I'm surprsed that @vapman took the time out of his busy chedule to re-write things that he, and others have already written.

Lastly, by asking someone to "convince you to buy" this, or any other vaporizer, you are just shifting the responsibility away from yourself (which is wherre is truly lies), onto someone else. Then if you do buy a vapman, and you get scared about ccopper oxidation poisoning, you'll be able to blame others for convincing you to buy what you knew was "bad" in the first place...

I do not recommend that you buy a vapman, and I do not recommend that you buy any other vaporizer either.

Actually, I would not recommend you to inhale anything other than air in an Oxigen Vacuum chamber, lest you will inhale any posibly harmful molecule into your lungs which could make you sick...

I'm sorry if I come off a bit trite, but going into a forum and pretending that everyone there serve you like a prince because you admitedly do not want to go through the slight trouble of reading is a bit insulting to the people that put in their valuable time into a forum, with the best intentions to help others, for free...

You really should value and respect the time that these fine people graciously and wholeheartedly give to this forum.

I have to agree it's pretty arrogant to go to a forum and demand people to "convince you to buy (whatever product)". I was also immediately turned off by this comment. That might be acceptable to say to a salesperson in a store who is making a commission on a sale. Even in those situations, I tend not to do that...I do my own research. Hmmm....what to call this?....perhaps shameless fanboy/fangirl time exploitation.

I'm glad @Enchantre and other members organized a Best Of Thread so people can now be directed there for future research purposes. I'm also glad that the question of the use of the safety of the materials of copper and gold seems to have been thoroughly answered.

I realise that @herbivore21 has maybe got some peoples backs up but I really think that he was asking FC as you would ask a friend. & I also think the "Convince me..." part was meant in a cheeky monkey kinda way :p

And judging from the recent comments, I feel he has probably now paid the price for his not so subtle line of questioning!

Got a Classic Vapman as a backup, but now reach for it first. Enjoyed reading this entire Vapman thread & have a few questions/comments,

-Is there a functional reason in keeping the filter clean & shiny, aside from it sticking?

-Any small herb containers that fit in egg, other than tin foil?

-Made a game of flicking the funnel off burner then trying to catch it, I know it's not Simon but any other Vapman games? Can anyone play music with Vapman?

-Best Tip(IMO) that doesn't get repeated(till now) is Vapman's idea to place a peace of tissue between funnel & Vapman to quiet rattling in egg.

-Try wrapping mouthpeace with fifty wraps of Teflon tape for cooler contact.

-Love the etched pieces & enjoy Renée outlook, hope it's contagious!

I haven't stumbled on the issue, but I guess like most filters it could clog over time if you choose not to clean it.

You could use maybe a dime bag? There's not much room in the creases of the bottom to fit anything solid. I could see a tiny jar working if you put it in the top of the case and just put it all inside.

I don't know if this is considered a game, but I just put the top of the case upside down into the bottom and see how long I can spin it haha.

Spin the egg, metal funel, and spin the vapman like tops. Thats sortof fun.

One can also see how long they can hold in a vapman hit, thats always fun. Or.maybe try and blow a hit into the egg, and close and capture it?

One could also try and toss or flick the metal funnel to land perfectly on the mouthpiece of the vm. Hard to do, but has a microscopic carnival game appeal and feel.

Yup, the first sentence there was the case. I was asking my friends on fc to help me out! Thanks VegnVape for recognizing this. :)

I really meant it, I am working around the clock. I've been up working this morning since 3am. I do not have time right now to read an entire thread which is longer than the half a thousand university papers I still have to mark aside from my other multiple jobs.

I wanted to make a purchase sooner, rather than later (when I would get time to read all of such a thread, since I'll be buried in this work for quite some weeks or longer...) This meant that I do not have time to read this entire thread ANYTIME soon. As I pointed out, I read the part of the thread I was directed to and commented on it sincerely and having read the related posts.

Thanks to all those friends and other members who sincerely and genuinely responded to my questions without stopping to presume negative things about me and feeling it appropriate to post personal attacks towards me here; the likes of:

- Suggesting that I think everyone here is here to serve me when the vast majority of my time here is spent helping new and old members alike, especially with regard to concentrates. All this rather than sticking to talking about the vaporizer itself (ie: the topic at hand).

- Also alleging that I am 'creepy', ignoring that I, like many may be working at a computer ALL DAY from which one can see notifications as they come in) again instead of sticking to talking about the topic at hand.

Fuck this ad hominem bullshit right off. Attacking the person instead of the idea is rank and inappropriate, especially on a board where many members struggle with mental illness and medicate for this reason (myself included). Keep your nasty personal attributions to yourselves.

