Thanks everyone for your faith and patience. I promise we wont keep you without a unit too long. With this new addition, depending on what the science glass people can supply, it may set us back 2-4 days from our projected shipping date and that sucks but it will be worth it to know nothing will come loose or become unnecessarily stuck lmao!

Personally, I really appreciate this. I would much rather wait for a little while and have you work out last-minute kinks than to prematurely send them out and then make the alterations. That's one reason I decided to "go with my gut" on this -- it's been clear from the beginning that you are working diligently to try to get it right the first time. Sometimes I think these vapes are rushed to the market before they are truly ready and then the early adopters end up fighting with all the problems.

Hey that sounds like the Ascent!
I really hope i don't get fucked like i did with the ascent. well i didn't get fucked but i did return the ascent.

Great Scott!
The Ascent was made in China. I saw that coming a mile away. No attention to detail, just a rush to have more bells and whistles.

The breakdown of exactly how this vape works was made public from day one. Very different situation here.

Wanted to get into the beta?
I just sent everyone with pending order requests messages. (If you already paid this doesnt apply to you.) If anyone sees a typo or a nonsensical error, thats my fault. I was overwhelmed by the backlog of orders and began to copy and paste. 3 orders in, I realized an error in my typing. That doesnt mean that you arent special, that just means that I should have answered the emails sooner.
Once you confirm with me what options you want, I will send you a final total on an invoice with a money request by email, which will route you to a payment processor.

Done!
Now that I am caught up, I have the email attached to my phone so any time something happens, it will notify me.
Your receipts are being made right now for everyone.

Frosted is over
At this point it seems no one wants frosted anymore...
I just think the enamel unit with future proof your purchase if you plan to go beyond ceramic one day. A dirty vape can be seen a mile away if its see through.

Lots of stuff to do, no one working.
I NEED IT TO BE MONDAY! Come on monday. I wish weekends were optional....
We hustle our asses off during the week and then right when you are about to hit a milestone of awesome.... its friday afternoon and everyone is going home. What a buzz kill. I guess its back to ordering office supplies and screens.

Vertical water pipe attachments?
BTW it seems like a vertical water tube is underway. I dont know its launch date. It may be just a test product for now to see if there is a demand. What do you think about that option? We appreciate your outlook. What you say will likely sway our priority list of this product. We can always make to order as well so its not a huge deal with order quantity.

Good news
This vape is undergoing every step to make it everything you guys have asked for.
Bad news
This vape is going to retail closer to $300 due to the changes. It'll still be worth it for the versatility. Higher order quantities will change the price as we continue. Its science grade glass that makes everything so expensive. China could hook us up for extremely low prices but everything cheap has its cost.
I doubt we will choose cheap over local. Our customers need fast response & good material, even if it costs more.
I just wanted some of you to know those details since we open source our entire process so far.

Happy dance.

If I was supposed to receive a message, I did not. Just let me know @Leiana . Thanks!

EDIT: I have already paid and chosen my options, so perhaps it doesn't apply to me.

Smooth sailing while I'm inhaling... VAPOR
If we did pay through paypal at the earlier phase of this beta (cannot believe I am saying this already ) then will we be receiving an invoice or should we just consider ourselves all set?

:myday: ALSO I love how immersed you are in FC and making the best vape you can. Your communication is excellent and reliable. I know this cause I have sent a dozen emails back and forth with cs1@versavapor.com and every response has been quick, very informational, and also very friendly. I am looking forward to experimenting with the modularity of this and seeing how this compares to all my other toys:science:

I liked the frosted look, it was very unique, I guess you're right though, will show up residue like no other colour...

Will you be swapping the frosted beta orders to enamel before sending out?

You can consider yourself set, however, I will STILL send you a receipt. We need a paper trail for every transaction. It makes us all feel better when you know exactly what you ordered and where we are going to send it, before its sent. What else should I do on a Sunday. All the manufacturers are closed, so the fun part is on pause.

About the Frosted changes
Yep - I love frosted too but... the choice has been unanimous, it should be dropped. We have too much equipment and wires in here and its only going to become more crowded as we add thermocouples and maybe even lights..... yea frosted got played out. Most bought color... black...... Second most bought.... pink. Just kidding

White is the most popular now taking all of the frosted and whites combined.

