I love a good pun. Thank you for that! But yes, I made sure to get my Yew before making that post. If history is a good indicator these won't last long...they sold out quick in his last shipment.

But yeah, I agree. It's nice to have a retailer stateside willing to stock this for us.

So I placed my order on Friday night and my Yew Vapman and Station arrived yesterday (Monday)...now that's quick! Thanks @VGOODIEZ! I'll try to take pics and post later.

I didn't have a chance to try out the new stuff yet but does anyone with a Station have any tips? I was told to start at high setting and then readjust downward later in sesh. Looks simple as hell.

Shipping time was exactly what I was hoping for but would not have been surprised at all if it showed Tues. USPS generally makes good use of the weekend for transit.

Long out of touch forum member just checking in to see what's new.

Just skimming the comments, the station seems to be regarded pretty positively among it's owners no? How dark can you get your ABV using it?

Checking into the VGZ site they appear to be out of the stations.....bummer. I'll need to be quicker on the draw.

They're (VGZ) awesome by the way. I'm ordering my third Vapman and a Sticky Brick OG (gifts) from them. Highly recommend.

Yeah, that yew one!

Wanted to jump in an say hi to everyone. Ordered the yew vapman and station direct from the site last weekend. tracking shows it left new york and is on its way to me. prolly will have to wait until early next week though, unless some miracle. very fast shipping though, and moved really quick through customs.

Started reading on page 250, got another 20 pages or so to go. Really looking forward to the vapman, especially with the station. Right now my main used set up is a vapcap and induction heater for flower. I think i will really like the vapman based on my preferences, and with the station will be a very relaxing way to enjoy.

The station definitely makes the experience much easier. I actually had a pear vapman prior to my yew purchase and wasn't really quite able to get the super flavorful hits that people talk about. It was obviously lack of proper technique but with the station I was finally able to understand why people love the vapman. That first hit can be extremely terpy. The effect is different than what my convection vapes produce. Feels much deeper and heady. YMMV.

With regards to the level of extraction and color of ABV on the station, you can achieve very dark ABV and I would imagine if cranked up and heat soaked, combustion can occur. I don't care to go there so I haven't pushed it to that point.

Indeed bummer on the sold out stations....good news however is that I believe @VGOODIEZ will be looking to restock more stations very very soon. If you reach out and let him know you want one, I'm sure he can set one aside for you. They will go fast again.

Here is my new setup:

Wow these are beautiful. Not sure how I didn’t see these vapes. I currently have a Vapcap M, Fury 2, and a Sticky Brick Jr (daily driver). Can anyone comment on how the Vapman compares to those three. Also are there any concerns with the plastic mouthpiece? Thanks.

that is so cool! I avoided dynavap because the whole torch thing. I didn't like the idea of 2 very hot things in my in 2 hands, when I finally got a dynavap "m" 2019 with an induction heater awesome combo. I like seeing this could this be a new trend with external heaters.

I don't have the station but with a torch both the Sticky Brick Jr and the Vapcap produce bigger clouds than the Vapman. So if that's what you're looking for don't buy one. The Vapman is not a ripper but a sipper.

However if you want a vape with great flavor that's excellent for microdosing the Vapman is it. It's so damn efficient, for microdosing I prefer it over the Jr and the Vapcap. Risk of combustion is higher with the Vapman than with the Vapcap because there's no click but it's just a matter of practice. The flavor is different to the Jr because you don't inhale butane. Hard to say which one is better.

The Fury 2 and the Vapman are obviously very different. The Fury 2 is a session vape, the Vapman an on-demand vape like the Jr and the Vapcap. Also, I'm not worried about the plastic mouth piece at all.

The Vapman is super portable, cleverly designed and the egg shell is a great container. It's a unique and beautiful vape, also works great with hash. I love my Vapman and I'm happy I bought one!

Thanks man...kind of in the fence regarding the station since I don't really mind the inconvenience of using a torch.....I could def the benefits when exposing the VM to others.

