I got my replacement vaporite unit day. Its black which looks pretty cool. Hope its food grade paint

I will post a pic once the kids have gone to bed and give a small report.

I know its a low end box vap but I haven't seen a review out there for one so why not be the first

Hey v_c... Is that the Vaporite Hyper you're talking about?
That's the unit I was going to buy before I got my Extreme. Was it from Hangman? I would have one right now but he ran out the day I went to place my order, so I researched other models.
It'll be good to hear what they vape like.

Yeah its the same vape. I didn't get it from the hangman. Bought it local NZ from the Hempstore It actually is my second unit. The first emitted a fucken nasty smell. Some wire or something that shouldn't have been was getting very hot. The new unit is sexy (for a box vape) black with a digi readout. 240 seems to be the sweet spot so far.

It heats up pretty fast approx 3-4 minutes and its ready to go. So far it gets the thumbs up from me. Its certainly no extreme or SSV or purple-days ... but it will do nicely for now.

Thanks Max. The top of the box just above the heater gets warm but nothing else. Getting some massive hits so durability is the big thing now.

Unless the unit is emitting some sort of toxins, no, I think not.

Some vape models can produce a thicker vapor with less air in the mix, or vape at higher temperatures. Maybe the person you heard that from had experience with some shitty vaporizer that didn't work well and then used the vaporite which did work.

You're right... I thought it may have been an oxygen ratio thing...

Yeah vtac is right. No difference in high from my vapor daddy box vape. But the hits are very thick and smooth and I seem to be able to get more vapor for less huffing than with the VD.

Looks like a vapzilla copy. Nice! Chris from the hempstore doesn't import this model only the VR-001 box vap like mine.

Whats interesting is the first unit I got was a blonde 'natural' wood colour which has some slight differences than the black unit. The black units power chord unplugs from the back of the vap (making it easier to store) while the other unit had a fixed chord. And the whip bowl that came with the black unit has a slightly different design ... longer bowl and thicker glass on the part that slips over the heating element and the heating element seems to be on less of an angle. Dont know if its an older design or what but I perfer it to the blonde one ... I'm a brunette kinda guy anyway

Works quiet today so here's the official review of the Vaporite VR-001 box vape.

As picture above shows mine is the black one with the detachable powerchord. This is my second unit as the first one emitted a foul unhealthy smell. Replaced by supplier under warranty no problem.

The vaporiser has a digital readout and the instructions indicate the best temp to be around 370F. The unit took about 5 minutes to get up to this temp. It has a red light that goes out once the temp on the digi readout is reached.

First hit resulted in burnt product. So I turned down... and down ... and down until I found 220 to be around the best temp. It takes 2 initial draws to start getting lung-full hits. The third is about as good as it gets. Sweet taste and thick heavy vapor without any combustion. From here you have to be careful, stir the bowl after each hit and only take short hits to avoid the burn. I even turned it down to 215 with similair results.

The spent product is easily removed from the whip. The whip itself is defintly a budget version. Nice big bowl but only one bubble of glass past the bowl before the end where the plastic whip attaches.

Pros: * Great value for money. Cost me $195 Kiwi which is the cheapest vape on the market here. Have seen them as low as $70 US on ebay.
* Quick warm up. 4 minutes approx before the heater light goes off indicating its up to temp.
* Digital readout means you can find your best vapping temp and get back there each time.

Cons: * Made in China which equals poor build control. This was illustrated by the first unit I got being faulty.
* Inconsistant heating. Once its up to temp and the light goes off and I take my first hit. This usually results in the light coming back on indicating the heating element is re-heating. This produces inconsistant temps IMO and can result in a burn even at lowish temps.
* Unknown reliability. It has a 12 month warranty that should be honoured by the supplier but I cannot see this being a vap that has the durability of a SSV, DB, PD or Volcano



I'd rate this vapoiser a 7 out of 10 simply because it does do what its suppose to do, has a digital readout (which I know can be a problem in itself) and is the cheapest vap on the local market. The hits are smooth and big but can be prone to burn.

Seeing its now July I am only a couple of months away from hitting the music trail and lining up my summer gigs. This means a lot more disposable $$$ and will pave the way for me to order a fine quality US made vape.

Is is possible the readout on your unit in Celcius? 370F is around 188C... and if you're still prone to combustion at 215 that would seem about right.

Maybe try turning it down to ~190 (whatever unit it is) and take slower draws to allow the air more time to heat?

It has a F symbol on the readout and their guff indicated it was in Fahrenheit not Celcius. Even on 220 I got a small burn this morning. 211 worked well last night but it took 3 draws to get it going. I just have to adjust to the idiosyncrasies of the new unit and I haven't had an extended time to try lots of different temps. I'm away for the an overnighter tomorrow too ... heading North on a surfing trip (without the family wahoooo) so I'll be hitting the VG so temp experiements will have to wait.

Between the Extreme and the cheap digital boxes, 'true vaping temp' is becoming, well, a fucking mess. I've seen people comparing temps from various digital boxes and getting a wide range of numbers. One guy even had a Vaporfection and said his best results were at 220-240 F. You'd think a $500 digital would give a fairly accurate reading.

My first two Vapors were the Digi-Vapor boxes like the one pictured earlier. Both units malfunctioned within weeks of the first purchase and subsequent replacement. Anyone had similar experiences with these units or was i just ridiculously unlucky?

I can confirm 210 to be about perfect. Also using the whip from the defunct vapor daddy which has more glass but has to be used almost like a non-handfree unit. Makes me freel like I'm hitting a SSV :ssv:

Sounds like a good deal for down under buyers. Your announcement would probably be better placed in the Extreme thread though. It's a fine and tricky line when sellers are allowed to post on a forum. So far, so good here I think. But I'd think that sellers will be held to a tighter standard than the average vape fan.

From what I've heard from other 'Digi-Vapor victims', your experience is typical. Many Digi boxes have been DOA. Of the made in China vapes, these are the worst of the bunch. You don't even see the Digi name being used anymore, since the only reputation it has is bad. But I believe these crappy boxes are still being sold with the 'VP' model prefixes-VP-100, 200, 600, etc. under the name 'Noble Vapor'. Like the other Chinese cheapies, no manufacturer website for Noble and no warranty. My motto (and I wish it was everyone's)-no site, no contact info, no warranty=made in China= no sale. And what bothers me the most is that there's no concern by these companies as far as safe materials and construction.

Well the digital temp control on this thing is a fucking joke! If its heating up (light on) it goes way past the indicated temp. I had it set to only 130F and it was heating up and burnt the herb What I'm doing is heating it to an indicated 200F ... hitting it until I get a nice fat hit (usually 3rd hit) and then turning it down until the heating light goes off and hitting it again. This way it wont burn and I get another fat hit. But what a fucken lot of bullshit really. Its usable to a true vap head such as myself as I'm prepared to muck around to get a nice smooth hit and the wife seems quite happy with it. :/

I figure there is only one thing to do really ... and thats get me a Purple-Days.

I am just a truly passionate vapor fan that has found a product that i believe in so much that i am willing to put my reputation on the line to champion the products supply channels all the way to Australia. A market that I am very familiar with. I may be a supplier but foremostly i engage in this forum to learn and share my knowledge with like minded people. I just think that i provide an extra advantage for Australian people to be confident that they will be well served by buying The Extreme from a local option (website to come) but with the same manufacturer backed warranties.
