That's a great video, but using gloves at the router table is bad news! I worry for your hands. Never wear gloves with any spinning power tool, the gloves can get caught and pull your hand into the blade.

. Go straight to max and don't temp step so if did order the zion think she start collecting dust once tod makes his apperance. It just wouldn't be right to have such beautiful work waste away rather then bringing another lucky boy or gal the pure joy she can deliver. So yea unless find another reason she be good for me think will be able to resist, despite vas telling me, BUY!!!!

@Melting Pot unfortunately customs, if possible at all, would have to be further down the line for sure. Focus is all on getting these Maple beasts going for full production
Guys, I've got a bit of bad news though. I accidentally shorted Ziggy putting my batteries backwards totally absentmindedly and caught it just too late, damage done. Fortunately from this testing (another tester's wife made a similar mistake a while back) RBT learned the importance of including a chip to prevent this from ever being an issue on the production units, so I mine and Ziggy's pain is part of your gain! This is why we beta test
If only it could've happened two weeks from now... Going to have to "suffer" through some of my previous daily drivers for a bit instead unfortunately, I've been so spoiled by Zion!

I have a question about the airpath in the Zion. Where's does air come in from? Does it enter through the hole for the stem caddy, or is there an opening somewhere else? If the former, isn't the airpath not just SS/Glass/Mica, but also a bit of wood? Not that it would be any kind of concern, just asking for clarification.

Thanks, that makes sense! My confusion came from the Zion's store page, which says "the vapor path is constructed of glass, stainless steel and mica (a mineral) to guard against the device imparting any smell or taste" But I suppose the intake air isn't necessarily part of the "vapor path" since it hasn't even hit the heater yet.

I was really wanting a walnut zion and was going to wait but @thekarmawhore said it might be awhile if they even head that route. Then suggested stain... I now have a winter project, I'm going to find a nice stain and possibly even engrave my zion. Something like the custom vapmans that @Mojo does. But the engraving is something I want to make sure is done right if I even do it. Anyways all these videos from making the zion to using it really has me excited to own such a unique vaporizer!!
