Welcome!

That's par for the course. If you really want to give vaporizing a good try, quit smoking and vape only for about a week. That'll give you a chance to experience a clean high, which you can't get with smoke. Smokers attribute ALL the effects from smoking to cannabis, while the truth is that you get smoke byproducts as well, and the sedative effect from those have nothing to do with mj. It could be that you'll end up preferring smoke over vapor, if you like the more wasted high and smoke doesn't bother you. Vaping isn't for everyone, but it's growing in popularity all the time.

Surprisingly it's been growing on me very quickly. I've probably used my glass piece once this week. The high is very interesting to say the least.

Hi, FC. I'm brand new here. Just got Da Buddha local on crgslist with all new oem glass, barely used, $65. I was so excited. Been reading about it and almost bought used VB on eby.
I like what Max wrote up there...it's par for the course...,

Daily burner here. Been thinking about vaping for a while. Never tried it long term. Just a few times here there. Had this since sat nite. Today is first day of no burn. So, I'm gonna go all vape for the week or so and see if I like it. One problem is I like to consume after work, away from home. So that's a challenge, but potentially doable.
So I'll see if I like vaping. As soon as I can get more leaf. Damn what a time to run out!! Lol.

Greetings everyone,

I've been lurking since around october, finally decided to make an account based on how often I'm on the forum.

I'm 27 and based out of the Philadelphia area. I guess I'm lucky in some ways in that my only experience has been with edibles and vaping- I have never burned once. My first experience with any of this was with a mflb that my friend uses as his sole device- I must have managed to get around the learning curve because it certainly medicated me pretty thoroughly.

After that I was pretty convinced that There would be a future with me and cannabis products. I researched desktop units pretty extensively and (based on lurking here) ended up getting an SSV blemished model during their christmas/ny sale. That vape is awesome.

As time went on I wanted to discreetly vape when not at home- I looked into portables and ended up with a Firewood 2.1, again based on recommendations here and elsewhere.

Just last week I ended up getting an herbalaire- mainly because I was sick of my friends coughing, laughing and talking while using my ssv and blowing all my product into the heater cover/heating element, typically this was happening like once a session whenever it wasn't me or my regulars, plus my girlfriend does a lot better with bags.

Overall I'm a pretty happy user, I'm looking forward to contributing to the discussion here.

2015 is a year for Kaizen. I recently left a $180K a year job that was slowly killing me, ended an absurdly improbable relationship, and started down an equally improbable path that includes expressive writing (something I did in my younger days) and Yoga (a new habit which, had you suggested to me a year ago, would have resulted in donkey laughs from me and an odd reaction from you).

Just about a year ago, I also traded a pack-a-day cigarette habit for an e-cig, and my results have been favourable in every respect, which is what brings me here.

Part of my new trip involves being easier on myself. Depression and Anxiety are my trekking companions, and my behaviour-reward pathways are, shall we say, deeply neuroelastic. In other words, what you might call a compulsively addictive personality.

My go-to distraction, my medicine of choice, has always been alcohol. The last time I smoked cannabis was around 20 years ago, during university. But throughout my adult life, it's been commonplace for me to enjoy somewhere between six and ten drinks per night, five or six nights a week.

I intend to try replacing ethanol with cannabinoids, to see if I can reduce the physical price I pay for a neurological pattern of behaviour.

As I dropped a 25 year tobacco-smoking habit, the last thing I wish to do is smoke something else, so here I am. See you around the forums...

Welcome! Good lifestyle changes. Sounds like you're taking the right steps to head off an early demise. I 'highly' recommend ditching alcohol for cannabis. I'm a decades long regular user of herb, yet if I skip a day, it's not a problem.

Hello all,

I've been posting a bit but never really introduced myself.

I live just outside Toronto. I use to do bong hits every day. Would smoke a 1/4 in a week. Well more than a 1/4. Was a heavy smoker too. One day my lung collapsed. I quit everything for 2 years.

Just recently I decided to get back into it. My buddy has an Arizer Air. I tried it. Did the research on vapor and now I'm back to it. Nothing beats the first high of the day may it be at 9am or 5pm.

I am an extremely under paid paralegal in an awful company. I can't get out and I have been trying for 2 years. I recently started smoking dope to cure the stress, anxiety, and depression this job causes after hours and especially on my weekend.

Greetings fellow combustion fuckers! I've been browsing this forum for the last couple of years and figured it was about time I joined up. My first experience with vaping was about 15 years ago with a friend who had a vapor brothers box vape. I thought it was great, but pretty much forgot about it as it was the only vaping experience I had for many years. I continued to combust whenever i was able to consume and only through lung irritation and dumb luck did I stumble on this site. After much research I finally bit the bullet and bought an Arizer solo (which I love), since then I've acquired a few more, and now much prefer vaping to combustion!
I work in the IT field, but am usually not up to date on anything tech related. I love the outdoors, and can usually be found snowboarding, scuba diving, camping, hiking or skating every chance I get.
I Hope to be able to contribute something of value to this forum, and look forward to learning much more!

Hey all,

Been a lurker on here for a while now, so now I'm finally joining in on the fun. Have owned a few vaporizers over the years but don't actively vape anymore.

I'm a software engineer with an interest in electronics and have been planning on some hardware mods to my vapes, but only started doing it recently. Don't really have all too much else to say other than it's nice to officially be here!

Welcome to FC's Vapor Lounge. We are happy you have joined our community, and here is your opportunity to introduce yourself...

Please say anything you'd like about yourself, your vape, or anything else that will let us know what we are dealing with.

Enjoy!

