Herc arrived.

The insides look so professional. Like truly can tell a lot of thought and effort went into making it.

When I load my "buffer" should I lightly draw to cool it off when I do that? Or just dollop on and a few quick pulses?

Looking forward to try.

Also, I saw people talking size the other day....it's almost exact same height as my Kbox.

First take 2 quarters and place the Ti donut wick between them like a sandwich. Applying pressure with your fingers, toggle/squeeze quarters back and forth. This will expand the Ti donut slightly so that it makes good contact with the sides of the chamber, otherwise it will lift and rise up the ceramic rod during draw. Add your product and heat slightly, enough to melt into the Ti wick, do a cool down draw to keep the oil suspended in the sponge - Ti wick. Then add a little more for a session. From there you can keep it loaded as per your usage. Careful not to overload. I suggest using more stable oils and not overloading. I prefer hard candy like shatter or as it never leaks, very low reclaim with proper cooling draws and stays very clean. (low maintenance).

That is exactly what I did, prior to reading, so I feel good! Most of my concentrates are all wax; shatter or snap/pull, I don't get to pick much variety but that is what tends to come by. No runny oil for me! I weighed out .5, split in half. Soaked one in, and then threw the other on top!

Wow this thing is sweet lol. I'm taking dainty hits but I finally got a HERCULEAN one and am feeling froggy

I cool draw religiously even on my AC so while I'm worried about stuff leaking down, I think I'm doing good! Looked good so far at least

IMO keeping the airflow washer covering the holes also helps prevent excessive reclaim and Keeping your reclaim to a minimum. It’s such a efficient device and so consistently flavorful your consumption will be because you can’t seem to put it down. Hope you have and enjoy some yummy goodness!

This thing is the beez kneez. The curve is not that bad, the draw is super tight but I like that. It loses up when I hit; then I cool it back to tight. Every hit tastes amazing

Glad to see you've found the Nibbler XL, the Herc and Nibbler is my favorite combo for the past few years. @jim-bob posted about magical durable Nibblers.. well I should have broken my Nibbler XL about 100 times since I do not own a case for it and I have dropped it on many hard surfaces and one time from 3.5-4 feet up when installed on my Hercules + Persei, it was in the side pocket of a backpack and I picked it up upside down sending the Nibbler straight down onto a pea gravel cement embedded driveway, and all I have to show for it is a chip out of the mouthpiece:

I do NOT advocate dropping glass, but I lucked out, I had it flame polished by a glassworker and aside from a few scratches on the body it's still working as good as day 1 just feels a little unique on your lips.

This past weekend was a long one for me, out in the shadow of the Olympic mountains at a cousin's wedding, so I brought my Hercules & Nibbler XL along for the trip. I filmed a forest vape session showing how I use the Herc at lower power settings, and my cool down technique, plus how to check to see if the Herc's cooled down enough to put away and not leak.

Still not able to tried my new hercule 510 since I'm very low with concentrates....but it will change very soon....my garden is full of beautifull flowers, Afgani, Wreckage, Senegalese Sativa and 2 unknow strains (1 indica dominant and 1 sativa dominant)!

The Black Oak Mod had extensions like that. They worked really well and looked super classy with the wood trim. I'm not married to my current mod and I'm just waiting for the makers of the Herc to show me their vision.

I use a Oakley Sunglass case to carry my Nibbler XL. It even has room for a little container of water.

I use a ryot large hardcase, it's a great fit for the XL. I use a small hardcase for my Nibbler AC. It was in a bag that fell off a 20 foot drop while hiking, still perfect. The summers here are generally really hot, it has the added benefit of protecting the herc from leaking if I leave it in the nibbler when I pack it away. (Although it probably makes the whole thing a lot more fragile)

I put the mouthpiece and top cap together and leave the heat shield off any time I load. Keeps oils off the heat shield threads.

Once I see the oils start to melt into the wick as the rod heats them I try to maintain very low temperature and keep melting in the entire first quarter gram at a time. I judge its melt and pop the top cap/mouthpiece on and very gently draw while pulsing power. Pop the cap/mp off and take a look, if the rod is exposed I load the second quarter gram chunk, and keep drawing to keep the load up top in the wick.

Something other vapes offer now is the ability to buy a glass dome that has a 14mm or 18mm male or female joint on the other end so we aren't forced to use homebrew silicon adapters to mate our vapes to our glass. I for one would really love to have this option for your products. Really sucks to have this gorgeous top of the line Hercules and also this gorgeous Eric Ross 4.0 En4cer and then I'm using some ghetto silicon to rig the two up together ugh.

What is best way to remove the top metal part holding screen in for cleaning? On mouthpiece. That's a bit gunked up, trying to clean.

In other news I ran 2 grams through it think I've got about .1 maybe .2 in reclaim chamber, really dig it

A coin such as a penny works very well for removing the set screw for the mouthpiece screen without galling. Then dab tool or q-tip to poke the screen out if needed. Clean with Iso alcohol and reassemble. I personally soak and clean everything with grain alcohol, 190 proof Everclear, and winterize all my reclaim for other use. Only using Iso for general wiping down of sticky residue.

So this is embarrassing, but I was mistaking retaining collar for top cap. Got top cap out with my fingernail, but didn't realize there was an additional piece holding screen in.....was using a dabber and now have a nice hole right through center......maybe improved airflow a bit? That part got more clogged than anything else. Can I use any ol screen tho if it's too much getting through? Don't see screens on reorder list LOL probably aren't expecting people to mangle them

Edit: cut a Sticky Brick screen and fits perfect, working great!

PlanetVape in Canada had them in stock but I just checked and they are no longer in stock. You can tick a check box on their site and they will send you an email when they are in stock again. This is how I got hold of one. As soon as I got a reply I ordered one. Wish I had ordered 2 now while I could still get hold of them, best thing since sliced bread!

Before I had the NibblerXL I used a cheap "Bubbler Mouthpiece - Vital". I used the silicon tip from a 1701 cartridge to connect the Herc to the bubbler. It works but it is not the same as the Nibbler.

Just got it today - thought I'd upload a photo in case others are wondering what this combination would actually look like. The mod actually has just empty space beneath the herc, so if I cared enough I might be able to...mod it so it sits lower.

I would take the o rings off the herc and then try to screw the top back on. Once it catches you should be able to pull the herc out.

Here is what you do,

1. take orings off herc bottom insulator.

2. Screw herc back into mouth piece.

3. put a few drops of olive oil inside the middle tube to drip down into the oring of mouth piece.

4 gently spin and pull herc out as the oring gets lubed up it will be easier to take off.