This is my new favorite thread on FC, watching the development of this unit is exciting. Maybe upon release a massdrop could be coordinated to get it back to the lower price, but I don't know how that service really works. Even staying south of $300 is a decent price point in this market.

Would you put the versa is a similar category as the VXL Cloud or more like the SSV, DaBuddha and ExtremeQ? What existing vapes will this give a run for their money?

I like the idea of frosted, but the dirty see through prob is definitely a bad tradeoff. Maybe you could line the interior of a frosted unit with something colored like white and it would still look good, maybe like crystal?

If you add LED lighting, please keep them subtle or a way to keep them off for those times that you're sitting in the dark watching a movie and don't want the light to be too distracting.

I have read the thread from the beginning but feel like I need a refresher course. Leiana, I know it would be labor, but could you do a thread that shows a pic or image of every piece of this vaporizer (except proprietary stuff of course) and how it all fits together and each scenario of use. I'm a little confused about the heaters, how many are there and what are each's pro/con? Actually, maybe that's a good assignment for the beta users...I can wait.

Imho, it would compare closest to the Cloud but with a couple more attachments (if you so choose) and user serviceability. Just my :2c: .

I like the idea. I don't know how hard it is to do with vapexhale's patent on hydratubes. I think pinacle had to work out a licensing deal. I kinda think its crazy to be able to own all vertical bongs, but I'm no lawyer. Just food for thought. I'm sure there has to be a way to make vertical water pipe attachments without paying an arm and a leg.

The other issue is price. I had a vapexhale hydratube at one time, but I sold it. I think the money they charge for such small pieces of unworked glass is insane. I sold that thing and got 2 fully fledged bubblers that work for many vapes, and are a lot more intricate.

Basically if you can do it and keep it affordable I think its a great idea. I don't care about having the brand name on it (I'd actually prefer that nothing I own ever says "swagger" on it) just about the quality. I'm sure there are plenty of glass blowers right here in the USA who would be thrilled to have steady work if it means pumping out QUALITY glass at a much more reasonable price than the "brands".

@Leiana,

If you need to rise the price to 300USD, it would be best to engineer a way to isolate the element and wires from the air path.

Otherwise, the versatility won't be as appealing considering an exposed ceramic element vaporizer like the Nano and 7th floor products, retail for 200USD.

I foresee some people opting for cheaper vaporizers since they either don't need such versatility or they don't find it is worth the 30% higher price.

If you keep it at 250USD and/or create an isolated air path, you will have a vaporizer that will compete with more expensive units at a fantastic price.
And considering the body and most parts are glass, you will give a whole new meaning to an all-glass vaporizer. ;)

Just something to consider.

I'm also not very fond of beeps and lights, i like my units simple and sober. I'd consider the red/green lighting to gauge if the element is at the desired temp, like the Cloud does, although i don't find this more than an added bonus not something mandatory.

Anyway, i'm loving the developments made so far and i think this is a great unit. Keep up with the videos, it's nice to see the vapour output and then the abv colour to evaluate the extraction.

One other thing: Is it possible to disclose the amounts loaded in the next videos or you guys don't use a scale? No problem if you don't, but again, it would be nice to have that info so we can better compare with the vaporizers we own already.

And yet another: have you given more thought to the ajustable bowl i mentioned a few posts back? It would bring even more versatility to the unit. With the same glass adapter, you can change bowl with a single acessory. ;)

I'll be measuring my bowl AFTER vaping a load a few times. I find measuring the ABV is a more consistent method than measuring pre-load for some reason. Once I figure out how much I personally like in this unit, I can compare that to an underdog, a volcano, or a bunch of portables. No other home vapes at the moment.

I also agree with an isolated air path. It would also be easier to attach a thermocouple to the heater. Blade stlye thermocouples are very low profile and rather inexpensive. No wires or electronics in the air path would be amazing.

