Got an email from Vapolution, looks like they are releasing a new glass accessory on 4/20. They are calling it the straight shooter, a straight AIWB with no carb. Looks similar to their vapor barrel with glass notches added and the dimple to hold the herb in place. $25 minus a 20% discount on 4/20.

Almost there...
Just received my Vapolution 2.0!!!!

So far my experiences are:
1- very light, looks heavier than it is!
2- very easy to use!!! Almost comes preset!!
3- Weed miser!! Uses a lot less herb which is awesome!
4- No more grinding!!!!
5- +-5 min heat up time and then you can leave it on all day!

Me Likey!!!
And it is a great day to burn the vape in on!!
Happy 420 everyone!!!

Just an update!

The Vapolution performed flawlessly yesterday!!
I plugged her in and switched her on at around 8 in the morning.
She stayed on all day until 10:30pm.

A friend who only smokes joints came over for a 420 smoke last night.
He is a heavy smoker and can usually smoke a lot before he feels anything.
I weighed out 1 gram of various strains and we sampled all of them.
After we burnt through a gram he was fried!!!

He commented on the amazing taste and flavours of the herb!!
Glass on glass is awesome!!!

Hey lazylathe,
My instructions on how long the vape can stay on
said 8hrs continuous without overheating.
I do not leave it on all day.
Some vapes like the purple days could be on
24/7. Ours might fit into that category, but I
wouldn't want to chance it.

lazylathe

Almost there...
I seemed to have overlooked that part...
Corrected for the future!!

But just to say it performed perfectly the whole of yesterday!
It went to 420 trials and came out like a champ!

I suppose I should give my update. When I first got the vapolution I'll admit I was slightly underwhelmed. I had been using the whip and preheating for 5 minutes. The results were a bit of a mixed bag. However, I'm very happy to report that this thing has become my baby. I found that by heating it up for around 15-20 minutes before use helps quite a bit, and leaving the packed bowl in the vape to heat up for around a minute or so before hitting makes all the difference! I picked that tip up from Stu and ran with it. So thank you. I also received my all-in-wonderbowl. The taste is incredible. Great product. Don't let your inexperience with the unit turn you off. This thing can hit once you know what you're doing.

I agree totally!!!
To put it in perspective:
My wife does not smoke, vape or anything...
Joints burnt her throat and hurt her lungs.
My Vapir NO2 did not work for her either.
I convinced her to give the Vapolution 2.0 a try. I said that she will be bale to taste the flavor and it will not cause her any discomfort.
So i proceeded to load the tube with some 1 month cured Sannie's Jack, an awesome strain in both strength and flavor.
After two loads she said she was feeling something so i said enough and we went to relax and watch tv.
She was really high!!! Pretty much for the first time in her life!
The thing i like about Jack is that it is very consistent and you feel the same stone for hours.

She is now a convert to the FLAVOR!!!

I just used this for the first time tonight and love it! The aiw bowl is great. Easily the best tasting vapor I can remember.

The wall wart cord is really long, which is great. and the unit doesn't get hot on the outside.

I lived off the PD for years and have longed for a vape like this. Works like a log vape in terms of efficiency and design, but has variable temp control, an all glass air path and doesn't require a grinder. Just don't leave the bowl in the heated vape for even a couple of minutes unattended...that first hit back will knock you out and send you coughing.

At $100 with the aiw, everyone who considers themselves a vaporist should have one.

Vapes on vapes on vapes!
Just read through this entire thread and pretty sure I will be purchasing one of these on Saturday. The only vape I have at the moment is The Plenty, which I love, but is definitely a hog when it comes to the amount of bud you end up using. Will hopefully have an update saying I pulled the trigger on Saturday!

Amen brother.

I'm still surprised that more people don't give the Vapo a shot. It's one of the best bargains I've seen for the true vapor fanatics out there.

Stu, how is it on conservation?

Better than I am. You can't really pack a big load in the bowl, so it encourages conservation. It's up to the user to make the final decision on how much to consume. Stop after one small bowl, or hit it all night.... Conservation can be a tricky thing IME.

