Besides cooling the vapor, what is the purpose of a water filter attached to a vaporizer?
Can it remove any remaining contaminants?

And it sure does look cool.
Moisturizing.
If it moisturizes, does not cut down on dehydration that cannabis can cause?
I'm putting the kettle on for a couple very hot ( be careful and let it cool a little first ! ) water bongs... You think less is loss w/ hot water?
Yes, warm/hot water will reduce the amount of condensation and therefor reduce the amount of vapor lost
For bud I see it mostly being used to get bigger quicker hits since if most people follow through on their videos where they are showing off their vape bonging skills it seems they cough their ass off half the time trying to take in three hits or even a sessions worth of vapor in one hit, so I don't believe the 'smoothing out the hit' bit most of the time myself but believe it's the same reason we smoked bongs back in the day and that was to get Fucked up faster with bigger hits (even if you coughed up a lung every time) you couldn't take easily with just a dry bowl of joint.
Oil and wax seem a different scenario though and water filtration seems more of a real need, for me anyways.
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANTAnd it makes those soothing bubbling sounds.
Maybe it was just me, but I always thought the idea was to take the biggest hit you can WITHOUT COUGHING. Sure, coughing may get you a little higher (or high a little faster) but I always had too much of a love of breathing to make myself cough intentionally. And I appreciate that even more now as I look around at all the folks I know with varying levels of COPD.For bud I see it mostly being used to get bigger quicker hits since if most people follow through on their videos where they are showing off their vape bonging skills it seems they cough their ass off half the time trying to take in three hits or even a sessions worth of vapor in one hit, so I don't believe the 'smoothing out the hit' bit most of the time myself but believe it's the same reason we smoked bongs back in the day and that was to get Fucked up faster with bigger hits (even if you coughed up a lung every time) you couldn't take easily with just a dry bowl of joint.