Hello all new member here. First vape was a vapor bros whip thing. Long time ago.
Have had several portable units mostly crap. Pens are crap.(they have their place though)
Own a Pax1. For me the way I use it it's great. Very wasteful since I throw away the brown once the flavor goes. I waste weed. Especially in the Pax. But the 3 or 4 huge flavor hits are worth it for me! Call me crazy. I am not a fan of high temp vaping. More often I use the pax on low packed tight. It's a hard suck. Ok I've evolved.
I now use a crafty. No waste. I still toss the brown. I use 370 degrees and am super pleased by the balance between flavor and effect.
I hate smoking weed.
Vapor works.

As a kid a 10 or 12 year old pot head it was all about my small 12 " bamboo bong.
The crafty is like that for me here in the 21 century. No smoke, stealthy and nice.

I have traveled far and wide to experience unique varieties of high quality weed in unique places.

I prefer natural sun grown but strong indica types.
There are too many diesel and catpiss sour varieties and not enough pine/fruit/sweet available locally. Every time I find something I love it's gone a week later.
Great thing about it is that I can be choosy.
I'm sure most of you all are too.

Good to meet you all

For years, I came around whenever researching vape purchases. A month or two ago, I started looking around more frequently, just generally browsing.

Finally, I had some questions I really wanted to ask and registered!

I am disabled with chronic pain from fibromyalgia and vaping -- along with nootropics -- help me with the stress from my pain without being as 'out of it'. That's very important to me.

Furthermore, my bronchitis had progressed over 10 years of bong smoking and the coughing was causing me muscle spasms in my neck and head. I had vaped before -- an older Extreme, which needed a lot of parts -- so I ordered a solo. After getting my PVHEGoG, I haven't looked back!

Combustion free (except when my vapes are out) for 2 years!

Hello fellow FC'ers.

Almost at 500 posts and I havn't even said hello yet.

Oops. :tinfoil:

I came here originally with a silly problem with a vape. But have returned, again and again quiet simply because of the calibre of personage on this here forum and the honest and sometimes deep conversations that can occur.

I'm a UK based vaporist with a growing collection. Thanks to you very imformative people. This is my 3rd year of exclusive vaporising.

I decided to quit at 20+ affiliation with tobacco filled spiffs after my Dad starting developing later stages of COPD.

I would like to say a massive thank you to all the wonderful people here at this commune for your support (you guys don't realise how much your likes and comments mean to me) and help dealing with my VAS.

You guys are the best.

Hey everyone here at FC . I'm livewithkindness I'm 50 years old live in the not so great state of NC . I'm from GA . I spent 10 years in the USAF as a tactical aircraft mechanic , 10 years as a law enforcement officer , and 10 years as a TSA supervisor ,and now I am disabled and on retirement disability. I smoked some in high school and some my 2 years in college. I have 3 boys 29,25,23. Once I joined the air force I stopped smoking mj 1983. After my sons were teenagers I was a strong "just say no" person . And there was no way anyone could tell me cannabis could be used for pain . I thought it was just an excuse . After finding out my oldest son was smoking pot I tried everything to get him to stop he was about 21 when I found out fast forward some years and I couldn't work because of the back pain stonois spelled wrong sorry. Anyway I'm on 6 30 mg oxycodone and 3 soma a day. Its helps with the pain a lot but not completely . After seeing all the news about legal cannabis in some states I had my son get me some . The first joint knocked me out. After trying it again only useing a couple of puffs I noticed it really helped a lot . Now I don't take as many pain meds when I can vape . Vapeing is awesome because I learned that the different temps have different effects on different levels of pain . I can now dial in exactly what I need without getting wasted. This forum has helped me a lot and made me a convert both in mj use and the awesomeness of the vaporizer.

Hey. New to the forum and just recently started vaping. Well I did until my vape - Pinnacle Pro bought from greenvapes.co.uk stopped working and I'm having the worst time trying to get the owner, Marc, to repair or replace under the terms of the warranty it came with. Has anyone else had any problems with that site?

Hello all,

I've been a very long time lurker (since October 2013) and i finally decided to register and try to be a little less shy.

I'm female, in my forties and living in the heart of Europe.
I've been vaping for almost 2 years now thanks to the good advices i found in this forum.
I'm mainly a medical user for chronic pain, owner of a solo and a flowermate as backup.

This forum is the best when it comes to vaporizers. I can't believe all the info you guys share regularly, THANK YOU !!

Hello good people of fc!

Just signed up this week after lurking for waaaay too long (was starting to feel like a peeping tom-bella, lol).

Ok, some details: i'm an aussie who has been smoking bongs for about 25yrs and who is about to become a dedicated vaporist. On day 11 of my 15 day t-break and looking forward to never combusting again. To be honest i've really struggled to make the swap from combustion. It's been a 5 yr process ( i'm embarrassed to admit that but it's true) and it took me a while to concede that i needed to bring down my enormous tolerance (2-2.5g per day) and get rid of the tobacco mixes.
I needed to make a clean break from combusting and start over - swapping back and forth just wasn't working for me.

So, here i am, ready and waiting for monday night when i can unpack my yet-to-be-used extremeQ and declare myself a genuine vaporista! This time i am setting myself up for success: all my combustion gear has been gifted to friends and i have 4 decent vapes ready to use. I am determined to do this properly. My health is more important than a dirty smoking habit that wasn't working for me anymore.

Oh, and on a more personal level, i love stinking hot aussie summers, have a serious button phobia (can't even look at them without gagging) and i adore dogs and the mighty, mighty tigers (richmond fc -afl footy).

Hey, @Heavens, i'm also female and in my 40's...i look forward to getting to know you!
