Vapman

First I've tried it with hash; the screen sits way down on the floor, I think, and just sorta perfectly covers the intakes. I set the station to 6 and took quite a few rounds on it. Vapor was light-medium; it took a while to get going but even at 6 I was able to roast it all completely. Flavor was pretty nice throughout. Near the end I let it sit a little longer and things got much cloudier. Ngl, the fit could be better but with care it heats about as well as other Vapmans.

Received the station today. Ordered Sunday, so not bad from GA. I ordered a factory second and must admit, it’s very well built and not a flaw I can find consistently. Unfortunately, being a station 1 owner, I can tell that this station does not function as intended. Vapman seems to sit perfectly, however little to no vapor even at 9. I started at 4 and progressed from there. Notta.

Glad to see that innovation is there, but very disappointed that the quality control is still not with these guys.

I suppose I can fiddle with the alignment or request and return/repair, neither what I’d expect at this point from Inhale.

On a positive note, my Swiss made Walnut still works very well with the torch. I had to test if I still had the skill and eyesight lol.

Greetings...just my two cents please. That does not seem right at all and I would reach out to David and Michael. Something is definitely wrong because my Station heats up perfectly at 3.5. Clouds. Good luck and hope you get that problem fixed. Take care.

Can you post a photo of it seated in the station? I would not be inclined to buy this if it did not work (and in a non halfassed way) with the station that’s been available for less than a year.

Sure. It does fit differently but I'd rather not comment much further other than to say I can see why people had a hard time with it. But it is possible and I used it comfortably about 80% (versus torching) of my usage so far.

How does it fit differently? Was there some design feature meant to make the station work better and more consistently with this new model than with the previous iteration?

Until today, I have snubbed the V2.

you talk about longer sessions, more vapor, more intense taste (?)... heat retention basically...

can we still make it work like a Vapman OG?
will I be able to savor the flavors? increase the temperature slowly?

if the improvement is to heat it once and be able to take several puffs... there is good and bad...

It fits differently as a result of the new size and shape, I believe. With the point of the cone missing, there's less contact which is part of the reason it's tricky to use. There are quirks and features involved that also allow you to use the station differently, but that's not why they were added or modified.

I'm not sure it's retention as much as more efficiency in warming the flower, I think? I'm heating it a little differently, in one go rather than in series' of bursts, but it doesn't seem to require more heat as far as I can tell.

EDIT: If you haven't used the V2 midsection, the added metal retains heat but I'm not sure how much of that is available for roasting herbs.

Yes. In some ways you will have more control, a less risky means by which to go warmer. But you will still be able to time your heating to your liking and so forth.

It's not really that, to be honest. It's more that each heating produces more vapor as a matter of course, but it's cool and tasty and I'm seen no evidence that it actually cooks the herbs more aggressively. Between the way it hits and the flavor, the even roast, the light-ish avb, I wonder if there isn't a little more hybrid effects happening.
I can’t decide… I’m leaning classic but wish titanium mp was in stock

I'm not sure where you'd find a Ti V1 mouthpiece nowadays, to be honest, but I think there are some European shops that carry Vapmans too?

with all these disparities in function of the new stations I wonder if some of the power supplies aren't faulty.

Running the leds and motherboard ask for the right tension but very few intensity. While the resistor probably don't care much about the exact tension as long as it has enough intensity to heat up.

If some of the power supplies aren't keeping up with intensity that could explain a few things. All the stations are tested before being sent but probably all on the same power supply. The power supply sent with the stations are new and sealed if I remember well ?

And the Swiss station power supply was a fair chunk bigger than the Italian one. These kind of components don't always like being downsized...

Between the "old" Vapman 2.0 and the new 2.1, which one gets the nod when it comes to hash? The bigger bowl is obviously designed for flower, so it would be interesting to hear more about how it affects hash use. :)

By the way, on a side note, the slight negativity aimed towards the beta testers is really uncalled for IMO. If you don't care about the "teasing", just wait a few days until everything is public? I personally think the sneak peeks have been great for building some anticipation.

Honestly the 2.0 is better suited for hash.
The sieve fit but the central pole of the bowl have been reduced in diameter to increase bowl capacity so there's more room for oil to run through.
Plus the larger capacity isn't the only thing designed around flower use on this new pan.

Now if you compare with the rest of the market, the "2.1" is definitely one of the best for hash. Only defeated by the original bowl version imho.

Both have a place in my lineup, but this new unit has clearly taken the lead for flower and the OG will remain my hash hitter.

By the way, on a side note, the slight negativity aimed towards the beta testers is really uncalled for IMO.
Thank you !

;)Hello,
another beta tester here, just wanted to chime on with my thoughts on the upcoming release. Lots of they other testers have gone into the specifics as much as we can at this point do this is just my opinion on the new models use.

Up front, I am a massive fan of the OG Swiss versions. I didn't feel a lot of the previous updates were really necessary. I wasn't a fan of blocking air holes, more visible vapor or bigger pans although clearly a lot of people felt differently.
The changes didn't take away from the experience but I appreciated the variations they added.

With the new model I find it's becoming more and more my go to choice. If I'm going out, this is the one I will take with me.

On first use I filled the bowl and the session floored me like no vapman session before. I've dialed that back now but it's a nice option to have.
The flavour and ease of use are as good as ever and the other upcoming changes only make it better.

There are other variations and tweaks that other testers have explained better than I could but the most informative thing I can say as someone who owns a fair few previous versions is I think this one is my favourite.

Edit: I felt guilty saying this was my favorite. I love all my vapman equally.

Thank you for this. Makes a lot of sense and thinking back, the original had a power block where this is just a plug in with a pass through. I had an IH that would behave totally different with a slightly different power supply. Looking through my drawer of power supplies now.

Can you tell me the specs for the station ?

From my perspective, I think I prefer this new device for hash but that’s because I’m not the biggest fan of hash by itself, I like to do the sandwich method which works really really well with this larger bowl because there’s enough space for me to sandwich properly. I think if all you smoked was hash you might find the original smaller bowl to be a little bit better but in my mind they both transfer heat equally well.

What about for microdosing with a full load of flower? How’s the experience of hitting just once or twice every few hours?
