Discontinued VRIPtech Heating Wand

Definitely haven't tried beads. Thanks I should prolly give that a try. Something i hadn't ever heard of until stumbling on it here.

I have tried all 3 of my glass pieces, none of which are very large at all.

You know, maybe my lung power just isn't up to scratch.

I agree with he above comments (tiny beads and less water could create less drag by decreasing the water pressure and spreading the bubble around the base more).

A diffuser could help too but you would want one with more total airspace than the hole at the bottom of your current downstem (I am sure Blazemaster could spin you one hell of a beastly-drag-free diffuser and Vrip bowl if you asked kindly) :D

Don't forget that you can use the seed beads with the diffuser set-up for extra smoothness if you should decide to do to.

Hope this helps.

Toke it easy.

PS: Good choice on the VHW

Awsome responses guys. Thanks alot! :D

So i think i'm gonna give the beads a go but i'll also order myself a nice diffuser. Heck you can never have too much vaping equipment. I feel like i've tried different water levels with no real success, i think the issue is the chug chug, and my severely abused lungs! I find i get the milkiest hits when i pull at higher speeds as opposed to slowly milking it. A few more combustion free months and hopefully my lung power will pick up some more.

I'll report back after chrissy break with my results. Thanks.

I ordered a VHW a few days ago (really looking forward to using it) and had a few questions:

1) I'm planning on buying a glass piece in NYC. Can you get anything real (not fake) for around $150? Is it really worth getting an authentic piece? Is a Roor woerh it?

2) Carb hole or not? I'm leaning toward getting the piece WITH a hole, but is there any disadvantages I don't know about?

3) Has anyone tried to use the wand with an inverter? Does it matter if it's a pure sine wave inverter? (These cost a lot more.)

4) Is there a big difference in effect between using a Diffuser versus a Downtube? From what I understand, all diffusers are downtubes, but not all downtubes are diffusers. Is that correct? Which is "better"?

Thanks for any info.

Happy Holidays. Happy Vaping.

1. Hells yes! I'll let some of the NYCFC'ers chime in with specifics. I know I've got some money stashed the next time I'm in the city to pick up an illadelph spoon, but there are all kinds of pieces to tempt you.

2. I say no. Used to be a carb fan, but with the VHW, you may not want to tie up a hand just covering the carb hole. I often wish I had another two hands like a hindu god to hold the tube, wand, cord from getting tangle, and one to clear the bowl. It's just easier to clear the piece by removing the bowl.

3. Can't comment, dunno.

4. I enjoy a diffuser better. Forcing the air through little holes I believe creates more surface contact area with the water, producing cooler vapor. Plus it looks sick! Downstem is the name for the tube that connects the bowl with the main body, so a diffuser is a kind of downstem.

Happy wintertime vaping. It's cold and wet here, perfect vape weather.

Dude you should take pictures of it so they can see how the screen sits in it. It's friggin perfect. And yes. That is a custom blown blazemaster bowl. He got a matchin ti swing as well. This is his third try for no smoke. Finaly found the pefect design for the VHW. Airflow like you wouldn't believe.

i thought having the vapor travel true a smaller hole made the vapor thicker, which is the main difference between the vhw and the herbo?

Nope the main difference is the element is completly enclosed on the vhw and air passes over the open element in the herbo. Vriptech had a bowl that narrowed but discontinued it because it didn't work well. The vrip tech slides had a big opening. And this new blazemaster design has even more. It's like pulling through the joint because the joint is the smallest part.

The wand is unlike most vapes. It likes to be hit hard. Sometimes the harder you hit it the better it works. I've seen some big dudes with amazing lung capacity make vapor look like smoke.

We were using his wand which has a higher vt1 setting on full blast with a shorter than normal bowl and it didn't even come close to combusting. It was pretty amazing. Best wand sesh to date for me.

Like Minnesnowta says with the Vrip heating element and the way the glass encloses the heat it retains heat very well, and unlike other vaporizers allows you to hit as hard as you want without losing much heat. :brow: Also with increased airflow the herb doesn't darken as much on the first few pulls because the hot air is flowing through at such a fast pace allowing for the taste to last longer which I am loving. That and the giant vapor i'm pulling out of this thing now. :ko: That's one of the beautiful things about the wand, along with its versatility, so many things about this wand that I could go on and on about it's number 1 in my lineup for sure.

I have some pics on my phone I just gotta upload them too lazy. But yeah the screen barely bends and sits perfectly tight in the bowl.

So you had him make that custom?
Me and Blazemaster were emailing back and forth and I told him what I thought would be the perfect Vrip slide and it turned out to be a charm. I wanna say thanks a million to Blazemaster cause the slide is perfect, can't say it enough.

Heres a better vid then the previous one posted, I adjusted the lighting big tasty vapes.... this is at low temp, herb barely yellowed.

It's really not that bad lo. As long as your aware that it's all glass and hot you'll be fine. It really isn't akward or anything. It feels like a soldering iron or even a curling iron. It really is unlike any vaporizer out there. There's a couple that come close but I like being able to use it on any bong or bubbler that has a gong fitting. I'm sure you'd love it if you bit the bullet and got one

lo - i support the decision to get a VHW. You quickly adapt and learn how to handle a more fragile piece. You just need to remember a few things:

Have a place to put it down
Explain in detail how to use it with everyone that will be operating with it
It's glass, so treat it like glass
Plug it in a surge protector

I think if you follow those rules, you will be treated to the tastiest vapor and ensure the longevity of your VHW

well the water tool that came with it works well enough but in hindsight I could have done without it and just used my Jerome Baker or even picked up a nice straight tube at the headshop near me that I just found out had glass a few days ago lol.
The water tool is smaller and less ergonomic than I expected.

The VHW has a nice home on my desk in a coffee mug.
It hits beautifully and the taste is out of this world!even at the end of a bowl you never get the burned popcorn/nutty/barnyard taste and the ABV has more of a gold color rather than brown.

NExt up will prolly be a SSV,or maybe a PD, to hit at night with the wife while chillin on the couch.

One of these days I'll get my hands on one of these little devils, the videos of it alone are enough to knock me on my ass. What i would like to see is it used with a bong, or even a chalice for a couple laughs, hooked up to a gasmask. i imagine you might end up a trifle stoned

Ok so finally got around to uploading some pics of my Blazemaster slide, which I can't get enough of!! All my other vapes have taken a permanent vacation, besides the PD on road trips. I habve been using .2 to .3 per bowl never more and have been getting 9 juicy hits ( and I'm talking juicy, taste still intact and all) and 3 whispys, the best effieciency I have ever experienced for the size of the rips.

I can't figure out how to link one single pic thru Picasa, which is the Google program my phone uploads thru, so here's my album.
