So i've been using a burnzomatic on low one two second heating, and two one second heatings from cold and I'm at flavour city milking my 1 foot roor tube :). I still swear this thing milks as well as my e-nano. I've had the vapman for over a year now and totally love it :).

Burnzomatic? Pics??!

Vapman concentrate screens.... Must i use all three screens together when using concentrates? In the demo they use three screens for ejuice. Same thing with wax?

Thanks

I must have taken a wrong turn and taken a wrong flight. I ended up in flavor town and flavor country, but no flavor city. :p

Flavor City is still underground in many urban environments. You can't see it by casual inspection. Have you tried asking random people on the street if they know where you can 'find Johnny'?

Avoid asking guys with guns or badges. Especially both.

Good luck in your quest, it can be worth the effort.

A lightening strike took out half of a 90 foot pine tree last night crushing my wifes car and the electric lines to the house, luckily , the VM does not require electricity...

Wow! I hope no one was hurt.

I'd be reaching for my VM after a thing like that too.

Hopefully you'll be able to get things sorted with the insurance right away and the cleanup of the tree and replacement of the vehicle (I imagine it's a write-off after that) will go reasonably quickly.

I went through something called a plough wind nearly 21 years ago (think tornado, but without the twisting...same severe thunderstorm, heavy winds, freight-train roaring sound, and golfball-sized hail). When Mother Nature gets in one of her moods, things can get really ugly.

Hey guys can someone recommend a higher end torch to use with the vapman ? Something like a colibri, or vector, very tired of having torches die on me and don't mind spending some cash.
In my opinion, there is no better match than the vapman torch.

I've had quite a few torches: from cheap-ass China to very expensive ones, but once I used the vapman torch, my search was over and done.

René spent a long time searching before he settled on this torch and there's good reason for it.

Good luck on your search.

@jfrsn i agree with @Mojo. My first torch was a triple flame torch that cost 30$ CAD, i loved it and quickly learned to use it effectively with craftman without burning up the place with its massive flame. it was a bit overkill though and explains why my VM would get hot where we hold it. Lost that one, bought a 7$ one. That died within 2 days. bought another, it wasn't angled but worked ok... Last week i recieved the official Vapman lighter (ordered from @Mojo, with no issues and great service). This torch is a great match. the angle is just right, a single flame is all thats needed. My vapman never gets hot now as i can easily see and heat the pan properly, my triple flame used alot of butane. i see the vapman torch lasting much longer before needing a refill....

i got a handful of cheap torches from china coming. its been over 4 weeks since i ordered them. need backups for the backups.

I would like to raise a bowl to the auto shut-down feature on the VM Station. Would've had a visit from the fire department for sure if not for that! :science:

I have mine set at 2,5 and it's perfect! And it taught me patience with the torch. And it's silent for those nights when everyone else is sleeping in the house and a torch would seemingly sound like a flamethrower... Cheers!

While we are talking torches I feel the need to echo some of the earlier advice to buy cheap. My favorite torches are Xing brand, they keep a focused flame and come with what seems to be a long lasting robust piezo. Honest brand, eagle and "Power" have all proven to be reliable in my experience as well.

The cheaper torches typically are easily disassembled with a precision screwdriver, as stated before the main culprits in wonky torches are typically the piezo, line or nozzle. Most all of which can be repaired or swapped with other parts to keep your favorites going. This goes for the vapman torch as well, preformed a little surgery on it earlier this year.

DX.com and tinydeal.com seem to be best prices on the torches, I don't suggest spending over $3. Use quality butane and always deplete the tank between refills and you should be in business for quite some time.

Great post, covered a lot of ground. I was with you right up to that last bit, not that it's not solid advice and all but I'm here to confess that I've been feeding my favorite "Power" torch the cheapest Butane in town. We're talking like $3 for the big can at the local smoke shop. Doesn't even lie to you about how many times it's been refined, only claim is that it burns I think. Just what the Power was designed to run on 'back home'. Seriously. That can is nearly empty, I'm not sure I've got another refill in it. I figure I saved enough not using the Blazer I keep for the Iolite to buy a couple of replacement Powers. If I needed to, which I don't.

I also save the tank purge thing for lighters in trouble. Or Iolites...... It's just good practice to never take a pressure (or vacuum) system 'to air'. In our case, the pressure inside keeps the seals in the valve in their normal positions and any chance of dirt or water vapor (a tiny bit can be the kiss of death in valves). The decompression cooling often means the inside is actually at a negative pressure so rather than blowing the fill port clear it sucks it in.

Not really important, of course. But why waste the gas? And expensive gas at that.

Use the savings to get a tasty gram for Mister Vapman off that there top shelf?

Great post......no, I already said that.

Still is, though.

I made a new video on replacing the crucible on a vapman basic.

It's not rocket science (or rocket surgery, like a buddy of mine used to say), but I thought that folks could benefit from seeing the process done.

Also, centering the bowl can be tricky...

So here it is:

Here a counterweight to bad news about terror and worries in the world!:)

Making vapman(s) is my personal sanctuary! After all the years, I still have this fire burning in me and I like to share a photo of the latest series of ash tree with you.

That is very pretty! I can't afford to become a collector myself, but I can see the appeal in it, looking at this piece.

Not sure I could bear to mark up that lovely grain with signs of use, however.

While it is true that you can only use one VM at a time (unless you're showing off, of course....), something like that is mighty nice to be looking at while enjoying your main VM. I have a Walnut one in that category, it sees very little use though, which is a sin of sorts I think. Such fine tools should be used.

I believe I'll take it out and see if it still works.......
