What's your favorite torch or lighter to use with the Vapcap?

What butane fuel do you guys use to refill? I've been looking into colibri.

I've used colibri, and it's fine. These days, there's a heradshop a couple blocks from work who always has Vector, so that's what I've been using for a while now. No problems.

Yeah, the afore mentioned Vector cans I get from my local headshop are normally the ones labeled 14x refined.

And they are the big Pringles-can size cans, so they last a very long time for the $6 they cost. I just haven't felt the need to shop around. I usually have three to five of them in my medicine cabinet.

I've been thinking a dual flame torch would be a good form for the VC. I like the looks of the Xikar Tech, it's the only double torch I could find with a large tank. Anyone have any experience with these? Not sure I want to drop $30+ on something if it doesn't work much better than the cheapies.

I've got a couple triple flame Vertigo Hawks I got with my DV Deluxe kits. One works great, the other not so much and they both go through butane pretty fast. I'm guessing that a dual flame would use a bit less fuel.

I prefer the ease of use with triple flames as I can use them even in the total darkness. Single/dual are too much of a hassle for me if there is no source of light.

Double will save a tad of gas. In theory 1/3 less than a triple

I like my Honest twin flame the best out of my lighters, around 80 heat cycles to a tank. I just cam't find a link anymore. Triples are not great for precision heat control (good for beginners though) and singles are a bit slow

Triple vertigo are what I prefer. I point two flames at the bottom of the cap and one to the end. Gives good extraction in 2-3 hits

Hmmm...looks interesting.

Though, since induction heaters have shown themselves on the playing field, I've lost interest in table-top torches.
I use IH at home, and torches when out and about, and tabletop torches don't work for out and about.

It's been a few months since I'm using this lighter :

For now, it's seems reliable. The build quality is excellent,the tank is big and there is a little wheel on the bottom as you can see, in order to ajust the flame.

I've the double jet version, and this is my favorite lighter for now

Don't do it , it's a terrible mistake ! Two holidays fucked thanks to electronic devices . Both I was abroad , hundreds of Km from home and no working vape at all. One was my fault , I let it on a rock in Croatia , more high than me , but a boat made so a big wave that the salt water covered for a while my vape. I got a zippo with a double flame z-plus and nobody cares about it . Anyway I travelled all Europe around and never find no torches at all ... Possible no smoker's shops ? Anyway , hear me , better a clipper than nothing.

the body is a little different and the 2 has an easy to adjust flame nob on the bottom the 1 you have to turn upsidedown then use a small screwdriver or other flat object.

Thanks, I had a look at it, it does look like the 2 version is preferable.
All I can get in my region is the older model, nearly 30 euro, I think I'll go and see if I can find something else around here.

I am pretty much done with torches now that I have an IH, but the Jobon lighter has definitely become my favorite. Bigger tank than the others, easy to control flame, easy to see tank. Basically everything I have been looking for in a lighter. I highly recommend.

I am still using my V1 Vertigo cyclone after many many months daily use. By far the most robust, consistent performing torch I ever had. It always sparks, has a great flame. Is very windproof. Just very well built anyhow. I should branch out more and expand.

I do have a Pipes jarhead IH but I never use it because I just dont get the same performance as torching. Torching, I can always get even, consistent hits and uniform extraction in 3--5 cycles. Usually 3 very good, equal and rarely disappointing hits, which are always smooth and never unpleasant. Every time, I dont really have to think about it or use my brain to get exactly consistent results and extraction everytime.

In contrast with the induction heater I have to go quite some way past the click to get the same sort of decent and full-sized hits I like, it is a hard line to draw to not go too far and can bus or get a much harsher less tasty hit. Often the hits are underwhelming, but still taste a little off to me like an overtorched one.

I know how much everyone loves their induction heaters so it does puzzle me how I have never been satisfied with my but I have come across some other people who have reported exactly the same experience and their preference for torching.

I may play with it some more or its up for sale soon.
One way or another, Vertigo Cyclobe V1 FTW still! (Got one for my mum as well, she rates it too)

Both the jobon and vertigo are way too expensive in my location, buying from the US takes a long time to arrive. (Dynavap up to one month)
My Omnivong is ready to be picked up this week, so I just bought a cheap one flame torch which will have to make do for now.
