Yeah vito I meant wf. Can I use the green silicon little guy as a carb cap, is there any way to stop the excess vapor/waste after a hit?

Smaller dabs, lol. I like to do many little flavor bomb dabs instead of large lung buster ones personally. I have used the green straw for connecting to silicon whips on high and it never showed any sign of damage and I have used the cap to seal off the opening when shutting her down and it has not shown any sign of problem.

My VB2 is on the UPS truck being delivered today after some TLC from VB...I can't wait!

Edit: I notice more reclaim build up when not fully clearing the vapor.

The world is your oyster.
The silicone carb cap is just perfect... but will capture that vapor in the form of goo on the walls.
Every blessing carries a curse and visa versa.
You can soak and reclaim the goo!
I put the ceramic cover on, with the silicone cap and the cone, between hits, which sometimes involves some leftover vapor!

Sorry dude no mopar fans. :(

Shouldn't you be buying car parts? Haha. Alright alright I'm done. If u have access to really good extracts all the time it's a great unit :)

Wellness over intoxication
Hi there everyone,

I hope you all are experiencing Maximum wellness without losing those tasty & potently beneficial terpenes. What is everyone doing this weekend? I hope it's enjoying the bounty of the season. Here in New England the the autumn colors have transferred from summer flowers to leaves of orange and red. It's a time when many of us really get busy. There is produce to can, gardens to take down and prep for next season. For some it's time to chop and stack the wood. Others it's time to feast on the thousands of tourists who grace little hamlets trading dollars for a glance of days gone by. Truly a season to enjoy the simple things while having tons of work to complete.

It's easy to forget times of draught or when things weren't as flavorful as they are now. To be complacent of life's little treasures is a borderline crime around these parts.
Which brings me to my point of posting in this thread. I find that with today's concentrated medication there are many subtle flavors that in my opinion enhance the meditation experience. Many people of a variety of age groups and demographics have a sincere desire for this experience as illness doesn't discriminate. I am always fascinated to read material on seniors and when I am actually asked in person by a senior what is the easiest and best way to vaporize these concentrates. If you had asked me a year ago if I thought 68-year-old women would be dabbing BHO here in New England I would've thought you were nuts. But today there's really nothing insane about it.

So when I am asked what is the easiest way to vaporize a variety of different types of concentrates I have to say I reply Vapor Brothers VB2. Many of you know my wife's condition she's able to utilize it quite well. Then the question of cost. It's not for everybody's wallet but lest consider a few things.

Cost of a small rig 100 $150.
Hive ceramic Nail $70
Hive carb cap $55
Torch $30
So it's easy to see getting started with high temperature ceramic dabbing can easily cost you $250-$300. Cost of the VB to currently $750.

In my opinion it outperforms a torch and nail for the following reasons.

It does not require the use of an open flame butane torch

It does not require you to reheat the torch with that open flame for every dab. Constantly staying at your desired temperature for up to 20 minutes. Never burn your terps out again.

There is no juggling act you simply drop concentrate in hole in inhale

It's an all in one unit that looks as conspicuous as a coffee grinder.

The one area that torch and nails have an advantage is for travel. If you have the VB2 plugged in for long sessions 40 minutes or longer the all ceramic body takes a while to cool down.

Like New England in autumn VB2 might not be for everyone. However I believe it has something that we all can appreciate. As the seasons change I know that I'll be looking forward to the flavors of my ceramic dabber. Celebrating change and embracing the future.

CeramFam wishes and terpene dreams my friends.

The Captain

I know you mean that, thanks for the support . . . :)
The experience the VB2 has provided me is difficult to achieve with a nail.
The dabbing with impunity, the contained fumes/spatter (if any), and the type of cleanup are a freedom that is golden.
I too have suffered the loss of use of my VB2.
I was in love with this ease of use and this device a while before it was presented to the public.
I actually became dependent on it!
During the development and testing, I had to send back my beta unit a couple of times.
It was like sending in my teeth.... or glasses!
That is why I feel so empathetic when you have issue.
I know the experience!
You sent in your teeth and glasses.
The one area that torch and nails have an advantage is for travel.
True, Captain...true.
I think the Dabbler has an advantage even above the torch and nail when not at home.

No love for the torch and nail? Lol. One thing I love about a glass dome rig with a 9mm or 13mm nail is I am less then a minute away from getting everything out and hitting a dab and 5 dabs in less then 5minutes. Sometimes I just need what I need when I need it.

Now I have the VB2 back with the timer tweaked and this is working out very nicely indeed. Now when I walk into the kitchen its green light and not red light, this will even out those times of extreme need. What I like so much better with the vb2 compared to a nail rig, or any other device I have used, is the consistency of dab experience hit after hit.

The new glass dome with the 10mm ground glass connection and glass straw is a very nice low profile addition. I find I toggle between med and high settings for these straight draw dabs.

How should I clean the unit. Some seepage has already gotten on the HE..
I found a tricky fast way to clean up the walls....
I too go around with a razor blade once.... but I found a small piece of 0000 steel wool (4 zero)dipped in Iso makes fast work of any mess I can manage to accumulate.
I follow that with a wipe of a tissue, and it looks like new!

and then t-dub was precise in his description:
I'm developing a quick little cleaning regimen for my VB2:
  • Let unit cool until you can remove and dissemble everything with your bare hands.
  • Carefully set aside the ceramic insert.
  • Place a small piece of paper towel in the bottom of base unit to protect heater and wipe under-edge of sides.
  • Soak all pieces except base unit in ISO, rinse in warm water when clean, then dry.
  • Take 0000 steel wool, slightly moisten with ISO, and while holding your VB2 base unit inverted at a 45* angle, use the ISO moistened steel wool to clean the interior walls.
  • Wipe interior walls and under-edges clean with paper towel.
  • Remove paper towel heater protector and turn unit onto high with no silicone sleeve or dome in place to burn off any remains.
  • Let unit cool to reassemble.
Works great and takes hardly any time at all . . .
If I left anyone out ... my bad!

Thanks, needed some cleaning technique! Mine went back brown and came back white, I am brown again in just 2.5 days.

I really love the 10mm female top, with direct draw tube.
Cleanup is so great!
I slip that tube into a tall plastic test tube of Iso, and it is spotless in lo time!

I'll be putting a black band around my VB2 as a show of support to my fellow CeramFam brothers and sisters who can no longer Vape their concentrates with ease. Stay strong stay vigilant! Keep us informed.

Guys, I do NOT like cleaning this. I feel like a watch maker trying to keep the iso off the HE. Those little smudges = no bueno.. How frequently should I clean the unit? Would u recommend cleaning the pad with iso instead of blasting it on high? Idk, I like it so much; don't leave me.. LOL

I use a small piece of paper towel to protect the heating element then invert the base unit at a 45* angle, and using ISO moistened 0000 steel wool, carefully clean the sides.
