Alright, dudes, I bit. I look forward to getting an actual Sandcastle some day, but in the meantime I had to try this. Unsurprisingly, it works very nicely. First bowl was close to the edge, but my next was tasty and great quality. Probably not difficult to master with a bit of use.

The balls are not fused but held in place by a glass screen on either end. The balls under the herb chamber are held by nubs. The downside is the same as always: you use a lot of energy to heat it relatively speaking: I hit it with a 30 second blast with a med Firefox followed up by another 10 or 15 to get it going, but it roasted the entire load in one heating for 3 or so nice hits. It was very tasty vapor, and I think the amount and density was satisfying as well. I'll have to play with it more.

so I just got my VHB slide this thing rips don't have a powerful enough torch for 30 second heat ups just a single flame jet just needs more time lol.
I think I'm in love haha, any ideas what coil would be good for this set up for handsfree heat something that can free stand? I don't know any coils at all will add photos

cant figure out uploading photos lol, changed my settings but no avail, learnt screens are night and day in the VHB tho without screen airflow blockage is pretty much a guarantee, with screen pulls much better, zero blockage and better maintenance/cleaner reclaim :) think I'm just going to get a blazer torch tho coil seems overkill, after initial heat up having the oven on the rig and just spinning it whilst inhaling slowly and adding heat to ride the line between combustion and vaping gives huge hits like catch your breath after hits haha. tents to vape the top half more than the bottom half but you can just tap the bowl over your abv tub and remove the top dark layer then resit in the oven to finish without further heating. personally think this is my end game don't really have a desire to buy any more vaping gear. vape quality is the pretty much the same as a sticky brick but without the steep learning curve to achieve this level of function for those who haven't experienced one its a thick flavourful cloud, shipping was faster than expected too US to UK delivery, zero custom charges :) overall very impressed thanks Steve

In order to share photos, you have to upload them to an external host, like imgur or imgbb (I go to their websites on my browser, imgur need desktop version view to upload and then just paste the url link here, imgbb can select just the bb code after uploading, paste what is in the img brackets here)

Really a wonderful vape. Amazing flavor. Hand-tear bud into chamber, ~30 second blast with the Firefox, nice full roast in a couple/three hits.

100% glass and the system to change the distance between the bowl and the "injector" to control the temperature, I like :love:
Just lake maybe a system to know what is the exact temperature when we heat the system.

Can anyone tell me if the diameter of the section you heat will fit inside the Wand? Wondering if I could heat it by encasing in iron wire or sleeve.

Guessing it's about 18mm given the inner tube is 14mm.

Ooooo ok. Thanks! Btw I have never removed the glass insert that the wand comes with. Is there a proper method to do this?

I'm afraid that's one for someone else; I have the SK nylon and silicon one which I'm sure pops right out and back in. If you'd like I can do that and see for sure before you mess with yours.

That would be much appreciated! Just wondering if the inner glass can be removed on the stock wand to give more clearance for the coil.

I can't answer the glass removal question but I'd guess not. I can tell you that the outer tube with the heating matrix WILL fit the Wand! It will not fit through the top, but the matrix fits inside with maybe 1.5mm gap around it. Sorry for the confusion, I'm barely awake!

Hi,

What the inner diameter and the lenght of the hole of the wand ?
I have not the chance to have the original VHB slide. Only its copy : the vapoThor. But I would like to have a better controll of the temperature than with the torch for this vape

Length of the glass hole is about 16mm (plus another 4mm or so for the plastic lip); ID is just about 15mm.

Ah! It looks like the OG VHB Slide will indeed fit the Wand, with it's matrix fitting more or less perfectly inside.
