I would make it thin wall as I could. especially the bottom
the machine shop should be able to tell you the minimum specifications that they can work with as far as bore and side wall and bottom thickness.

Stock they are about 1.30mm we might try 1.00mm. We will also be using quartz.

Didn't really think about that, I was just trying to on make them cheaper..that sounds like a good idea though maybe we can try to make a few like that. I'll report back if so, it will be a while though.

It's not a fake that's just an old promotional shot of the Evo when it first came out, I really don't know why some vendors still use that it's very misleading.

So a few pages ago when @Justpassedu posted the evos on Alibaba, and we were all speculating about the non frosted joint, lack of vents at the top, shiney smooth finish, and laser printed logo, no one said it was just a stock image then????
And if this is the case, then we cannot use that image to go on, for any evidence of how well the chinese have copied this vape...
They could be knocking out exact replicas for a tenth of the price....
They are rapidly improving the qualtiy of all the clones across the board...
Just look at their automotive industry....

I believe the 1st picture they posted is there version of the Evo than the following pictures posted are just copied from the net to trick buyers that don't have much knowledge of the vape. They usually do this when they copy a vape in china.

Yea but the first picture on alibaba is the prototype that Vapexhale released before producing the EVO so its likely none of the pictures are of the actual fake.

Rumors were going around about a digital temperature evo model and a portable vapexhale unit a year ago but since nothing has been mentioned by then since I don't think it's coming out anytime soon.

I dislike most of these kind of YT Channels and Sites, since they mostly seem like an elaborate way to get free stuff and moneyz for the creators. Barely any reviews that will actually talk about the problems of stuff, always downplaying it etc... not a lot of reliable help out there for Buyers I feel.

I emailed VapeXhale and asked if they were releasing an updated version of the current EVO.
They replied that when the 'upcoming' updated model is ready for release, that they will make the announcement. My interpretation is that there will be an updated (version 2) released sooner than later. This was also mentioned in December 2016 interview by Poseidon Asset Management who invests money in cannabis based companies and startups. They stated that they had seen the Version 2 and were anxious for its release. They were talking about an updated EVO and not a portable.
Another reason I know that they will be releasing the updated EVO soon is that I just ordered one. It should be delivered tomorrow, and with my luck, they will announce the updated version within hours of me opening the box.
UPDATE : My EVO was just delivered so the new and updated version will be announced tomorrow.

What does a blinking red mean? I just picked up a 2nd hand EVO and the bamboo is loose (seems like the base at the top isn't glued down to hold it firmly), and it will go from green to blinking red at random, although I believe there is some kind of a connection issue as it occurs when I wiggle the bamboo.
Has anyone else's EVO discoloured near the top? Seems like the top 1/3rd of mine has like a brownish tinge to it that can't be cleaned.

That loose bamboo needs to be fixed! Send it in ASAP. I have had to send mine in for fixes 3 times. Once, they even sent me a completely new replacement unit because the "fix" only lasted 3 weeks. My understanding is that the heater is wrapped around the bamboo somehow. When loose, the unit seems to run hotter and taste definitely suffers.
The brownish tinge is fairly common too. Every time I've had my loose bamboo fixed, they installed a brand new bamboo. So, problem solved

Hey thanks for the quick reply! It's not under warranty, and the person who sold it said that all the bamboos "loosen up" after about 6 months and it's completely normal lol The tinge is actually on the evo body, but I think it's due the bands that were around it maybe, just discoloured.
It actually seems to function pretty well now so i'll be gentle otherwise my brotha evo dr. @lazylathe will check under the hood! I actually don't even have any ELBs, i've just been using 2 arizer elbow screens and it works great with micros up to about .1 or so.

Same as alot of other vapes... it's just so hard to know what temp you're at with this vape, especially after being spoiled with the herbalizer.

Given that I combusted a couple of times with hi temps I doubt max temp is 225C. I think more 250/270C.. Is it even possible?

No, no its not normal. The pic below will give you an idea of how the bamboo and heater fit together. This pic is one of four that I have never released before. As you can see the heater is "beefy" as I have previously stated and the fit is supposed to be somewhat "tight".
As far as the next EVO goes, well I have no idea. It appears that VXL has forgotten the Fanatics, Beta Test Crew, the lifetime warranty, and the special Vectra shells. Here is an old pic of a potential Cloud2 that was generated by that company that ripped VXL off making the Cloud+ models. I think they called themselves VaporJoy or something like that. Obviously this was never produced.

Would you know why it would blink red even if I just pick up the EVO? As long as it's stationary it seems to stay green. Thanks for the pic, the design doesn't appear to be as complex as I assumed.
Seriously? Didn't you spend more on the indigogo campaign for all of those perks? I wonder if that huge donation ($5k?) to have the meet and greet and party with with the vxl team went down lol

Yes we did. Getting to help fund and develop EVO and the nails was great. Also the Vectra shells and the Fanatic glass were, and are, well worth the extra $$$. I'm just really disappointed that it seems we have been forgotten and are not being utilized for further testing. The Fanatic circ to gridded barrel turbine is still one of the prize pieces of my collection. Its amazing . . .
