Vaporbrothers Dabbler & Eleven Pen

Wow these posts are coming quickly... do I need to stay at work this late? ;)
Nevermind, actually,

Definitely not a throwaway. Vaporwarehouse is just trying to be careful.
If it was a throwaway, I wouldn't put the Vaporbrothers name on it. And I wouldn't be in this business.

If it says Vaporbrothers, heart and soul and toil with some spilled solventless goes into making it. We're now entering our 15th year of making and promoting better vaporizers. Thanks @Volteric for your questions though... I'm here to answer the toughest you can send.

Yea it's a little disheartening. They end up feeling like a Dollar Shave Club subscription based model. (Hey @vaporbrothers You might consider a subscription based model for atomizers! I want in on the business! :-) But it seems that the price for a "rig and nail" on the go. There's a premium to to that kind of on-the-go rapid delivery medicine system.

I will totally look into that.

EDIT: I saw on vapor warehouse that its 510 threaded

I have the dr dabber, the cloud v, and the omicron with kiss cart gr2. I honestly believe the order in taste is 1) kiss carts (medium clouds) 2) dr dabber. Weird after taste but smooth huge clouds 3) cloud v. Huge clouds

Are you saying I should try the dabbler atomizer and it will taste the best?

You are asking another person to state which item between choices would "taste" best to you.
Answering this question on behalf of another persons "tastes" is impossible difficult at best.

I respect that, but don't want to purchase if I get that metallic taste. I get it on every atomizer other than the kiss. I am not saying kiss is the best for all uses. I like the dr dabber when I have a big ball of shatter. Heats it quickly and smooth vapor. Kiss takes a long time to heat but never burns the oil. guess is that these other attys give better instant clouds because they heat faster and the coils get bright red. Is this the reason you get different taste? Burning the oil? Need advice and would appreciate feedback.

Not sure what is perculiar in asking another THEIR experience with taste. You're right: ultimately it's subjective but not an impossible or even slightly unanswerable inquiry.

For example Id like to know if anyone has noticed a difference in taste between an atomizer with glass fibers and those without? Do wickless atomizers taste better to those that have tried glass fiber wicks? If that question is impossible to weigh in on I see no point in a forum dedicated to people sharing their experiences. After all everything shared here is subjective.

That's not how you phrased the question though. Also, not everything shared here is subjective, not even close.

Oh boy, Im guessing you get the point that not everything is objective either. That's what I was addressing. I didn't phrase a question. The previous poster did. I was addressing vaporist...oh never mind. Doesn't matter. Not worth nitpicking. I'll move on.

@Volteric - your questions about materials and taste might better serve the community if asked and answered in a dedicated thread instead of burying the answers in this thread. They seem more generic and less 11-specific.

Oh okay so let me be hyperrelevant risking another correction: IN YOUR OPINION DEAR READER does the Eleven taste better than the Dr Dabber? One appears to be wickless and other has glass fibers. Thanks.

Well now you're just being a pain in the ass and going back to your original question in this thread. I really think your question is materials specific and could help many with your same question when it pertains to these models and the many that will follow. Like when members wanted to compare brass and stainless steel in the log vapes. Instead of burying that info in a model thread we had a separate thread for it since it applies to all vapes of similar construction.

Dude whatever. I've never been an intentional pain in the ass. I'm asking a fairly straightforward question. If nobody answers that's fine. Was there some obscure reason or forum rule that makes my question unacceptable?

fibers and those without? Do wickless atomizers taste better to those that have tried glass fiber wicks?
Loaded question, that may belong elsewhere than here.
(A general thread rather than a "brand name thread")
All atomizers should taste JUST like the wax or concentrate being used.
It takes user judgement, discretion, a light trigger finger, and practice to get this result from ANY material used.
I happen to like the glass wick more than ceramic... but it takes more effort (described partially here) to keep the flavor as I described.
I use ceramic (white and black) with titanium and with nichrome and other metals.
I adjust my use with each until I taste just the substance I am trying to ingest.

I think the pen's taste alone can be isolated by running it under your nose right out of the package- before you've put any oils on. I'd burn it a bit before sniffing so you don't accidentally catch the smell of burned dust or something temporary. The best I can do is a faint hot metal smell with no curious other smells. The reality of this technology is to use metal wire. The materials chosen... important. We try to get that new pen smell to be as clean as possible.

This is IMO but I think the taste of the hit varies a lot even on the same pen day to day. True with @Vitolo I think the oil and its contaminates play the biggest part in a proper hit. Contaminants in your oil (including "top shelf") definitely flavor the hit- they could be anything from grow formulas to dirt and kitty hair.

Regardless of purity, when oils stick somewhere and get brown, like when they run to the bottom and sit there for days browning, the hit turns nasty.

This is just a theory, but I go for spreading out the heat as much as possible to avoid a smaller hotter spot which burns the oils and contaminates more. I thought that worked well for us on VB1's (the vapor box) ceramic heater- It's designed not to burn the dust in the air, making the vaporizer's own taste seem cleaner.

VB11 tries to address a few of those things above in that it has a larger diameter core, roughly doubling the surface area from our previous ceramic cores. The heater is set a bit lower to avoid the puddle in the bottom.

For glass vs ceramic core- we've have both ways and always told people about the tradeoff. Glass wicks draw the oil into the heater extremely well. But the oil gets stuck in the many crevices and you need to soak the heater to get the clean taste back. Ceramic cores don't wick as well but people tell us they swear by the taste. My personal preference started with glass and is moving toward ceramic cores.

I agree 100%, but I think the next winner in the pen department would be the company who creates atomizer with a ceramic core that ABSORBS a lot of concentrates and slowly heats (so nothing gets burnt)

That was a very detailed explanation ,
and because you have extensive knowledge in this area .
What's your opinion/thoughts on these ceramic ' donut ' attys ?
They have No coils or Wicks .
My only concerns are that you will have to keep it vertical
when using to avoid spillages .

Do attys like this fit the dabbler and eleven?

It looks like a source orb Terra atty. If it is, it would fit any ego battery.

I'm guessing it would fit a Dr Dabber battery which I believe is 510 threading? Any idea if you can use the Vapor Bros Mini Viper on a Dr Dabber battery and if the mini viper has a wickless ceramic core or has a wick?

Have you tried this? Curious if you think it produces a better flavor than the wicked and wickless ceramic cores with titanium coil?

No I haven't ... yet , but hopefully soon .
It is a pic of the orb terra tho .

I think their desk top VB2 has a ceramic disk to heat up concentrates .
So I wanted their input and thoughts , that's all .

Our ceramic core and glass wick heaters

Holy hell, I received the 3 in 1 heater with wickless ceramic core with carb hole and it's EXACTLY what I was hoping for. To compare a throw away China cheapo vape pen to this is to seriously make a categorical error. It's like comparing the head of a match with the Sun itself!

Here's why I think the Eleven goes one step further than even the Dr Dabber: the airflow is way less constricted providing a cooler, lighter and dare I say more flavorful hit!

I've orderd the mini viper glass mouthpiece with wickless ceramic core from Vapor Warehouse who fielded my phone call and graciously answered all my questions.
