@vapman your table top sounds so much like the Aromed, seeing the vapor swirl above the herb is very nice! I do have another question regarding the glass. If broken how easy could it be replaced? And is it borosilicate glass? Aromed uses the magic glass borosilicate and it seems sturdy. Lastly, how much would one of these run me in the US?
The herb chamber, the glass covering the halogen bulb, mouthpiece and the glass at the end of the silicone hose are all made of borosilicate glass. The water filter glass is a standard whiskey glass with a lid made of acryl glass. Are you asking how much the glass wear or the entire vaporizer costs? For questions concerning particular sales and prices, please get in contact with us by email (
mail@element-medical.ch) as I don`t want to use this thread for doing business in any way.
Thank you.
Have you considered doing something acrylic like MFLB ships stock? A little tougher than glass, I don't know how that would factor into manufacturing but I enjoyed my acrylic for the MFLB.
To be honest, I never considered an acrylic mouthpiece, I like our pom plastc mouthpiece a lot, it is probably the best plastc to use for mouthpieces. It can be boiled in water and cleaned with almost any solvents, even acetone. Furthermore it is extremely sturdy and ever lasting, these are to me the most important points a mouthpiece has to fulfill. Good thing the mouthpieces from MFBL fit vapman and vice versa, there is no need to copy their mouthpiece in any way. BTW, I know Forest from MFLB personally,
he is one of the smartest guys I evere met in my whole life and he liked vapman, this is a great honor for me!
@vapman - The shot glass trick you were talking about... Is it what the guy does in this video with the bigger glass?
I wasn`t talking about a glass shot trick, just vapor swirling in the whiskey glass, that`s all.
I will try to do a short video this week without any cleavage.
@vapman has recommended not to heat those holes. It is recommended to only heat the apex of the gold bowl. Also, the vapman is a conduction vaporizer. There may be a slight effect of convection when using the concentrate screen but that is all.
Also, the bowl is not brass it is gold plated copper.
Yes, very true what
@steama states here: Never ever direct the flame to the air nozzles, directing the flame to the apex of the bowl is perfect and heats up the air nozzles as well.
Keep in mind, copper is after silver the best heat conducter you can find, when directing the flame to the apex (that is where the biggest mass is) the entire bowl gets hot instantly. Vapman would not work with a steel bowl for instance, hard to believe but it is true.
I am sure that vapman still works but don't know how deep the damage. The best person to evaluate this kind of damage is
@vapman himself.
As long the wood is firmly holding the three screws of the bowl, this vapman can still be used, amazing but true. Vapman is a work horse.
