I think this can be attributed to the unique way that the Vapcap cools the vapour:

If you imagine the way nice cool air enters the air port (carb hole) on the stem, it enters, then travels down the stem towards the tip, passing along the condenser as it goes, which cools the condenser as warm vapour travels up thru the condenser. This causes the vapour in turn to be cooled too... it really is a design marvel, and as far as I'm aware it's the only vape that actively cools the vapour after leaving the extraction chamber.
When you draw with the carb closed does some vapor get into the area between the condenser and the body? If so does that mean the woody bodies impart a slight wood taste and the omni & glass bodies dont? Has anyone noticed a taste difference between the woody & non woody bodies?

Nope, not if you're doing it right.
No.
Not a bit.

I agree with @flotntoke, I've never noticed any difference in taste between any of my Vapcaps bodies (glass/wood/titanium/carbon fibre. The only time I would think vapour may come in contact with the inside surface of the body/stem is when the tip is at vaping temps but you're not actually drawing... but I think this contact would be minimal... none of my wood Vapcap bodies hold much of a herb smell, whereas the wood of my mflb literally reeks.

There is no real impact on taste, but its perception is affected by the materials you put into your mouth. Titanium MP is the reason I avoid to use Omni though it is best of VCs.

VapCap reclaim question:

qYp3k4Z.jpg

Pictured above is about 0.75g of reclaim scraped from my lotus over time. It doesn't look like much but it smells amazing and will get me high like nothing else I have access to :science:

So off to my question: will I be able to scrape the vapcap like I did with the lotus and add to that little ball? Or do you guys just soak it in iso? I'd rather not use a solvent if I can!

Thanks for the replies, now I do know why some of you don't want to put your supplies directly inside. That tube is a perfect fit, wow!

What I've got in mine at the moment is pretty smelly, but with the lid shut I can't smell it at all. I've had it for less than a week though, and I imagine that the lid will loosen a bit (hopefully not much) over time. I don't expect to keep the same stuff in mine for very long at a time, and if it seems to be getting too dry before I get to the bottom I'll probably just dump it into my Sticky Brick or something else as an excuse to load the dynastash up with something fresh.

The lid can be easily tightened with a hex screwdriver. There will still be smell, we may not notice it as we are desensitized to the wonderful aromas but lots of other people can.

I have received my dynavap shipment! Unfortunately, the dynastashes have a few problems with the holes. The triple torch worked fantastic, for only 5 clicks. Purged and still nothing. Besides those few bummers, which hopefully can be worked out, the rest of the package is stunning!

Regarding your triple torch, same thing happened to me.....somewhere on this or the light thread I found a tip that worked for me. Take fine pliers or forceps and move the igniter down a bit, and closer to one of the flame jets. It's been two months with refills on the go, and no purging.......working fine! As are my new VC's!

Also the triple that George sells (the one with the inline jets, works great with the angled heating technique that George demonstrates on one of his videos. Getting all three flames spread across the cap is super fast and efficient.

I keep a hemp filter screen sandwich in my Vapcaps. This arrangement has resulted in a very very clean Vapcap. The condenser builds almost no reclaim. However, a ball of reclaim accumulates just at the end of the tip which can be easily popped off into a container prior to a soak.

Hi all, I have a question about the little screen on my new Blackwood onnivap

I removed so I can see if I can adjust the bowl size to a smaller chamber. I just can't seem to put it on correctly though. It keeps going in at an angle and installs looking like "/"

I viewed a video on their website, but the screen seems to be a thicker and white one, not a skinny stainless steel one that I have in mine.

What's everyone's best method to get it in correctly ?

I struggle with that myself, just yesterday I did a cleaning and I thought what a hassle. I do the @Squiby sandwich, the first screen goes in quick and easy, just push it all the way back. When time to do the second screen is where the challenge comes. If i try to do it straight and even it never works, usually i use the pick from the cap to gently adjust whichever side that's lopsided. The curve of the pick works well along the wall to help ease everything into the groove. Hope this helps

Try using the condenser to push on one end, and a bic pen on the other. That will keep the screen level.

Somebody else here who is more expert might be able to describe it better...

Hope this helps!

Think you found the older video (for ceramic screens). Check this one out. It should make more sense and be much easier to follow for your OMNI.

There's not much surface area for stuff to stick to, and what little exists is hard to reach. I get about 5mm of runny red oil around the outside of the condenser tube's tip, and a decent coating all the way down the inside. If you want to avoid a solvent, I'd try to find a 'plunger' to push down the inside of the condenser. You'll harvest something, but the tiny surface area will only yield a few hits a year I think.

(I just sling the condenser in some hot milk with a few Arizer Solo stems once every 6 weeks or so, make a hot chocolate prior to cleaning it all up - it usually has me crackling and buzzing like a strip-light for about 10 hours)

Ha @Burt, billiant! I do that with my flavor chamber in the IQ but for some reason I never thought to apply the same concept to the condenser:bang:. On second thought I guess I don't bc every few weeks I'll be in a fog and I'd forget all about clicks and combust, wouldn't be a desirable taste I imagine. It's quite funny when that happens really. I only gave up smoking a few short months ago and I haven't looked to smoke at all since. Whenever I combust my natural instinct now is to draw out the smoke asap and blow it out without inhaling. A few days ago I caught myself with a mouthful of combusted smoke and for a second I didn't know what to do, I started blowing it out and I thought "why am I wasting all the smoke and when did I become all fuckcombustion like this?" Didn't even realized how biased I've become:hmm:

Is there a reason why I see only photos of omni's sporting wood bodies but not one single picture of a titanium body paired with a wood mp?:hmm: Another thought(2 is my max per day, I promise), anyone thought to ask if they can also lazer engrave the magnet in the stash. Matching logos:tup:, u heard it first here:evil:

Why not a laser engraved titanium omni body?!

I received a stash like that. The Vapcap hole was long enough but part way down it stepped down to a narrower bore diameter that prevented my Ti VonG S from going in all the way, from either end. Rather than send it back to be drilled out, I just drilled it out myself. It took a minute or so. Just be careful and go slow.

Why not a laser engraved titanium omni body?!

THAT is a GREAT IDEA!!!!! Oh, the possibilities. What is the probability of such a possibility? George @VapCap is this doable?

I don't know if everyone is the same, but after I have been consuming a strain for a few days I become a little desensitized to its aroma, so I may not smell it when others might. I like to carry my Dynastash with me in some places I really would not want to be tagged, so any smell proofing I can get is a good thing. I tend to carry Jyarz.

Both of the dugouts I carried for many years had sliding openings rather than twisting, and were more tightly sealed. Even those after many years had smell noticeable by others eventually just because they were wood. The goods usually weren't as skunky as they are today either, at least in my world.

Same thing here with the sliding opening on dugouts.

So after asking you guys and stating my position, I went and handed my wife the closed dynastash and asked her (with no explanation) to smell it. She said it smelled "very faintly of weed"... So to you and @lookhigh and @flotntoke I concede the point.

So now I may also be looking for some kind of insert, haha. I'll let you guys know if i find something.
