I miss this thread so I am bringing it back. I hope nobody minds?

Thank you sbh ,
Very interesting read about my fellow THC enthusiasts :)

For 3/4 of my working career and currently, I've been in Warehouse/Distribution . ( shipping/receiving )

But I did a stint as an Exterminator for a large pest control company in Canada . ( you know the 1 )
But working with pesticide and rodenticide effected my health . imo
So I had to stop .

And now , I'm working in Distribution for a major Pharmaceutical company .
Where I am " indirectly " providing essential medications to the patients that rely on them .
Ironic , I know .
I also rely on My Meds being delivered in a timely manner when I need them :)

This thread is a good one .
So ....No President of the United States ....yet ? hehe

Ahh , memories .
Did you ever fumigate a restaurant for cockroaches ?
Turn on the " smoke machine " and watch it rain with thousands of dying roaches .
Coming out of the ceiling tiles and cabinets and of course , the dish washing area .

Yes , some of the eating establishments allowed their infestations to get that out of hand !
Where several years back we adopted the " red, yellow , and green " passes that eateries
had to display prominently at their entrance . Red = shut down , yellow = open ,but fixing
problem , green = passed . Excellent Health code rule . I only go green , why take a chance
with yellow :)

Yeah, I work in the hospitality industry: bartender/server. While it won't make me rich anytime soon, I still love the industry. It is never boring and for the most part you really do meet some interesting people. Plus I really do enjoy being able to talk new people on a daily basis.

I was a chef in NYC for 15 years before switching over to the staffing side of things. Now I provide culinary and hospitality professionals to hotels and country clubs all over the east coast, both temporary and permanent. I've been doing this for the lat 10 years, it still allows me to be part of the culinary arts world but gives me freedom on nights and weekends to hang with my wife and kids.

Oh...and it gives me time to vape

Bringing back an old thread again, but like the topic. Shows that marijuana users aren't a bunch of deadbeats as society use to label them. Anyway been working in group homes and currently a day program (same company) for mentally and physically disabled individuals for just short of five years now. Love the work, company ehhhhhh. Kinda realizing needed figure something out to be self employed. Tired making big bucks for bosses while getting paid scraps. But does keep bud in the vape so can't whine to much:cry:

I've been working at a private country club since 2008, started as a food runner for buffets and dining. I also bar tend, run a snack shack on the golf course, run a skeet and trap shooting hut, help house keeping, help the kitchen, help the servers, help the car parkers. I still food run today and cover 8 different departments. I have got to the point that I'm simply a full time bottom of the barrel employee that wont say no so I am tossed any and everywhere. I work every holiday and sometimes not even with time and a half pay due to religious holidays. I'm clearly over my job and just plotting the right move until I can proceed with my own business.

My goal is to move to Burlington Vermont and open a vape shop.

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
Int'l commodity trader, bouncer, security/escort for strippers, mechanic, stores manager for a major diesel engine manufacturer, few different business('s) owner, construction, electrician, and finally a retired disabled multiple injuries victim living the 'high' life

Never really found my niche in jobs/careers, as I always got bored too quick , and even though it hurts and confuses me the most in this forced retirement of mine... I think I'll keep this job as my most preferred :D

I'm a pub brewer. I brew craft beer in a brewpub. Started as a home brewer. When a brew pub opened in my home town I was a regular and just kept bugging them for a job. Started doing the grunt work (scrubbing floors, hauling kegs, moving sacks of grain around) and moved up. Now I'm all by myself in a brewpub. I write my own recipes, brew the beer, clean up, order everything I need, and do paper work (mostly tax forms for the beer).

Started as a paperboy as a kid, worked in maintenance through high school. From there, the auto parts store and then as a mechanic. I have been a Tow truck driver and then I worked at a resort doing maintenance. HVAC work after that to commercial refrigeration in the fishing industry as a welder/ brazer/fabricator doing production work. Then a few years doing CNC in the aerospace industry and then finally back to welder/brazer for the same outfit.

I get bored easily after about 5 years though.

@CaptianDave, I just brewed a dark lager, AG/BIAB. Though I'm fermenting it as an ale with S-05. Hope to have it on the gas in 3 weeks

Nice! A all grain/ brew in a bag? I always thought that would be a great technique to do a all grain with out having to buy a mash tun/latur tun/ hot liqueur back! I never could make a good lager until I had temp control over the fermentation. S-05 is real clean. Ferment it cold (58*F). Then raise it 2*F every 2 days. Should come out with out to many esters.

I entered the work force as an Assistant Caregiver, but that field was just a tad bit depressing for me. Three years after that I took up dish boy, then bussing tables, host, then waiting tables for a year or two.
Currently I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and am finding much enjoyment relieving muscle pain and tightness. For those that can take the pain, that is
