Yeah, but climate change is just made up bullshit. Right?

"I would like to know if it can snow in Hawaii??

The answer is "yes". It snows here every year, but only at the very summits of our 3 tallest volcanoes (Mauna Loa, Mauna Kea and Haleakala). The snow level almost never gets below 9000 feet in Hawaii during the winter, but since these mountains are taller than 13,000 feet, 13,000 feet, and 10,000 feet, respectively, they get dusted with snow a few times a year. It rarely stays on the ground for more than a few days though.
Although the rest of the island chain enjoys warm tropical weather the entire year-round, there have been "freak" cold storms a few times this century that have brought local snow storms down to as low as 3000 to 4000 feet. This snow has melted very quickly, however."

Also important to point out, climate change doesn't just mean hotter summers. It also means colder winters. A warming arctic deranges long holding weather patterns in the rest of the world.

Semi Truck Drags Sedan Down Illinois Highway

The incident occurred on the Tri-State Tollway (I-294), west of Chicago. While recording, a bystander driving down the highway approached a semi-truck. Things immediately seemed off as smoke emitted from beneath the trailer. As the bystander got closer, it became clear that a black Honda Accord was trapped beneath the trailer and being dragged down the highway. The trailer crushed the front of the Accord between the A and B pillars. Though somehow, the driver started to wave at the bystander, seemingly okay.

LayLisha Gardner, the driver of the trapped Honda, called 911 multiple times during the ordeal. The Illinois State Police responded to the incident and reported that no one was injured. In an interview with WGN Radio, Gardner’s attorney claims that the semi-truck moved from the left lane into Gardner’s Honda. The interviewer quickly pointed out that it seemed more likely that Gardner switched lanes directly into the trailer by how the car was pinned.

Mom Helped Son Behead His Pregnant Sister Before He Posed for a Selfie, Police Say

The 19-year-old victim was reportedly attacked for marrying without her family’s consent. Her mother and brother are said to have proudly put her head on display afterwards.

A pregnant 19-year-old woman in India was allegedly decapitated with a sickle by her younger brother, who then posed for a selfie with her severed head along with their mother.

The horrific murder—deemed an honor killing after the woman eloped with her fiance without her family’s consent—took place in the western Indian state of Maharashtra on Sunday, according to the BBC. Both the young man, identified as Sanket Mote, and the pair’s mother, identified as Shobhabai Mote, have been arrested in connection with the murder of the woman, named Kirti Avinash Thore.

“Kirti was preparing tea when Sanket attacked her from behind with a sickle while the mother caught her daughter’s legs,” Kailash Prajapati, Assistant Police Commissioner, SDPO Vaijapur told local media. “He beheaded her and brought the head outside the house. We suspect that the mother and son took a selfie with her head. We have sent the phone to the forensic lab to try and retrieve the photo. The duo then left on the bike.”

Local media reports suggest that the woman’s mother and brother came to visit the couple ostensibly to reconcile, but when her newlywed husband left the room to give them privacy, the pair allegedly killed her. The husband reportedly fled the house out of fear he might also be killed.

It is unclear if the sickle was in the house or if the mother and son had concealed it with intent to use it.

Indian news agency ANI says the 38-year-old mother and her 18-year-old son dragged the victim’s head out of the house and put it on display in front of neighbors, apparently admitting to the crime.

The man told police that his sister failed to secure consent before marrying her boyfriend last June. She had become estranged from her family since the elopement but her mother visited her a week before she was killed, at which time she learned her daughter was pregnant.

She and her son returned a week later and allegedly carried out the horrific murder.

"the most successful press campaign by a group of well-funded people who have, for 50 years, dedicated themselves to their belief that psychic powers, telekinesis, poltergeists, life after death, shapeshifters, and inter-dimensional aliens are all closely interconnected"

So at this point, I'm nearly 100% convinced that all the UFO hysteria over the summer was just some sort of Pentagon ploy to get more funding. Like, "Cold War II" but this time the commies are coming from space.

And it seems to have worked. We're on track to spend like 9 trillion on "defense" over the next 10 years. More than the Pentagon even asked for. In peacetime. Also I like how funnelling trillions to Raytheon and Lockheed over the next decade definitely won't increase INFLATION. But spending a tiny fraction of that amount to give dental care to seniors who paid into Medicare for decades definitely will. Adorable country.

I don't think they needed the UFO hysteria to get the big bucks. They always get what they want, and as you saw, often more than they ask for. The lobbyists for makers of weapons of war are big spenders...

I posted this in the quotes thread but it works here too:

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies in the final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed."

— Dwight D. Eisenhower

Between that and the military industrial complex speech, 'ol Ike would be considered a radical communist today.

Air Force enlistee Katelyn Lucille Day, 29, planned to poison the father of her newborn child with fentanyl. But fate, and federal agents, eventually intervened.

The surreal plot is laid out in a Jan. 5 opinion filed in the United States Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals, which affirmed a 10-year sentence handed down in 2020 to Airman 1st Class Katelyn Lucille Day, 29, for attempted premeditated murder; attempted conspiracy to commit premeditated murder; solicitation to commit murder; attempted conspiracy to commit murder; and attempted wrongful possession of fentanyl. In addition to a decade behind bars, Day, who was stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base in northwest Louisiana, was demoted to the lowest rank available and dishonorably discharged from the service.

Day’s intended target, identified in court records by the initials “TD,” was her then-spouse Tyler Day, 28, his family confirmed to The Daily Beast. With his ex-wife in prison, Tyler Day, who was not in the Air Force and was unable to be reached, has moved on and is “doing great,” his mother, who asked not to be named, said on Wednesday.
