I cleaned the stems on my log vape and got some oily stuff...i put that on the screens and took it for a spin with the vapman...i cannot wait till i get some real wax...that was amazing.
anyone in the States travel with their vapman....i am going to Denver next week and am thinking about taking my vapman...i will pick up a cheap jet flame there...

I never had gear when I was traveling all the time but my friends tell me you're in much better shape if you check your luggage and put it in there (I have several friends that always travel with flower in their checked luggage and have never had a problem...too stressful a thought for me, but you're going to CO, so who needs to take anything?).

I need to take my vapman....as far as medication goes, i can go shopping there. Rumor has it they have a ton of stores to go shopping.

I just flew international in Europe with ze vapman.
Domestically I fly with up to five grams.
I check my luggage, and have never had a problem. I fly alot also.
We have basically the same law when it comes to flying. Yeah, thank you for imposing those on us, Dickhead Cheney haha

Oh Man lucky You !
Dont Forget,Denver is a mile above sea level .the altitude can cause lighter issues,but that wasn t my experience during my visit there.Buy a torch there or Id bring along a reliable lighter that doesn t give you any grief at home and it should all work out.
I had my new daisy shipped to the hotel reception.i had zero issues with the supplied Daisy jet torch.
the hammer i took with me from home was another matter.it didnt like it at all.the lighter mechanism misfired and was spitting.I really wanted to take my Vapman but settled instead on the less smelly convection hits produced by the hammer to carry me through from one hotel lobby to the next.
Re. cleaning for flights.Ive just cut and pasted a reply I received from Vapman in July around travelling with the Vapman.
my question was to ask if the middle section which attracts resin could be made from a different material like glass or Steel so it could be immersed to clean.
They answered:
For safety reasons, the middle section has to be made of some heat insulating material like wood,
stainless steel or glass would get extremely hot and could burn ones fingers very badly. Beside of
this risk, vapman would not be as efficient as a lot of the energy would go into the middle section
instead into the bowl. But there is a solution for your request! You can emerge the whole middle section
fully into acetone, this will clean out the residues to 100% without doing any harm to the wood. For economizing
the acetone, it is a good idea to use a very small container(glass) in which you do first the prewash and one or two
rinsing cycles afterwards. By the way, this is mentioned in our instruction manual.

Its probably a good idea to clear resin from that middle section for flights i believe,be it tobacco or herb resin to remove smells and tars.just in case airport security do find and open the egg to have a look.Saying that I maybe go a little overboard.I always carry my vape clean,with pipe tobacco.
the best screwdriver for my vapman maintenance,removing screens for cleaning etc are spectacle frame screwdrivers.they are a perfect fit and I hang the keyring in my key chest.i lose little allen keys and screwdrivers all the time.

@hoyo77, if you're braver than me, you can clean it really well and put it in the checked luggage? Or ship it to the hotel or someone there instead - like Norvape said?
Such a pain in the ass though because you'd have to be without your Vapman while it's in transit... I'm paranoid so I have a backup Vapman just in case.
They need to legalize the stuff everywhere dammit!

In Denver, there are more dispensaries than Starbucks...
There are more dispensaries than liquor stores!
Just go to Wheresweed.com and do a search by your GPS location and you'll see how many hits you get all around you. - It's incredible.
The closer to downtown Denver, the more hits you get (the numbers in the circles are the number of dispensaries) you can drill down to see them:

I will post pics. I was there the week before Xmas and was amazed. There were around 20 dispensaries within 5 miles of my hotel. I will definitely post some pics, i am going to visit a few dispensaries. If you vape non full melt hash it bubbles and expands and gets into the middle part, so one must screw of the screen and clean out the middlepart fairly often. Especially before flying International!
The hash also makes the middlepart extra gunky. I'm considering getting two new middleparts. One exclusively for weed, and one just for travel.

Trudat!!! My Vapman made it safely to Denver, snowy mix outside and there is a dispensary in the area that has a BOGO on concentrates!!! So you know what i am doing today in Denver!!!

Man o man o man...those concentrate screens and these dispensaries here in Denver....oh my!!! I went to livwell dispensary, they got grams of wax for 25$ and grams of shatter for 50$.....i was in hog heaven. I am very envious of the people that live in Colorado...the only bad thing i can say is recreational users have to pay a 22% sales tax on meds...out of state visitors are limited to 7grams a day....state residents can get up to an ounce i believe. There is no tracking on this so you can just bounce around to the different dispensaries and do your thing....i will be in Denver for 420 fest. Glad i have to come here once a month for my job...i g0t 4 grams of wax and 2 pre-filled vape pens for 160 and change, not a bad price in my opinion but i am new to the concentrate scene!!

Since we found out we can have exotic blanks sent to have a custom vapman crafted, could we then send them ur way to have custom engravings? Or r u out sourcing and have an inventory to sell, and not doing single custom orders?
I'm in the market for a tax return vape haha and a custom vapman is now my top 3 choices. Its between custom e nano, custom vapman, or this damn mighty thats been trying to break the bank haha.

Dabbed for the first time this week..when i was in the dispensary they asked if i needed a pen to vape the wax...i said no i got my vapman...whats a vapman, i went back to the car and brought it in and let her look at it..she was like you can do concentrates with this, i was like yes you can and flowers too! I showed her the screens and how you place them in the vapman. She was like wow i can take this hiking.....EXACTLY.....I can be off the the grid with this...yes you can.
i placed 2 screens in the vapman and a few pieces of wax...did a 7-6-5 heating cycle then too a rip...oh my!! i was amazed at the taste the clouds and then a few minutes later the effects kicked in...The vapman is a BEAST!!! i

Very excited. I can not wait to start vappin' with all of you Vapmen and Vapwomen. I have a Vapman, Vapman torch, Butane, and even a new grinder en route!
The only downside is that the Vapman website wouldn't accept my card so I decided to order from an authorized distributor. I didn't get to choose my model or egg color but it will preform fantastically all the same!
On a different note, would it be worth it to order screens if I would mostly be using herb with the Vapman?

Yep. Totally worth it for the meager investment.
I've been using the screens with my herb recently. I really don't agree with it adding 'convection' but lessening conduction and increasing heat by radiation, yes totally.
It's harder to scorch the herb with the screen in IME. It also means i'm packing more often which I kind of enjoy the ritual of.

I tried using the screens with herb a few times, but I didn't really see an improvement in efficiency.
I'm so used to the torch timing without it that I felt that I had to re-adjust my timing a bit and this threw off my ritual a bit and I didn't feel it was worth the effort, especially since I really don't think that the Vapman needs any help like trying to add convection to it. It works perfectly for me as is.
It may be good training wheels so newbies don't torch their herb as easily though, so that may be a good thing too.
This is just my subjective opinion though.

I must admit...being a first timer with concentrates and having nothing to compare it too....i like the vapman for concentrates it does a damn good job with them. I use all 3 screens and i dont get shy with the heat. I get nice milky hits and very medicated. I like the fact that i can go from flower to herb with the same device. The vapman, simplistic in design is a well thought out work of art!!

I have only seen that happen once..and that is when i was playing around with loads...i like using the three screens cause it gives the oil more places to go than in the vapman itself. still experimenting with it, but so far 3 screens is the way to go, only have to clean the top piece of the vapman...do not even worry about the bottom piece. the oil never reaches it.
