So busy! :buzz:

It is so true brother, I have seen so many good friendships torn asunder by all this recent political upheaval. It is such a shame to see.

Thought-provoking and humbling psychology piece.

Where were you when the DEA busts were higher under Obama than his previous 10 years? By you I mean alla youz... Did you even know this? Look it up.

Guilt over complacency is some of what made this liberal so angry.

there have been some reports since his recusal that they won't be going after rec right now. not that I really trust his word but I think his plate is kind of full without doing something so unpopular right now

Thanks for some much needed hopeful news!

You lost me there. What's the relationship between Sessions recusing himself on anything to do with Russian interference in our elections and cannabis?

...By the by, I don't agree with a number of Rand Paul's positions, but I have to give it to him on consistency. He's a libertarian and state's righter at heart and he is consistent with it which is more than can be said for many of our poll-of-the-moment driven politicians.

With you on this one. Sessions isn't going down as easily as Flynn. Trump won't ditch him except to save his own ass. Libertarian-ism can be an admirably clean ideology. Sure as hell wouldn't want to live in a Libertarian country, if such a thing existed.

How many billion in legal sales? How much is spent on cannabis lobbying (consumer & industry)? There are several organizations doing it. I thank them for their hard work.

The NCIA raised around 50k for the 2014 election cycle. $50k??

Open Secrets: Total for Beer, Wine & Liquor: $26,654,652 (2016) (lobbying money)

Great article, thanks!

"The talking points for marijuana legalization under the Obama administration were focused on claims that cannabis prohibition contributed to mass incarcerations, racial disparities in cannabis-related enforcement, the “corrosive effect” on civil liberties and how it brought law enforcement into unnecessary conflict with the community..."

Hard to believe that not long ago, such outcomes were widely thought to be objectionable.:myday:

Disclaimer: the views expressed are those of a fucking moron. :D

Those prohibitionist lobbyists can say what they want. They don't have to enforce it, and the Feds know this.

Sure, the Feds could strike the first blow, and I'm sure it would be a painful blow. But then the people will come out of the woodwork to file lawsuits against them while others begin the civil disobedience. Sessions will quickly feel like he's being pecked at by a thousand chickens.

I don't think anyone really knows yet what the Trump folk are or aren't going to do. And that lack creates anxiety- at least for me.

It's hard to believe, given what's already happened, but it is very early in the Trump presidency. It's only been a few months.

Absolutely; the worst feeling was the night Trump was elected. I visited my local shop and picked up 2oz's feeling like it could be the last 2oz's I was ever going to buy.

Thankfully that's not the case but that's a frightening feeling for someone who uses it medically ... frightening is not a strong enough word

Can you grow? It's not that difficult with LED lights. Fun, educational and rewarding, IMO.

Not even a couple, actually. :bang:
Not legal in Washington without a Medical License; and there's no way for me to legally procure seeds.

They screwed up Medical Marijuana in washington pretty badly for the promise of more tax dollars. No more MMJ shops at all; only rec. Finally getting to the point where I can find some Bubble Hash regularly.

This euphoria side effect of cannabis sure gets in the way of its medicinal effects. For many medicines, the initial low-dose side effects are undesirable, so that's what we expect. You have to work through the drowsiness or erectile dysfunction (or drowsy erectile dysfunction) to get to the desired effect. But getting high must be evil.

Thought-provoking and nuanced, thanks.

"The Trump administration has not yet replaced the U.S. attorneys from the 94 different districts across the nation..."

That's what makes no sense about this administration. If you want to corrupt institutions, and you have a golden opportunity to stuff all of them with your stooges, why wouldn't you jump on that? It's just lazy, IMO.

Love cannabis as much as anyone, but can't argue with the Obama era guidelines. Developmental neurotoxicity is a very sensitive endpoint and our brains develop into our early twenties. It's possible that cannabis isn't a concern, but keeping it away from kids seems like a sensible precaution.

I read this at first like 'weed is going to give me ED????'

That's why I pick Sativa strains during the day and Indica at night time so I don't get drowsy. As far as ED it comes in many flavors; premature and takes too long... can't get there; once you get there you fall down

I'm just thankful when things work right

But unfortunately it's serious; high THC strains are very damned popular. I've overheard someone say in a shop they won't buy anything under 28%

Legailization is unique; love it or hate it I wouldn't want it turned back because of the freedom of access without shame. We should all be able to injeest / use anything in our body that we want; it is our bodies and it should be against the law/constitution to tell another person what they should put in their body (or not put in).

@Accept alcohol is far more dangerous to our young people than cannabis. Maybe the folks in office need to make sure that alcohol doesn't get in the hands of teenagers. It's a major health problem in America far more than cannabis. I get so tired of the fallacy that cannabis is more dangerous.

Also if you get too medicated using cannabis just use a couple of draws or one draw and then see how you feel 10 minutes later. All in moderation. Hopefully we will see more CBD and THC levels in medical states.

Well said.

Absolutely, alcohol is more dangerous, didn't mean to imply otherwise. Like cannabis to moderate drinking for this reason. Just saying it makes sense to take similar precautions.

Find using concentrates every day, don't really get high. IME, daily high dose effects are like a pleasant tranquilizer, helpful with depression.

I've seen reports of elderly people using cannabis oil to rub on their privates and reaching teenage status events... the reproductive organs are loaded with endocannabinoids... the most are located there after in the brain....

Now there is a LOT to criticize about the current administration but the fact that they have not yet replaced all of the U.S. attorneys across our country in the first 50 days in office isn't one of them, IMO.

I think they just don't have the bandwidth or the skilled labor to make their plans happen. This is like when the bad guys can't get out of their own way.

NOBODY replaced the entire set of US Attorneys within their first two months. It should NOT be expected. It should NOT be something viewed as reflective of incompetence.

They are still working to get the Deputy AG confirmed FFS.

This is a straw-man put up just to be knocked down and should not be considered as valid criticism IMO (plenty else, but this...as a complaint...is BS).

Don't forget all the judges that Trump has to put in; the Republicans have been blocking Judges from being approved for the past 8 years.

Who said anything about criticism or complaint? Intended as humor. How else can Trump enrich himself while pushing the evil plans of Bannon, Sessions and Putin? Would have faced less resistance if he'd prioritized staffing.

Now look, mate. I may not be the most humor and fun filled jolly around, but there ain't a hint of humor in this quote of yours below which is what prompted my reply.
