Another cleaning method I just saw (forget what thread) used a hydrogen peroxide contact cleaning solution and it's disk. I haven't had the chance to try it yet, but I will!

Would peroxide clean an elb on the same level as iso? I just found it tough to get all that crud out of those micro screens. Even with long soaks, I never seemed to get it all. And one piece of advice I will give the new guys: NEVER torch the elbs to get rid of buildup. Yes, it will burn a bunch off but your elb will be black forever where you flamed it. So now I got an elb that is half black with a big fold in the middle where I got too aggressive putting a cap on. So don't do what I did

I know black is unappealing, especially considering the name of this forum, but I accidentally combusted (left it on too long) and the lid to one of mine is black, bit it doesn't affect flavor or air flow.

Wow, I was a few posts behind on this thread. To the individual not getting milky vapor, as other people have mentioned previously, it could definitely be the quality of the material. That is how I judge whether people are giving me good stuff or not. Depending on how thick the vapor production is, and how many hits I get depends on the quality of the strain. Obviously, the better quality, the more vapor and more hits. I'm currently rocking three strains, Banana OG, White Fire OG, and Gorilla Glue #4. All ridiculously excellent.

I actually came in to mention how the power of the Cloud can scare some people. My brother came over and was like can we smoke a joint? I was like hell no! Not in here. He's like, oh cause I don't want to use the Cloud, I have to drive home. Hahahaha. So I had to pack the Mighty. I've never had someone turn down the Cloud on me, but I guess it's too rough for him (he has used it before). LMFAO.

Hola FC @Stu :
I had the pleasure to be, in a kind of strong earthquake, at Stu's place at Cali. We had an awesome time with @Buildozer , we shared stories and great times. I'll like to see those "dragon clouds" videos again please!!!!
Is it possible to save the link?????
Even after your "Devastatorgate" you kept your coolness ;)
You helped me in many ways, and you introduced me to, in my opinion, at my moment, the most versatile loading/dabbing tool, as cheap as, shipping probably more expensive than one unit itself.
If any of you guys are going to order, go for a bunch and give them to your friends.

First photo is a comparison of size/load.... No need for extra explanation right?? ;)

Here's a photo of loading the tool...

Here's a shot of the load size wise....

This is why I like it so much, it fits perfectly inside the ELB... Just dump it there, no spills...

Load it and ready to go... One hitter...

Long ago when IIRC @Stu first posted his scoop, I posted a spoon that I got off Amazon. It's bowl is slightly oval so it fits right into the ELB. Each spoonful is approx 1/8 the ELB, so a few hits (depending on strain). I got a scoop too, but it doesn't work quite as well for me. Probably my arthritis. :cuss:

And again re cleaning the ELB's, @Stu and I both use a brush. The trick is to find just the right one. IIRC his is like a mascara brush, I'm using a test tube brush. With the right technique you can get a number of sessions without the need for ISO or the like - I estimate I'm doing ISO 4x less than before the brush.

I definitely was reminded the bad way it was time to clean ELBs. Had two bowls give next to nothing on terms of vapor, then boom, combustion. Everything is in an iso bath now....

Found a way to access concentrates (I'm in an illegal state). I only have the one glass nail that comes stock and have never used concentrates. Should I just ignore this glass one and get the quartz, or should I hold off and see if I like it? Never used concentrates before.

@Zangano Cruel can you link to that tool? It looks like something I've used in chem lab in college, and definitely tired of using my fingers as a makeshift funnel from the Medtainer to ELB.

AFAIK the quartz is superior only because it is more durable which also makes it easier to clean (you can torch 'em). If you've already got the glass nail use that and if you want you can always compare later. I always just used the glass ones.

I use iso, q-tips, and occasionally some fine steel wool to scrub away the ring that forms one the VXNs. It can be very annoying trying to get by with only one unless you're only doing one dab at a time. It's nice to have four or five available.

If you are talking about the lab scoop I got mine here:

Use code welcome15 for 10% off your first purchase. $2.10 is not bad. Amazon has them but they are way more expensive.

I'd like to ask a really fundamental question, if I may, of Cloud EVO users: I'm thinking about purchasing one because I'm kind of fanatical about clean convection. I'm not a huge fan of water devices, however. My question is whether it's crazy to purchase a Cloud EVO to use without water. I'm aware of the other pure convection devices out there, in particular the eNano, that offer similar performance at a lower price, but the all-glass path is indeed unique, and that interests me.

All advice welcome. Thanks in advance! DGI

I prefer the cheapie standard mouthpiece because, for me, water interferes with the taste. I only have one bubbler for the EVO and it sees very little action. I think I've used my bubbler 3 times with the EVO and unless I have company my bubbler will be remaining lonely. You don't need water to Evolve ;)

Couple suggestions...if you're going to get an EVO and forego the bubbler .... buy the 'starter kit' with nothing additional and get the standard mouthpiece separately off the 'Hydratubes' page for $19.99 instead of $29.99. AND Don't forget to use @stickstones deal so he gets credit and you get a bunch of nails for free!
