I mean they're nice to you when they pull you over because they want you to keep talking and incriminate yourself. "Do you know how fast you were going?"
There's plenty of video of Grizzly Bears being chill next to wildlife photographers. Avoiding bears is still good advice, statistically. You're about a million times more likely to get murdered or have your life ruined by a cop than them helping you.
I'd also suggest talking to people who've raised brown or black teenagers. Very common to have "the talk" with your kids, and I'm not talking about the birds and the bees.

There's a concerted effort in the Right Wing Bullshit-o-sphere to paint the killer as a "Left Wing Radical". The shooter was a rent-a-cop, military contractor, small business idiot who is targeting Democrats and protests against Trump.
