ok so I've got a difficult decision, I want my first vaporizer I think I'm coming in right as the real stars are being released and I need some help now that I've narrowed it down to these two vaporizers. I have enough money for anything up to a crafty really but I've narrowed it down to these two vaporizers, because of efficiency, wide range of temperatures, and asthetics, both are much more sexy then anything else to me.

Grasshopper vaporizer:
pros: portable, long battery life, small as fuck, fast warm up, aesthetic beauty, temp control with very wide selection of temps ( I want to vape some lower heat stuff, is the e-nano very good at this? I have a strong feeling the grasshopper will be considering it's even got the lower temp options)
cons: not going to get till after summer at this rate, gets very hot, lot of unknowns, probably lower efficiency then e-nano by efficiency I mean both amount used and effects from that amount.

E-nano
Pros: efficiency (is probably better in this then the grasshopper but I'm unsure), sturdy as hell, very old concept tried and true, works very well with a water pipe (I want to do this with the grasshopper, will the clouds be similar?)
cons: not portable, slower heat up.

if anyone can chime in with further insight into this I want to order asap but I just want to check with some people who know their stuff, even though I have been lurking, I'm sure I don't know it all.

It really depends on how soon you want your vaporizer to arrive. If you order a
grasshopper this week you probably won't recieve it until the end of Aug or September possibly.

There is only a few FCers with the unit so far. The company is very early into production. There could be glitches with the vaporizer like faulty parts that become an issue that postpones units until fall. You never know what can happen with a brand new vaporizer. I'm really hoping that the GH is a winner and I'm keeping my eyes on it.

I'm not sure if you are new to vaporizing? I wouldn't suggest a brand new vaporizer for a first unit. I would suggest that you educate yourself with several vaporizers, then make your decision. The Enano is a beloved vaporizer for many including myself. I highly recommend it. It's a big decision buying a vaporizer, a large investment in the pocketbook as well as your health.

Think about your major bullet points for the vaporizer you are looking for. The nano and the Grasshopper are two very different vaporizers.

What about the Arizer Air or the Solo? Why don't you check both of those vaporizers out, they are both portables that can be used plugged in as well. You may decide to get the Nano and that would be a excellent choice.

Edit
It is a must to have more than one vaporizer. Get one vaporizer now and one later.

I've narrowed it down to these two vaporizers.
I don't know why you'd narrow your choices down to a portable design that's brand new, and a plug-in model. I think you're just going on hype, deserved or not. Both models get a lot of buzz here, but really, you should decide whether you want a home unit or a portable, or just decide which you want first. Personally, I'd forget about the Grasshopper until the vape and the company have established some reliability. The e-nano has reliability (along with a life time warranty) and is one of the most versatile vapes you'll find, therefore a much safer model to start with, assuming you do plan to own both a plug-in and a portable.

This right here.

For all intents and purposes, the GH doesn't really exist. Only a handful of production units have shipped. It's a V.1 portable....the shit hasn't come close to hitting the fan yet in terms of early design and build problems. (If shit doesn't hit some fans, this'll be the first v1 portable that escaped that fate.) This kind of first gen portable isn't a great entry-level vape.

But the Nano....inexpensive, powerful as hell, FC discount and lifetime warranty, easy learning curve, made in U.S., beautiful wood....great first vape. Go for it.

thoroughly vaped
For reasons above, and a few others, I'd strongly recommend the nano. Yes... I am quite the nano fanboy, but it is a tough vape to beat for the price. Very versatile for lower or high temp vaping (can also do concentrates or hash), easy to hook up to a water piece, nice looking, can easily use as an aromatherapy device, lifetime warranty, can customize with awesome looking wood. The only downside? You have to be able to plug in to use it.

Even if looking for a portable, the grasshopper may not be the best choice - certainly not yet. As others mention it is new, and still has a projected long wait time. You may also want to take a look at the original thread in the Thread Candidates section. Hopefully they will come through with orders on the current timetable, but there have been more than a few unfulfilled promises over the past couple years. This is on my short list of vapes I'd like to have, but I'm waiting until we see how things go - both possible kinks that need to be worked out AND to see if the shipping schedule is realistic and being met.

thanks everyone, I was leaning in the direction of the nano to begin with, glad to have the confirmation of my own personal thoughts. I really like the grasshopper but I think you all are right and it's just too unknown (looked into some posts on the reddit some people said if it's on for a while it gets some conduction, considering I'd be using it with a water pipe I'm sure heat will be more of a problem, so until there is more info on it I'll wait. anyway I think the nano is the perfect vape for me at this point I'll be ordering it soon, I'll make a post about my opinion on it when I get it maybe a video of it with a d020-d how do I get the fuck combustion coupon for the nano?

I don't think there's any conduction in the grasshopper considering Buzz's test. Don't forget to buy a gong adapter for your bubbler while ordering your nano.
