the vape a little bit better?

As you are in the UK (like me) the first thing I would check is the quality of your bud. Most UK bud is average to bad - grown in a hurry by people who don't really know or care how to grow properly - I am speaking from experience. If you have good quality bud make sure it has been cured properly and is not damp.

if so, I was under the impression that you can't take the anodization off easily?

So I took my ti tip of my omni and soaked it in vinegar and baking soda...i should have taken before pictures ...but anyhow, it had the golden brown discoloration that I believe @sirwalter was describing

after a soak and a good brush off, the golden brown gunk melted off the tip and made it look nearly new again

EDIT: the cap after a clean still has a deep, subtle rainbow hue...which does not come off...i believe that is anodization...am I wrong?

Both the Vapcap and your CFX work great with water pieces.

I made the mistake of getting glass for my vong that contains no chamber: there is no way to concentrate it in the glass (or to avoid drinking bongwater...ecch). The D-020 will be a great choice (wish I had one)...

I've had the thought that the M could use a different cap due to its higher density SS tip that takes longer to heat than the Ti tips. The current cap has the effect of clicking before it's truly hot and results in many users being disappointed with their M on the first hit.

The SS tip benefits much more from a pre-heat than does the Ti.

The term "anodizing" implies that there's an electrical current being used to change the colour, which isn't quite right. What you're all seeing is thin film interference caused by oxides forming on the surface of the metal because of Heat. Metals and other compounds gain an affinity for oxygen the hotter you get them increasing the rate of oxidization (rusting). A great example of this is a BBQ grill that has a lot of rust on the burner tubes but never gets wet.

The Titanium on your tip is doing the same thing, (rusting) but don't worry as the layer of oxides that you're seeing is only a few nm thick. Only when the Ti tip turns snow white should you worry about it as this means the tip is severely degrading due to oxidization, (like the rusty BBQ burner). As long as you obey the click all shall be fine.

So while anodizing and heat oxidizing are doing the same thing they are very different processes.

I have a question about my (hopefully soon to ship) new Omni: How tight is the threading which adjusts the airflow? More to the point, when spinning the unit over the torch flame, does the airflow adjustment tend to change?

When heating my M, the mouthpiece end is nestled in my palm, with the body resting on my ring finger, and I spin it with my thumb and index finger.
