I think they would be nice, Jeff. Rick is supposed to holla at me and let me know what he's thinking, I just got a bunch of Cocobolo Blanks that have alot of color and would make some beautiful tubes for sure. Wood gives me that natural feeling as well.

Its gotta be good if it comes from Mother Nature!

Ed, I'll let you know tomorrow. I was on a full week break from herb this past week due to family obligations, and I was planning to use it tonight with some friends....
I really like both your 3" and 4" grinders - since using it I find it superior to my 4 piece chromium crusher.

How are you enjoying vaporizing? One of these days you might want to look toward getting a good whip vape if you want massive hits. I recently bought a used VaporBox from someone here -
I had to send it back to the company for a free repair which was no big deal, they replaced the heater no questions asked, and it's fucking amazing. I know they don't look as good and you have to prop the back up but I love those simple box vapes.

Keif rolled in sour diesel????????? What the hell is that? I don't get out much round here and also being in the south especially Mississippi we are the last to find out anything and the last to get it after we find out about it.

Those tokes do hit hard if you really get into them!!! Hahahha thats the shit! I am glad you like it, I hope it helps to provide many good times to you and yours.

Just put the finishing touches on the Myrtle this morning, all I gotta do now is brand em and seal em and get some shots taken. They are very nice pieces, I got to thank Rick/MZ for those wonderful gifts!! He is the man.

Also just finished some beautiful Golden Amboyna Dugouts with hints on Red swirls and eyes mixed in, two tone Amboyna pieces are so hard to come by, I may or may not even make them available. I gotta get some pics of those for sure.

Hey, that really good you like my work, I ask that you will go by my feedback page and share your experience there with others so that they may know your story. That's what its all about.

I wish you all a happy and safe Easter!!!

Hey Ed,
Kief is the highly potent crystal resin aka trichomes that, if you have a four piece metal grinder, falls to the bottom and can be collected to use for making hash or sprinkling on your bud for a boost.
Since I've been using your two piece grinder I no longer save up the kief for later use, I simply use everything together. Sour D is a very potent exotic strain - probably my favorite.
I enjoyed using your bat last night, I have to say. Didn't take long to get the hang of it. Great hits, very comfortable, the wood is beautiful and the metal tip wipes clean very easy.
The only thing I have to say about the bat and others may want to chime in, is that the tip is brass and there is alot of concern about lead, especially if you're smoking. If you follow the threads here you know what I'm talking about.
If you ever go the route of making a bat with a stainless steel tip or anything else that is lead free it would be great.
Happy Easter man...

happy to oblige!

**edit***

just as a thought if you would consider using stainless steel if possible for the tips of the wooden tubes the PD folks would probably be happy to pay a little more for that - i think the tubes should be interchangeable with either vape, MZ or PD. I think....
regardless I'm psyched about the fact that you are into this...

Ed- your stuff makes me have a hankering to use a lighter again.. just as an excuse to get a nice dugout kit.

If you ever go the route of making wood stems with tips to fit the PD/MZ, count me in!
*I may have to get a dugout too, to replace the one the dog chewed on..*

Hello Indigal, there aint nothing wrong with a little fire in your life from time to time. I appreciate the kind words.

I am gonna spin out a couple wooden Cocobolo stems that will work for the PD/MZ within the next couple of weeks. Gonna have some serious testing done and if all goes well, then watch out!

So be on the lookout!

Hi Ed! These stems sound very interesting. My only question would be, how would you clean them? Would you clean them the same way you would clean a wooden pipe, ie pipe cleaners?

I have been thinking of that and am not sure yet exactly. I am gonna have to have them sent off to a couple of guys for intensive and rigorous testing. I feel that they are pros and would put them to the test for sure. I have selected one of my most dense woods that I use that I feel would hold up for sure to use, and would be the best suited for handling a cleaning, be it soaked or washed out. This whole idea is just a test, so they may not even work at all, but I feel pretty good about it.

So we will just have to wait and see. I hope to know something with a couple weeks to a month. Hang in there with me and hopefully all will go well.

Ironwood maybe?

I have never worked Ironwood, I have seen it around, just never got around to it yet. It is a thought and may be something that I look into. Thank you for the suggestion.

Hey Ed, this is going to be fun for all of us. Aside from the issue of cleaning the tubes, the other question is if one tube fits all - if the tubes are interchangeable with the MZ and the PD.
I'm sure someone here knows the answer to that.

It was posted somewhere that the two tips are fairly similar in size; the PD stem was slightly bigger making a tighter fit. I do not know if all the log tube stems are interchangeable, however. I agree that this sounds interesting. I've been having so much fun buying new "toys" with the change over to vaping. It's always nice to have options. ;)

the dimensional difference between the two units are very important - maybe there's a "sweet spot" radius wise that would be right if not perfect for both units.
probably a little looser is better than a little too tight - nothing is lost and the vapor is slightly cooled.

that said, and this is sacrlidge, but I've been enjoying smoking joints this past weekend. not my intent but my friend down the hall isn't into vaporizing, and I kinda missed the tactile pleasure of hand rolling a joint and I'm pretty good at it. so i've given in to please my neighbor, but i realize now that she's too much of a wus to deal with 'roaches' - afraid she's going to burn her lip, even with a needle nose pliers makeshift roach clip.

:spliff: We've all enjoyed it at one time or another. It would be hypocritical to condemn. I used to be good at rolling, but have found that lately my skills are lacking a bit. My joints all get runs in them. Oh well. Not a skill I'm likely to be using much any more. :)

That's exactly what I used to say - "I used to be good at rolling" - and I bought one of those hand rolling machines for $5 which turn out perfect uniform joints.
however I was spazzing out with the machine a few weeks ago, and i was being made fun of by my friends - so to save face I rolled a joint by hand and it turned out to be just fine even though I was pretty incapacitated at the time. I've since refined it so the process is more nuanced.
