Vaporfi Orbit usage

Anyone own this dry herb Vape? I just bought it and have always smoked my herb by combusting it but wanted to try this out for my lungs lol I don't know how long a chamber full should last since it doesn't turn to ash like before. When should I dump it? And I see people save the "used" herb to make edibles? Wow!, this is a whole new world. I got off the cancer sticks and switched to vaping over a year ago and now I'm interested in going from combusting my herb to vaping it. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I don't have this vape. I stick with externally heated vapes, the best of which IMHO is the Dynavap line of vaporizer called Vapcaps. They are fantastic vaporizers with a simple and beautiful design, efficient and very smooth. Nothing to malfunction, no plastic or questionable materials, no batteries, plugs, electronics to keep track of, replace, charge and carry. If you want a vaporizer that offers cool non irritating vapor, try out the Vapcap. Vapcaps come highly recommended. Everyone should have one. The models range from $35 - $160.

The Vaporfi Orbit looks like a plastic Chinese knockoff to me. If there is not a thread for it here on FC, I will bet that it may just be a lemon. But, I don't really know anything about it, so don't take my opinion on it too seriously.

Vaporizing is really just cooking or heating your bud so that it will release the cannabinoids, but stops short of burning or combustion. I like to vaporize my bud until it is an even light toasty brown color. Some people like to heat it to higher temps for more of a deeper coffee color. If you heat your bud until it is black you are bordering on combustion. You will learn the difference very quickly between vaping, which should be flavorful and smooth and combustion, which tastes like an ashtray. If this happens you will want to clean your vaporizer before vaping again, because it will taste gross.

And I see people save the "used" herb to make edibles? Wow!, this is a whole new world.

Yes, there are several threads here on FC that discuss the various methods for using ABV (already been vaped) bud. You can make canna butter, bake it into all kinds of stuff or make healing creams, lotions and tinctures. Because the herb has been heated through vaporizing it, it does not to be baked prior to using. It is already to go.

Here are some threads on the topic that may interest you.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your decision to Fuck Combustion!!!! There are many wonderful kind and helpful folks here that will happily discuss and answer questions.

EDIT:
I just did a search for the Vaporfi Orbit. There doesn't seem to be a thread here discussing it but I found that a member here with the handle of @OldCreepy that mentions his Vaporfi a few times. Maybe he will come over and offer you some advice.