I used it all night last night and put it away thinking it is gonna get a lot of use. Part of me misses the always on and ready function of log vapes. And last night confirmed what I thought...this thing is a badass log vape.

What I didn't like about it:
1 -- It's more awkward to hold in your hand than a log vape...one handed operation is doable, but after a while my hand got a little sore holding it in a funky way.
2 -- The glass stem spins a little too freely and makes a clinking sound sometimes...no big deal, just a little annoying.
3 -- I'm gonna have to train myself to remove the stem during small breaks.
4 -- I think this is just me, but I am having a little bit of a hard time getting over the thought of surface trichs getting rubbed off my bud when I am rolling it into the pellet shape. With a grinder I can reclaim it.

The air flow is entirely dependent on your pellet. I found myself liking the smaller, free flowing pellets for both hit comfort and effect. I suggest taking a test draw before putting it into the heat exchanger to see if it is packed how you like it...it's easy to blow it out and get it right if you do it before you put the stem in and get it all hot.

I'll say it again, but the taste was better than expected. My entire mouth had a rich, herb taste to it when I was done.

For $160 someone could get this and a VG and be set in any situation for a long time with killer vapor. That's how I would start my vapor journey if I were doing it all over again.

Who's got the best solution for hooking this up to a bubbler with just glass? I don't want to introduce the tubing into the air path.

This thing is kicking my ass tonight!

I think I'm getting it down, because I'm getting big clouds tonight off a little pellet.

wtf...I haven't used my Cloud in two days.

You're killin' me stickstones haha :p. Definitely Gonna purchase this on Saturday (just waiting for monetary reasons). I'm gonna have to reread some of the drawing and temp methods before it gets here, but I'm excited for a challenge. The only vape I own is the foolproof Plenty, but I'm excited to get a very different vape in the vapolution.

Compared to the plenty, this thing is the miniscule (in terms of amount of herb used). I just finished a nightcap session for about 75 minutes on two pellets and am baked. I haven't enjoyed this obvious efficiency since the PD. It just keeps hitting. The Cloud can be used efficiently, I just seem to always give in. This vape forces you to take your time and you end up using less. It is not the vape I want to use when I want to get there right now. But it is always going to be leading the conversation for a session vape.

That's the thing I'm looking forward o the most! Not having to drop .5g+ every time I want a good session. I can't wait.

I'm taking you're happy with your impulse buy :). I found the exact same thing... it just seem to keep going and going. I didn't thing the pellet loading system was going to work, but it does; beautifully. It took me about three nights before I felt like I'd mastered it.

I'm finding a sweet spot routine that works with the rising temp of the aiw bowl as it sits in the heat exchanger. I can leave it in the unit for the first three or four hits, then it needs to come out between hits for a few, then back in again. When I take it out at first, the stem acts like a ubie, letting me get vape hits off it from the glass heat retention.

...and yes, I'm happy with it!

no shit, mmenzie should get one. he was just talking about how the herbalizer will be too expensive for him. Go for my $160 combo, mmenzie!

Vapes on vapes on vapes!
I was wondering how people who have experience with both the Vapolution 2.0 and the Solo have to say about how they compare for efficiency and taste. I'm not too worried about portability and I realize that the Solo has an easier learning curve. Apart from the portability/learning curve any comments on how these two units compare would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Part of it is that this vape is not fancy whatsoever and the function about as close to perfect as you can get.

After 9 months of daily use, I still love this vape!
My only problem is that I get so ripped that I sometimes
forget to remove the herb chamber from the heating port
until I smell the herb cooking. :uhoh: Never had this problem
with my MFLB. I guess I have to be more attentive.
Still I must say that of all the vapes that I have used-
vapir one 5.0, volcano, pax and of course the LB with PA -
the vapolution has them all beat imo.
I'm eager to try some water filtration, but I'm fine with
the aiwb for now.

that's good to hear, vapitoo. no doubt this can be a great daily driver. I finally broke my Cloud back out again yesterday...just needed that quick, heavy fix.

I was loading the aiw with diddly little pellets and not getting much...I was already pretty medicated! So there is an amount too small for this thing...it's somewhere beneath half filled. This will most likely become my favorite session vape that I use at the end of the night.