I'm also severely torn among the many choices on the VGZ site. Tempted by that yew VM as sell as the Lifted grinders that they list. But seriously I really don't any more vaping kit. I need help.

So I pulled out my old vapman from years back. It was moderately used with flower and oils. I can't seem to get that flavor back that I once loved from this thing. I've cleaned the copper pan and plastic mouthpiece and screen from wood body. The wood body itself, I didn't do any soaking in acetone or anything. I just scraped and cleaned it as best I could and put it all back together.

I'm struggling to get that good, roasty, tasty rips I once had. Probably my technique needs some refinement but could it be that I need a whole new wood body for the good flavors to return? Let me know your thoughts vapman pros.

My money's on technique. Nothing has changed with VM, sorry to say it must be you? The stuff you did might 'clean up muddy taste' but isn't going to block normal operation unless they are really severe. No, I don't think a new center section would make it work better today than it would have years ago when you moved on. For sure it's not 'sucking up all the vapor'.

Load a full pan, remember it's conduction which favors firm contact. Use well dried bud, you don't want to slow stuff down drying water. Increase heating times in steps for heavier and heavier outputs, while combustion is possible, it's not easy to do working up. "Don't be shy with the heat" (if you hit 'burnt popcorn taste' take it back a notch). Stirring can help.

You'll get back in practice soon enough. Experiment some and follow the results you like.

IMO a very neat vape, good to stay in practice.

Thanks @OF

I definitely feel I am needing more time to get back to where I was. Yes, I have collected many new toys that have put some of my old ones on the shelf. I find myself gravitating towards these older, unique pieces lately as I clean house and find out which ones stay with me long term. Glad this one stayed the course. I will keep at it knowing that it's most likely me!

If you are comfortable using a torch, the Station may not be as advantageous. That's probably the last Yew left but Vgoodiez might be getting more...I'm not sure on that.

If you don't yet have a quality grinder, the Lift is definitely worthy of consideration. It's my favorite grinder and if you look in the grinder dedicated thread, myself and one other have recently left some comments about it.

Agreed on this. I was not able to get the technique down with a torch. Also, I have mostly convection vapes and the fact that this needed firm contact didn't dawn on me until after a few bowls. Definitely seems to require a little technique.

You definitely don't need a new mid-section! You might need to check the air flow? There is an easy way to test the perfect air flow. Try to block the three air intakes with your fingers while sucking on the mouthpiece. It should be almost air tight, the only air coming in should come through the three air tubes. In case the three tubes are clogged (they usually don't get clogged unless you have the habit of blowing in to the mouthpiece), a blunt needle with the point grinded off or a 0.8mm drill will do the job.
The tubes are 1mm at the beginning and 0.8mm wide at the end.

In order to get tasty hits, the herbs have to be heated up quickly (copper pan) and the vapor has to be taken out of the pan by the hot air coming from the three tubes. A good air flow is the trick for tasty hits!

I'm pretty good with the torch but am thinking that in the name of science :science: it'd be interesting to have something calibrated for consistency. Am still considering.

Yeah....the grinder. Ordered and had immediate buyers regret. Probably because I have a mint Rasta 4 inch Cosmic Case....for some reason many vapes isn't an issue for me but more than one grinder is. Long story short, an evening email was responded to immediately by Scott at VGZ and he took care of it next business day. Can't say enough good things about this retailer.

I did nab the next Yew that became available. It's a gift for someone else...unfortunately

So my vapman and station came in about 4 days ago. Been using it since, my other go to is my vapcap and induction heater. I have battery powered vapes, but really like the butane/plug in options the best it seems.

Fit and finish on both the vapman and station are spot on, they look great and seem very well built. I love the small amount used in the vapman. I, at times, was doing the same in the vapcap, just load enough to finish in 4 heat cycles or so.

With the vapman i loaded the bowl and would do 4 hits, sit for a bit and have it stirred slightly, and then another 4 hits. That was at 3.5 on the dial. Last night went to 4.5 and seeing if i wanna try and just do it all in 4 hits, need to experiment more. I haven't tried using it with the included jet lighter, but i really love that station. It gives a nice ritual without to much worry about going over temp. Still need to play around more before i can say how good flavor is, but the effect of the amount i use with little visible vapor is really really impressive.

