Me again. I haven't been able to find a funnel or any other kind of filling tool for the chamber reducer... Should be easy enough to make with a 3D printer I am sure... Would love to be hear if anyone has done it

Does anyone know how much power imthr Hybrid draws once it is already up to temp?

Everything online says the heater draws 100w, but surely it would be less to maintain temp? I know many people leave thr Hybrid turned on most the day. I don't think people would be doing that if it's drawing 100w.

Here is what I found from the web site Volcano tips. Heat Element Only: Draws 0.82 Amp or 100 Watts · Fan Only: Draws 0.12 Amp or 11 Watts · Fan and Heat Element Together: Draw 0.94 Amp or 111 Watts.

That's all I could find also. But I also don't see howmitnwould continue to draw as much power once up to temp. Oh well

They still have a Champs promotion and discount 15% off Classic and Venty.

I already have a Volcano Digit and I’m VASing about getting the Hybrid or not, pretty much since its launch. My understanding from what I have read many times here is that workflow, Bluetooth capabilities and the App, are nothing to call home about and that the core business is still the bag system. The whip is just a novelty and I will stop using it very early when I’ll realize it will get sticky with oils and will stink just after a few uses.
But then I bought the Venty, I got hooked to it because of its airflow annd being able to cash a bowl “ballvape style” in 2/3 hits at 210°C. I would love if the whip system would replicate Venty’s performance. From the specs on S&B website, the airflow on the Hybrid using the whip is 30L/min which is the same as Plenty’s and incredibly 33% higher than Venty’s (20L/min). On paper it seems like the airflow on the Hybrid’s whip is even better than the Venty, I would love if it performed like a Venty without batteries, is it just a pita to clean the whip or what?
Thanks in advance.

Hi! I enjoy using a 4ft whip attached to a Mega Cube under a ball vape. I clean the cube and whip minutes after every use (just part of my thing). Both the cube and the whip come squeaky clean with just hot water if cared for that soon. However, if I wait even just an hour, both develop a thin sheen of oil/wax/gunk that hot water has a more difficult time removing, but a dose of 99% alcohol cuts just fine. I never use a piece that isn't clean, so I don't know about multi-use build up.

BTW, I've also used a whip attached directly to my Arizer Air Max stem. Works great and cleans easily with hot water if done immediately.

Hi,

Coming out of the lurker woods to comment because I really wanted to love the whip as a volcano hybrid owner. Before the volcano hybrid, I had an Arizer EQ, so I knew I loved bags, but wanted the whip capability.

I have 5,927 hours on my volcano hybrid (it was my daily driver for 3 yrs) and I'd say the bag has gotten 99.5% of that use. I want to love it, but aside from a couple of lucky times, I haven't been able to get the draw right.

Using the dosing capsules with the reducer chamber improves the experience over the regular chamber by about 25% for me, but it's still not satisfying, especially compared to a good Venty hit. I have tried it with and without WPAs and if you turn the pump on and use a WPA, then it's easier to keep up with the pump, but it's still not what I'm after. I bought a SSV with the baller mod last fall and that has a whip that is very satisfying to use in comparison.

I switched the whip to the kind from EleV8 that came with my SSV and that helped with the sticky/stinky situation that happens with the original whip from the oils accumulating, so if you do go that route, there are other options for whip tubing.

Any tips to look out for if buying a used hybrid? There’s a guy about 45 mins away with one advertised on FB. The price is good, but I don’t know if I’d like the bag system. He said the screens for the housing chamber need replacing (whatever that means). Thanks for any advice.

I switched from the Supreme 4 to the Hybrid. Better flavor from the Supreme but way more power from the Hybrid. I have NO regrets at all!

Please let me know how the Obsidian functions with the Volcano hybrid. I’m thinking about purchasing one also.
You're saying the volcano stronger than using the supreme with the tube? Apparently using the supreme directly with tube stronger than using a bowl such as the stainless steel bowl due to the added conduction.

What temperature did you notice this?

Do you have the newer versions of the volcano with the ceramic coating around the aluminum and is the newer version as strong as the previous versions?

how are you able to see volcano hybrids on facebook? I listed mine and the post got removed for being a tobacco product

When you pack are you actually tamping down tight or pretty much just laying it in there with kinda just a light touch? Jw, trying to get this dialed in.
packing it tight reduces airflow in my experience, there's a sweet spot in how tight you pack a bowl where you get alot of vapor and it last long, ive packed too many very tight and they go out too fast
