Thanks for that reminder. That book was my most prized possession next to Stranger In A Strange Land. Wish I knew where it ended up. Many enjoyable hours trying out shit from that book.Bruce@Zephyr said:I do not use drugs and never will, I learned everything i needed to know from Ernie Lindquist now that I know everything I do not need him anymore, he lives at 126 Main street and hides his stash in the shower curtain rod -slight paraphrase Childs Garden of Grass
In Canada, a cop must be in uniform, or at least, they cannot try to trick you by dressing as a pot head, or a dealer, or even a prostitute. Entrapment is very illegal in Canada.PerseusStoned said:http://criminal-law.freeadvice.com/juvenile_law/police_lie_questioning.htmthe electrician said:and dont forget guys when dealing with someone you dont know always ask if they are with the police because the police can never lie and if they do lie thats entrapment and they go to jail not you
I'm half-way certain you're jokingly passing on this myth, but just in case someone reads it and doesn't get it I want to make sure they know the truth.
Yeah I know a good deal of cops, and I know they will lie to you to get you to say the wrong thing. The second you say the right words or phrase you get popped. I almost got arrested for blowing a cops cover. But since I didn't really do anything wrong I didn't get arrested, just ended up pissing off a cop.Mark said:In Canada, a cop must be in uniform, or at least, they cannot try to trick you by dressing as a pot head, or a dealer, or even a prostitute. Forgive my ethnocentrism, of course I was talking from an American's point of view. Unfortunately I have no experience with that of any other countries.Mark said:In Canada, a cop must be in uniform, or at least, they cannot try to trick you by dressing as a pot head, or a dealer, or even a prostitute. As far as I know claiming "someone else" posted something rarely works as a legal defense; there is a fine line between "reasonable doubt" and "can't 100% prove it". Lots of people have gotten busted for blog posts on the internet even with incredulous claims. I'm mostly only familiar with cases from a business perspective (i.e. trader secrets or posting things about the office, getting fired, then suing claiming it wasn't you), but I'd be pretty surprised if the laws acted differently for drug posts.steiner666 said:or someone guessed your password and posted things under your account. I don't really think that posting on the internet will be that admissible in court. Even if you posted your full name, you could still claim it was someone else. if they can trace it back to an IP you can say someone got on your PC while you were out, or your wifi was unsecured.
i think internet paranoia is usually well beyond what it should be
oh ok, thx. That's nice swim.Lo said:SWIM = Annoying!
Looks like an acronym for: See what I mean
So what, I'm mean??
Actually, entrapment is not legal. However, a very strict interpretation of the term by the DA means that they can get EXTREMELY close without breaking it (according to them).Raf007 said:oh ok, thx. That's nice swim.
But then what the link with entrapment ?* lol
anyway, I remember clearly from my law class (americain law class that is) that entrapment is clearly legal in your country.