I noticed the male joint where the vape needs to fit any female joint in a dewaar joint is down recessed the top of the vape.
Does it makes any sense??
We are seeing the vape only hitting stemless 90 angled pieces….
Did you ever tried it on a top female mounted joint, like an Ion or Clear Matrix Mobius??
You will need to add an adapter or provide one IMO.
I'm sure you've seen the Cloud and EVO design :dog:
This is no deal breaker for me, I'll like either way you to fix that since I'm sure is going to be awkward to keep adding more glass .
I know you love modularity, but being able to hit it native as soon as it comes out from the box
its a big deal for many.
NOT to mention, glass plus glass plus glassssss plus:bigleaf: plus this kind of friends :mmmm: will make it very personal and only me myself and I vaporizer. I wouldn't like this baby to shatter in pieces

Stay vaped my friends...

The bowl where the herbs are contained is the adapter between the vape and your dewar joint. Here is the concentrate bowl/adapter in this post, they are the top two pics. The herb bowl is somewhat similar and is shown in the video on the first page.

I would definitely be interested in a tube attachment. I cannot imagine Pinnacle has any kind of rights on a water tool itself, perhaps just the name or the specific design. This site sells what they call a "mouthpiece extension" that is basically the same concept for $99. I don't have personal experience with this piece (yet), but I have heard good things about it and about this group of glassblowers in general.

IMO if you make a longer glass heater cover, you'll be able to avoid using extra adapters, a la Cloud/EVO . Just add enough clearance to fit an ELB or an EQ dome screen . Makes sense??
That way you can hit natively out of the box Dewaars and HT pieces.
But makes sense if you want to make more $$$$ selling "proprietary" Versa adapters :dog:
BTW Is it a VERSA car model elsewhere??? Isn't it?? BE careful with patent BS names, patents sucks :(

As far as I can see, flowers and concentrates bowls are the same, why I payed already extra for same bowls??

Worried about Patent infringement? Let me break it down for you
Patents are a hairy business especially for vaporizers. Let me assure you research has been done by the appropriate parties and this has been the conclusion, Versa's design for a vertical water pipe does not infringe the VXC patent. For the sake of creating a relationship with VXL we might work out a licencing deal but here is the facts:
The VXC/HT patent designates the use of an electronic heater connected directly to a HT which is the designated device for inhalation. Our vaporizer requires an external bowl, which makes it a heating element for adapter bowls. This difference makes our vaporizer its own entity, unrelated to the accessories attached to the bowl. The water tube requires a bowl to attach to the Infinity. Pinnacle Vaporizer HT connects the tube to the vaporizer directly, if they required a licence that's the reason. According to patent laws, this difference of direct adaptation and indirect adaptation puts Versa's accessory of a water pipe into a new category, which is an accessory to an accessory, rather than an accessory to the vaporizer.

Glassblowersdirect.com already sells these types of pieces without fear and rightfully can.

If it was a matter of design, the design for the tube is already more than 35% different.
The Infinity is a vaporizer to be used with water pipes via an adapter. We are working on patenting that but only to keep it open-source. Which protects future inventors from fear of wrathful litigation & may give inventors the ability to work collaboratively.

If you have any further questions, please contact CS1@versavapor.com. We will try our best to answer any questions you may have.

We own the DBA, Versa; Versa Heating Technology. It was available as a DBA so we took it. Trademarks have industry rules like, Nissan Versa is different from Versa; Versa Heating Technology. The logos are also different so no infringing has taken place.
Versa Computer Technology is different as well and uses different logos, once again there is no infringing. In california we own Versa & Versa heating technology as the business name.

I hope all this typing helps someone understand Versa & the Infinity a little better!

Good to hear. Wasn't sure if you knew their legal stuff or not. Sounds like you've got it covered. I prefer traditional water pipes etc, but if the price was right I'd definitely add a vertical one to my arsenal eventually. I really liked using my old hydratube, but I figured I'd enjoy using 2 bubblers more for the same price. I was right.

I'd love to see some more "knockoff" pieces to be honest, as long as they are done well. I have a "bent glass" brand mobius matrix clone, and I love the thing. I had money to spare to buy a 2nd if I wanted, still less than the mobius!

I'd also feel all warm inside knowing it was supporting a lesser known glass artist, as long as they have high quality and reasonable prices!

I've never seen a honeycomb vertical water pipe. I'd actually love a fritted disc water pipe tube since it would pair well with the lesser volume of water used. The flavor would be insane!

To be fair, I couldn't use my Cloud + 'out of the box' because it was too fat to work with all but one of my pieces. I had to use adapters(not supplied) to get it to work. My :2c:
