I'd imagine that the legal status of cannabis wasn't everyone's top motivating factor when choosing a POTUS.

I also don't think anyone should expect the current administration to fully legalize. That was never promised on the campaign trail and both Biden and Harris have poor track records when it comes to issues surrounding cannabis. Also, although polling has shown that the majority of Americans would support cannabis law reform, the States are apparently not there yet. The recreational use of cannabis is legal in 14 states, the District of Columbia, the Northern Mariana Islands, and Guam. Another 16 states and the U.S. Virgin Islands have decriminalized its use. IMO, we will need to see more states flip before there is political will power to make a big push on the federal level. On the bright side, there are other factors that could help speed things along such as Mexico's legalization of cannabis and Israel's current push to legalize and expand the country's commercial presence globally.

This said, I think we could expect some sort of decriminalization during this term and potentially reclassification from Schedule 1 to Schedule 2. Removing the Schedule 1 classification would be a massive massive step in the right direction as it would give it legitimacy from a medical standpoint and make it tremendously easier to perform biomedical research on cannabis. This would be a de facto furtherance of decriminalization as well since prosecution for Schedule 1 will have stiffer penalties typically. IMO solid research is badly needed and will only help in the push for cannabis reform.
moving to schedle two puts all ower in the FDA hands ... they will stall progress thereafter for ten years as they set up control . is that what we want ?

Is it want I want? Somewhat. Is it all I want? Absolutely not but I believe its a far more realistic stepping stone that will provide benefits. FWIW, its extremely difficult to receive approval from the FDA to conduct biomedical research for a schedule 1 drug and it often requires substantial upgrades in the lab as well.

Don’t forget that a substantial majority of Americans support legalization including deep support by Biden’s base. It will happen IMHO.
IMO at this point I think it is a calculated political decision, users don't have a significant party alternative willing to push the issue forward, so there is no need to change anything.

Wait until the dems plan comes to fruition and then democrats will have the real president they want in the white house. After that then we will likely see legalization.

I have been surprised about where the support comes from for legalization/rescheduling. Now that the cannabis industry is largely controlled by Wall Street private equity investors, there is substantial support within the ‘mainstream’ corporate community.

Yes that progression seems likely. Don’t forget that big pharma and big banks have been waiting to storm the cannabis industry upon federal legislative reform. When either/both jump in with both feet, everything will change. Currently, the legal barriers to entry have inhibited both research and basic business tools such as access to banking and credit card POS for retailers.

Interestng discussion, but it really doesn't belong in the PIU thread. Feel free to take the conversation to an appropriate thread so this thread remains PIU-centric.

Thanks.

We have had the same goal since the day we opened:

"We are not here to be the biggest vaporizer dealer, but we will be the best"

Throughout the years, we have talked to many of the FC members and listened to what they want from us, and we have always done the best we can to keep them happy. This year we have spent a LOT of time focusing on providing the absolute best customer service. We have a great team that works almost around the clock to answer Phone Calls, Emails and Chats.

We also focus on what is important to us and we have realized throughout the years that many of our customers want the same things we do:

- Completely Discreet Transactions PuffItUp never appears on any credit card transaction and is never mentioned on any box.

- 100% Green - Zero Waste. There are no garbage cans where we do business, only recycle bins.

- Obsessive Customer Service. Simply put, our job is not done until you are happy

- Great Products and Honest Answers. We only sell vaporizers we would use ourselves. That being said, we will always tell you our honest opinion about any product, good or bad.

Expect a lot more great contests from us in the future where we will give out some of our favorite vaporizers made by Magic Flight, Arizer, and other great brands for FREE!

We love hearing from our customers so we welcome any and all comments on this thread. So if you love us, let us know! If you know of a way we can be a better company, let us know! And if you want to talk to us right away call us any time 1-800-420-4237 or email Info@puffitup.com

Forget what we lost, Randy has potentially lost his livelihood. Hope he can get through this.
I agree.

Been dealing with Randy for years. I worry about him and the folks who live in vaporizer only med states like Ohio.

This country makes me nuts. E- cigs juice is the same as dry vape devices because everyone is obtuse as fuck.

Reminds me of when everyone thought a drone was a god damned CIA cruise missile.

This shit needs a quick fair resolution