Really happy i started to watch vidoes of this again and better understood how the station works. In the future wouldn't mind a full second set with maybe cocobola for the wood and stick with the mica version.

Hope more ppl keep jumping on board. I think it is great this thing has been around for so long, but figure maybe more ppl are looking for quicker extraction and/or battery powered. I am just a recreational user so don't need a lot of portability, just easy to move from room to room and/or take with me somewhere, not so much hiking, fesitvals, etc.

I have read some of the thread, so now this may have been mentioned before, but the only other thing i would like is a titanium air path for the mouthpiece or glass for easier cleaning. I understand risk of the glass breaking if dropped, so the titanium would be a nice option. Personally, the titanium doesn't seem to bother me or effect flavor, i think the only time i don't like titanium is when i tried a nector colloector with a titanium tip and i would heat it to high and got off flavor. The vapcap has a titanium tube and it has never bothered me.

If anyone knows where glass mouthpiece or optional parts where that could be done would be appreciated.

I really love the flavours on the lowest setting, maybe worth a try if you're a flavour chaser. After a few heating cycles I bump it up to 2 -2.5 and can get dark AVB on that setting.

About stirring, in my experience it's not necessary (with my fine motor skills I would always spill a bit of herb with the Vapman), it always browns very evenly.

About the glass mouthpiece, the glass mouthpiece from the Magic Flight Launch Box fits nicely!

I hope this helps with experimenting with your Vapman, enjoy! :)

My VM station sweet spot =~ 2.5
Don't expect first two hits visible vapor,
But hey, then again
It's all about the flavor!

Liking also my hybrid vapman sessions:
I sometimes combine station hits
With torch rips, yes it can!
(Calling that my Vapman Play Session)
:sherlock:

And whoah, the mflb glass stem,
Maybe It's between the ears,
(I like glass mp's for all my vapes)
But it gives me smoother & extra flavor taste!
Especially the mflb glass kaleidoscope stem
Like a lot!

Hey everyone, thanks for the replies.

With stirring it is something i have done on pretty much any vaporizer i have had, nothing that bothers me and more a part of the ritual. BUT, i think i agree with the vapman. After stirring for awhile and then not, i don't really think it is needed since there is a thin layer of product on the copper bowl there isn't any real product with layers beneath. Without stirring i have been doing maybe 5 to 6 heat cycles and then calling it done.

With station temp i started at 3.5. Recently moved up to 4.5, and wil try 5 tonight. After i get through the higher levels will def need to give a go around the 2.5 like people have mentioned. I def like the flavor, in addition to the effect.

I did see that about the mflb mouthpiece, thanks for posting that again. My only wish, and i know has been stated before, is if the glass could be shorter and fit down the whole way of the top part with metal screen on the bottoms. This would mainly just be ease of cleaning, and don't know if it would make a difference on flavor. Again, just throwing out really the only change i would like personally, obviously a great and well tested set up. Tried to find what that kaledioscope stem looked like, but cound't find any pcis even on their site, kinda seemed like it wasn't available to all, but may have missed it just did a quick search on my phone.

Did my first cleaning with it this weekend, and just like i prefer, easy peazy. Only used a damp qtip with iso on the copper bowl and the metal screen, didn't take anything apart. I think after more use, then during on of the cleanings, may remove the mouthpiece to try and clean the wood section some. Figure will try to minimize the times i actually remove the screws to clean the screen.

O, I did think of one question i wanted to see if anyone had some thoughts. Was doing searches with the use of concentrates and the vapman. Not sure whether i found a consensus with the use of the screens. Do most just use one screen and a small amount, or tend to use 2 screens, the second to top. I thought i read of some using all 3 screens, i am guessing two for bottom and one on top? Would like to try concentrates in the vapman, kinda slower experience then enail, but also don't wanna make a mess of the vapman.
