ha e spent the past seeking using the prima and I have to say, it changed my mind.....mostly convection...good taste., really good battery life...not bad clouds if you want, fantastic with wax and oils...what is not to like...very solid construction. This deserves more love.

Had my Prima for just over a year. All around good quality but I don't love that the battery is proprietary. My Prima randomly stopped working the other day, just contacted CS with a message the other day but haven't heard anything yet, hope they have good CS

Thanks, but if stealth was at the top of my requirements, I'd go for the grasshopper or pax2. Both easily trump the Alfa for stealth and have stellar reviews.

This Prima is a good size (about as stealthy as the alpha), and if it produces vapor nearly as good as the mighty/crafty (which is my new benchmark) then I might purchase one.
But the Alpha definitely doesn't have vapor quality anywhere near the crafty/mighty.

Can you explain how the Pax 2 "trumps" the Alfa? It gets equally stellar reviews. The Alfa also completely disappears in your hand and has equal vapor quality (according to many) and costs less. I'm grateful that i chose it instead of blowing an extra $80-100 on a P2.
Yes the GH is a better vape when its not in the shop for repairs. (Same with the Crafty). Its very unanimous that neither the Pax 2 nor the Alfa have the vapor quality of the Mighty/Crafty.
It would be interesting to see an unbiased shootout between the Prima and all of the these vapes.

Personal choice after having had experience with both.
There is no accounting for another man's tastes, especially when it comes to vaping.
My Prima filled with Pink Cadillac now, and room is cloudy. I am happy.

I've had good luck with other Vapir products(No2 and mini) and the sale price of $137.99 direct from them along with their 5 year warranty seems pretty sweet.

I assist an older gentleman with his Vapir Prima. It is a well built vape and heavy for it's size---adds to well built feel. IMO, it's not quite a top tier vape BUT the price of $230 was not top tier either. Now, at $138 that seems like a real steal.

Once he got a good technique down and watched that the upper screen was not clogged/caused really tight draw, it's been fine. Good battery life, easy to clean. Temp 1 seems too low and temp 4 too high for him, but temps 2 and 3 work good. Thru a water piece, it works great.

I borrowed it for a trip to Amsterdam and it worked fine for me. As a flavor chaser, it was not up to miniVAP flavor but hey, now it's 1/3 the price of MV.
For that price, it seems like a heckuva deal.

And, if they do come out with an updated model, it will likely be $250 so save yourself some money on this unit santa

If they will use mostly at home, the AC power kit at $32 is a nice feature---makes it into a mini-desktop.

EDIT-- and getting a 5 year warranty is a great bonus.

The prima is a solid choice, it can handle flowers&concentrates, is completly cleanable, replacable batteries (but proprietary...) and I love the form factor ( it is the one to use this shape).

Mine is actually stucked by customs...pfff can't wait to get it!

In the preface of my response I mentioned I was only talking about stealth, nothing else.

The pax2 is smaller, more discrete, hidden button, quicker heat time.

No large obvious dials, large bold prints, protruding mouthpiece, wider dimensions (all of which the Alfa posses).

I think most people would agree the pax2 is more stealthy.

The pax 2 is $199 rrp with 10 year warranty (2 years for the alfa).
For some reason the goboof website won't load price for me; but last I saw it was ~$160??? (Don't quote me on the price).
So it's roughly $30-$50 more?

I know which I would choose, and feel is more stealthy, but as mentioned by @Vitolo vapes are definitely a matter of preference.

I own a Pax 1 and Pax 2
True enough that it is more stealthy.
Between those particular vapes (pax/prima) I reach for the Prima 9 out of ten times, due to the flavor profile.... however even MORE because of the cleaning of the Pax.
Pax 1 very difficult and constant cleaning... and the Pax 2 has it's own regimen that must be followed due to thin vapor path.
I can use the Prima for many more sessions, before cleaning, and am not stuck with a difficult cleanup (difficult due to tiny parts)

Sorry but the Alfa will disappear in the hand more convincingly and feel smaller in your pocket than the P2 due to it being shorter and skinnier. And the only thing protruding would be the tiny black MP of the Alfa, not the entire end of the unit like with the Pax 2. I define stealth by ability to disappear in the hand and how much of the unit is visible when you draw from it, and in that department the Alfa has the advantage.
And when i was shopping the P2 wasn't $199, it was $249-259. I got the Alfa for $169 at the time.

Yesterday I received my replacement Prima from Vapir, it tooks a long time to arrive cause it was stuck in customs for several weeks, but now it's here, in blue edition.
Just vaped some Kush and it works as expected, nice flavor and cloudy enough, I was thinking to sell it cause my recent "VAS strike" but I'm not sure now....

I'm getting to know he Prima on this Christmas day, The person I bought it for didn't like the small size or smooth finish and passed on the Prima, Air, and Solo... was thrilled with and took home my un-used back-up NO2 V2 instead. So I Had a morning wake-up with the prima on level 2, wonderful taste and effect but little visible vapor. Ought to be a good day.

The more I use the Prima the more I like it.

Do you ever actually have to clean the chamber/bowl or the bottom mesh pad/screen? I've used it for at least two or three sessions a day since Christmas and it's all still looking pristine while the top screen gets pretty sticky and covered with residue. No matter how I pack this chamber when I'm done with the session the AVB just dumps out, no taping or needing to use a poker/stir tool to remove any of the load just turn it upside down and it's clean... pretty cool.

I'm getting great taste and decent vapor output on all temp settings, Battery life seems pretty good although i charge after every 4-5 sessions and haven't run the battery flat yet so I'm not sure how many more sessions are left once battery power is down to one light.

In my opinion this is one sweet little vaporizer.

I help an older disabled vaper with his Prima and I used it prior to him.
I clean it for him and 90% of the time only clean the upper screen and beyond it (the vapor path).
I have pulled out the bottom thick screen and ISO'd it and the ISO q -tipped the chamber walls but it really didn't need it. In the future, I'll rarely clean the lower as it stays so clean.

He only uses a pretty coarse grind and only flowers, never any concentrates.
Bottom might need more cleaning if you use conc or a very fine grind???
He loves it and loves the AC adapter

December postings talking about $138 straight from the vender? And now no posts since January. I continue to look for a vape to supplement my Craftys. In addition to being on the wait list for an MVT.

This vape seems to have a lot of good features with no major issues. Why is nobody talking about it now? Also I had to try three FC related vendors before I found someone selling it at $199 w 10% off to make $179. Thats half price of a Crafty. There were a number of reviews where people really liked it. It's almost like I missed something somewhere.

@RUDE BOY thank you I have read your and @Vitolo positive comments along with several others. Of course I also read some negative postings from @Mojo and at least one other. But this thread just seemed to fall off the edge of the earth, and most retailers don't carry Vapir products. Anybody got the scoop on this?

I have the Prima and it's a good little vape. I do think the N02 has more visible vapor, but the Prima will get you high. Its awesome through water too. I swear people knock on Vapir just because. Not interested in why people don't like Vapir, just giving my 2 cents.

Well I don't personally care for the Prima. It seems too hot and harsh for me. Too many little parts to clean, and it does get gunked up a lot. If you are used to the cool draw of a Crafty, the Prima is anything but.

Anyway, this thing is one classy, badass vape. It just keeps hitting and hitting! Of course that may have something to do with Sour Diesel . Build quality is outstanding, vapor is very smooth, and Randy at PIU is the man--but you already knew that!

Caveats: mouthpiece is rather clumsy to clean, and it's definitely not for anyone with arthritis or problems with their hands...

Wow, I said that at first? Maybe that was before my husband started stuffing it to the max and never cleaning it.