In future I'll just directly contact manufacturers about vapes and leave vape threads alone.

Sorry if I have derailed with this post, but I will not leave personal attacks unanswered.

Personally, I was rather chuffed when I saw that you had joined the thread, & I found your challange ("convince me") a fun prospect & I thought it would be a great opportunity for peeps to wax lyrical about the 'Man & step up where necessary to defend their choice of vape. Such fun! :)

And I was sad to read your post just now, & I agree in that I too found some of the posts by other people to be harsh & certainly not as friendly as I would expect from around here. Please note, they are not the parts I 'liked'.

I vouch for @VegNVape. I'll take some blame and not leave you on an island haha. I thought it was a fun idea so people who love (or hate) their VMs can chime in and give you all the pros and cons. I love it and I think you would too once it's in your hands. It'll definitely conserve your materials by a lot. It's a tiny beast.

Going forward, if anyone does not like the content of a post, do not reply to it, but rather report the post and let the staff deal with it. This would've prevented the shitfest that is the recent posts here. I should probably go back and re-read while handing out warning points, but I'm too lazy at the moment.

Thanks for the kind words and understanding brother. I really was taken aback by the personal nastiness in the same way you were, this is just not what I am used to seeing around FC. I really shudder to think what could happen to my other mentally ill peers (or even myself) if they were picked on in this way at a time when their mental health is worse than mine was on this occasion for whatever reason in a community that they love so much.

Seriously people - I understand we all have a bunch of different reasons for being here and for using MJ. However, please understand that there is a substantial cohort of people (many who contribute a lot of good around here and I am not talking about myself!) here who suffer from mental illness - personal attacks, whilst generally rude and uncalled for may worse still be kicking someone when they are already much more down than you may be able to fathom.

Also I said it earlier but want to reiterate - I really like that VM in his response to me was very patient and explained his background, as well as his being very up-front that he selected materials on the basis of those he had known to be useful and safe in other applications.

I am not leaving here with a negative view of the vapman as a product, nor the manufacturer's customer service - quite the opposite, I am on the whole impressed in both regards.

If I were to start this whole thing again, I wouldn't have posted a thread in general discussion (since I was specifically looking for a response from Vapman - which I graciously received - this probably would have been better as a PM).

Thanks for the recommendation my friend, I definitely can see loads of good reasons to like this vape (and my list of potential concerns has basically been worn away to nothing). ;)

Thanks for acknowledging this too brother and I apologise for not having reported - I saw these comments in the very wee hours of the morning after having been very sleep deprived already (not to mention the pre-existing mood disorder) so my first impulse after seeing very red was to put anyone who had made derogatory comments about me personally firmly in their place.

Still, you're right and I understand that I would have done better to report rather than just retort.

That being said, I feel I've had my right of reply to my personal detractors and explained what was wrong about the personal attacks specifically, and more generally. I wish nothing but the best to those who made said comments and understand that they probably didn't mean to be nasty. Let's bury any hatchets and save our hands for more useful tools - a butane torch lighter comes to mind as appropriate for people in this thread ;)

So back on topic, as @Stu advised:

I'll finish by saying that I am pretty sure I will buy a vapman after all, and judging by my early experiences with the @vapman himself, can see potential for his operation to be added to the recommended vendors list in my sig :)

None until they run out I guess? This is the reply I got back from them:

"You are on the list! The prices of the station will be communicated on April 10th on our homepage (www.vapman.com) and on facebook. After this date please confirm your order with your exact delivery address."

I take that to mean I'm in line. It's 'please confirm'. Since they control the 'you're on the list' part hopefully this also means one is reserved?

Hopefully we'll soon be awash with them and you just order one. Eventually I suspect they'll be easier to just buy and probably at a lower price.

I'm going for that 'first edition' collector kinda thing.......

I got the exact email and I think everyone else did too. There's a lot of speculation, and with launch only a few hours away, all of our questions will be answered. I'm with you on the early adopting. I feel that this is a thing I can stand behind and not worry if there's any problems.

But can I stay awake after the 2 bowls, cognac, and beer? Who knows, fuck it haha

@vapman best of Luck with the Vapman station.

Love the story behind the station.the tech you've employed is novel & intriguing and could equally be employed in designs for future vapes.Might prevent a few unecessary house fires out there.the energy efficiency of the station sits well with everything the vapman already stands for.I commend You.

A great vape is about to get....even greater.

Since the station will be without issues from the first limited serie maybe that is the reason why it is a lot expensiver than expected.. It is the first limited serie, a collector object!!
