anyone familiar with this brand (Germanus) and this lighter in particular
Looks like you will have to do a review for us, it looks like it would work well outside.:tup:

I would like to say my Honest 2 flame is still going strong;

I cannot find a link anymore.:uhh:
I also like the look of the following, not the price though;

Hello everybody,

I just ordered yet another lighter for my Omnivap XL: the 4-jet-flame Germanus lighter. It can be found in Amazon Spain at 19.90 euros in this link: https://www.amazon.es/GERMANUS-Jet-Flame-Cigarro-Encendedor/dp/B01CLGBK9K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1534188864&sr=8-1&keywords=germanus+jet. Is anyone familiar with this brand (Germanus) and this lighter in particular? I should have asked before purchasing, but sometimes I don't think fast enough...

Thank you all!
It looks a lot like a Scorch Torch, like this one:
https://www.amazon.com/Scorch-Torch-Aficionado-Cigarette-Gunmetal/dp/B00G9GOOBU
Other than the dots on the front, which some of the other models have, and 3 flames, it looks the same. I’ve heard good things about them, but never used myself.
Let us know what you think.

Before my skeletor induction heater 2 weeks ago arrived i use a Xicar Tech single flame lighter for 8 months and i can highly recommend it, ignites 99% of the time on the first button push has a easy flame hight adjustment and a big clear gas tank i have refilled it every 3-4 days by use of 3-5 vapcaps bowls per day. They are not the cheapest (35€) but the money worth from my expirience. You can get also a double, triple or quad version of it.

Getting a OmniVap XL soon. Some great info hear on torch lighters. Think I am going to go with a 3 or 4 torch to start with. Just need to spend some time reading and seeing what is in stock. I do know I want something that is pocket friendly and will hold some fuel.

I've been using the Colibri Fire Bird triple flame lighter mentioned above, and it's been behaving strangely after using it a month. When the fuel is at about slightly over the 50% level, it begins to sputter when lit, and finally stops lighting at all. I have purged out all the butane and air, refilled it and it lights and works fine, and then again fails when half full. I'm using Newport Butane as it's the best I can find locally. Anybody have an idea what's going on?

my second one I used was set so you couldn't make it adjust high enough to stop the sputtering, so I unscrewed the black screw on the adjusters side pulled off the bottom and turned it to give it more adjustment. I cant turn the gas all the way off now but i can adjust it way to big and till it dont light but still lets gas out.

you could also sand down or cut off the plastic stops but it was more easy to just pop it off and give it a little turn then put it back on

Hi, first post here.
What do you think of Jet-Line super torch?
I just got my vapcap and i've tried it with my single torch, so I want to buy something with multiple flames because I want it to heat quicker. Will 3 flame torch do much difference compared with 1 flame?

(I live in EU so can not buy from US)

Thanks in advance! =)

Welcome to he forum @jjooll , I find that most jet lighters will play-up eventually so I just buy multiples of the cheapest I can find;

I have a few of these, none have crapped out...yet. Just use decent Butane (not Ronson Red) and you will have fewer problems and a much faster heat up.:tup:
Ah nice! I will order today :D Is it a lot quicker with 3 flames?

I always had used single-flame torch lighters with my vapcap, but recently got a triangular triple and actually really like it. The speed to heat up is nice, but also it seems to speed up extraction, to my surprise. Anyway, it's great.

A gold colored Aomai of mine has started peeling, after I have taken to carrying it about with me. It certainly looks like it's just the colored layer, as it's solid silver color underneath (which is the color I would have prefered anyway!). Can someone reassure me that it's not going to start leaking or anything? I can't imagine how, really, but butane scares me a little :p

I bought a pair of these off amazon because I wanted a single flame but I couldn’t find that little flint one that everyone likes in stock anywhere.

Only had it for a day or so but I like this for an at home lighter when I’m feeling like a torch is the way to go. You push up to engage the lighter and you can lock it on but it is not difficult to hold in place. This thing has got a nifty little kickstand if you want hands-free operation. The fuel tank and window on this thing are huge! I get the feeling this thing will last a decent amount of time before I need a refill.

Great for an at-home lighter or as a bqclup for the mini portside on camping or road trips.

We’ll see how it does in the wind and whether it’ll have any longevity.

Hey man. I bought one of these exact windproof triples and I hated it. First of all, the 3 flames were trajected outwards, away from the centre and each other. So it was like a trident, or a fountain with a big gap in the middle.

The flame was also way too powerful. It wasn't very windproof really. No matter how and where I heated my vapcap, I got nasty tasting, harsh vapor and scorched loads.
And it packed up very quickly.

Maybe yours are different, but this was the worst torch experience I had with my Omnivap.

On the other hand- Im now using the Vertigo triple Cyclone Dynavap sell. It is the best performing, most robust and best made torch I have tried. Ignites 100% of the time.
And is very very windproof. Most of all I tried, much more than the cheap ebay windproof one.

I must have been using the Cyclone for 3 months plus and still going strong. I recommend it.

Well, there is the problem, you have to buy at least 3 to make sure you get a good one.:lol:
All three of mine are still going great, no problems since I glued the flame lock button so they don't accidentally stay on.:tup:
Plus I only use them occasionally now anyway, there are many better ways to enjoy a Vapcap, I have even been taking my $10 homemade IH with me in a jacket pocket when out and about.:haw:

Good luck. I bought vapcaps for a few years after they came out. I spent quite a bit of money looking for a lighter that kept working- without success. I think that's the main reason I gave up on them. Now I have a heater for them and it has made a huge difference.

Ha ha. Maybe the worst (and most expensive) I've ever tryed. Ridiculy small tank. When full works like a flamethrower, when half empty (after 1-2 vapcap rounds) becomes weak. I was searching for a quality lighter, but the problem is inside I guess. Inside components are ALL the same quality so there's no difference... after a while, something become oxydated and the lighter will start to work bad. Happy if I'm wrong and someone points me to a really durable one (more than 6 month).
Still in flame anyway. IH did not catch me and I really can't understand why... strong smoking memories maybe..?!

I usually just look for the cheapest butane I can find with the keen-newport near zero impurities label.
I can't find the list on their website anymore but they bottle butane for a lot of different brands thathatt are all basically the same stuff if they have the near zero impurities label
