Received my station today together with a new vapman basic and some spare parts!
First I tried it on 2 with my old classic and had a long, very tasty session. Then I had another session on 3.5 which gave me nice vapor after the 2nd or 3rd hit. The material was even brown.
I lately used my vapman mostly with a D020 for herbs and hash. With the lighter I am able to empty a bowl of herbs in 4-5 hits. With hash the vapman works really well too, maybe I also sometimes accidentally partly combusted at the end…I don't know.
With the station I had nice tasty hits from hash between concentrate screens starting at 5. Then moved to 6 and still got nice tasty vapor. Also tried double heating for 2 times but the clouds never got really thick or dense as I was able to get with the lighter. To the end of this session the vapman got really hot. Never accomplished this with the lighter before.
After these sessions I think the station is a nice way to heat vapman. Maybe the lighter is better for ripping some hash through a bubbler but the station is more relaxing and the flavor stays much longer for me. I also think due to the lighter hits I got compared to the jet-lighter its even more efficient.
Still have to test it for dry hash sessions. Also noticed that leaving the vapman at the heating element for some seconds after the green light turns on has a huge impact to the temp of the bowl. But this is already written in the manual…
Just before I used my new basic for the first time which tastes even better then my much used, but still very tasty classic. Mmhhh love the taste and smell of wood.
From now on my basic walnut is my main vapman and will only be used with the station. The classic is my vape2go and sometimes used for new temp tests with hash at the station till I figured out if and how it works good for me. But I don’t care if I still have to grab the lighter sometimes for this special use case.
Overall I’m very happy with this nice piece of craftsmanship. Only criticism from my side is that the PSU still has the green standby light and gets lukewarm when the station is off. But this has nothing to do with the station itself.
Thank you for this nice toy René!
