It's here.....Yay (11:20 a.m. UK time)
So here's a brief tale of tape, thus far
The packaging is nice, very snazzy, you get four balloons one of which is the changeable easy valve, and also a whip, plus other accessories, i.e. brush filters, etc, I dived straight into the whip, fortunately, I had the reducer, so I went with that. For those who already have the Plenty, the sketch is similar, in terms of the pieces for the attachments and how they fit together.
Switching it on is different to the Volcano Digit, (please note that at the time of writing, I have not bothered with the Bluetooth stuff) first thing I noted, was the power cord is not attached, but when you attach it and plug it in, the Volcano lights up, not having read the manual, I was kinda wondering what next? Anyway, I just set (pressed) the Heat switch and it started to heat up, it kinda made me jump when it reached the required temp, cos the pump comes on for about a second as the notification sound. Anyway on to the business end, the Volcano Hybrid is exactly like the Plenty in terms of its draw resistance, Sweet!!
I am impressed, I absolutely love it, and I have not even started, this is just first impressions, thus far,
The reducer load has rocked me, I would advise that if you are going to use the full bowl, either do it with company, or clear your schedule for the day, this is definitely for the eveing, or last thing at night if you are an insomniac. I was going to say with the whip, you might have an issue if you have weak lungs, but then I just tried the whip with a blast of the air..
Let's just say there is no issue, I just gave it a short blast and yeah the assist is real.
Oh and furthermore, just like the Plenty, you can take the herb holder off the Volcano in between tokes or sessions - whilst leaving the Volcano on, another thing to note, is that the timer feature is similar to the 'digit' in that the temps will start to fall after a period of time, unlike the classic. The swivel function on the whip is well thought out and works very well.
Having read some negativity about this appliance from people, (who ain't even got one), I would say go and get one, or at the very least, go and try one and then make (an informed) comment.
Indeed, I was always after the herbalizer because of the 'alleged' superior whip function, but I can say without hesitation that S & B have really nailed this one, proper!
I have not tried the balloon yet, (because I don't have to with a Volcano, as the balloon function is their bread and butter) but the whip function really is the business, this Volcano Hybrid is in my imho, the top of the Big league, The draw is similar to the Plenty, which is superior to the Mighty, it certainly is as good as the Vapexhale EVO, if not better, it rivals my Aromed 4 for quality of vapor, if not probably better, I am impressed and as I predicted, I don't care about the price.
This is the future, and the future is now, well at least it is, in my reality
Further update,
I've just loaded the big bowl with ABV and it was excellent, I whacked it up to 230'C and then hit it with a blast of hot air, and it certainly delivered. In addition to the obvious and instant benefits, I can see this saving me money already. As I found it makes the ABV taste nice, in addition to yielding a very nice vibe via the whip, something which was previously unacheivable with (either the digit or) the Plenty - due to its temperature limitations and lack of hot air.
I've also calibrated the Bluetooth now, hmm! I don't know if I will use it, but it's definitely handy to have, as for instance, you can get your phone to ring or play a tune to notify you when the Volcano Hybrid has reached the right temp, if you're elsewhere around your property.
(same for the Crafty, although, you'd probably have it with you anyway!)
