Yeah it sucks that some Wands have different behavior. I've been lucky enough to have never seen an error on mine and it heats the atomizer pretty easily.
Maybe try the method I used to use before:
One more thing - after loading the bowl with flower, rap the top of the cap with your fingernail to dislodge any flower that might be stuck to the top on the inside. When this happens, it can lead to light scorching.
- Insert the Tornado from the back until it touches the back of the front glass
- Count 16 flashes (+/- 1 flash based on battery level or misc. factors) for the first time if the Tornado is cold. I find the tastiest hits come before any click so I try to avoid them. If it clicks while you're drawing that's fine.
- Count 8 flashes for any re-heats but definitely stop if you hear a click.
I can usually get 3-4 big hits from an 2/3 full bowl. Good luck!
I want to add to this.. I agree that some wand have different behavior.
I have 2 Ispire wands and when i insert tornado on either. They dont trigger heating at same height depth. Im guessing the sensor that detects the metal is not exactly on same location 1:1 as the 2nd Ispire wand. This might be the culprit why this easily triggers the error 01 on some wands. (i do get the error in both of my wands if inserted too deeply) a steady hand will help =)
