As soon as I have time to sit down with the NO2, Im going to take it apart and see whats going on inside. Maybe at that point we can figure out where the smell/taste is coming from.
I've stated before that we're going to assume name brand vapes to be safe until proven otherwise. At this point none have been proven unsafe. Unfortunately, there are no high tech testing facilities putting vapes through the wringer as a public service. There are also other vapes that you could claim are possibly introducing toxins into the vapor path, due to exposed electronics, including the very popular Arizer models. Are we even certain that exposed ceramic elements are 100% safe? The Volcano has been claimed by some to be unsafe because of the aluminum block it uses, and also claimed by others to be safer than other models, because of the same aluminum block. People come here, and to other forums, with varying degrees of knowledge concerning materials and temps. The Vapir Mini is also well known to have a taste/smell issue. I don't remember seeing numerous 'may be hazardous to your health' warnings posted on that one. And quite a few buyers of both the Mini and N02 have not even noticed a taste/smell issue.lwien said:Edit: Max, I hope you don't think that I am continuing to bash this vape with my post above. That is not my intent. I'd just like to get to the bottom of this smell, taste issue if we can. I know that you believe that it is just a personal preference regarding a persons sensitivities to taste and smell, but it could be a more serious issue than that. Bad tastes and smells are red flags that really do need to be investigated, do they not? Is it really ok to state that the vape works well, and that we really shouldn't be concerned with these "potential" health issues as long as users can tolerate the taste and smell ?
Well there is this post:lwien said:Please give us a report back, Stu, regarding the taste. I'd really like to hear from just one member who has been here for awhile with more than 100 posts under their belt to report back that this vape doesn't have a noxious smell to it. .

The taste is fantastic and I really don't have ANY complaints about the unit as whole whatsoever and I do own quite a few vapes whether they are portables or not.
So for me now it is the old faithful Herborizer at home and now No2 when I'm on the road (which is a lot) in place of the iolite or the VM3. All the best from DOWN UNDER guys.
Go you Dragons!

The MFLB wont work for me because of the cold issue, and I dont really like having to switch batteries either. I want something I can hide in a cup or something at the movies like this or the IO but I dont like the IO because of the butane and all the other issues of that device.
Anyone have any suggestions?

stonemonkey55 said he'd give it 2 thumbs up if not for the plastic taste (after two months). That's about as good as you're going to get from a member who has owned/used many different vapes. As for "possible health concerns", that question is going to go unanswered for quite some time I'm sure. So the verdict is that the vape works well, and some have no problem with the taste, while others do. I feel safe in saying the difference in opinion, taste wise, is due more to differences in taste buds than to variances from one unit to another.Zormac said:Id really love to have this vape, it looks like it's exactly what I've been looking for but the reports about the smell/taste is holding me back. Not the taste itself as im sure I'd hade alot worse before, but the possible health concerns. I really hope the device gets some more good reviews from long standing members.

thank you for the straight up answervape4health said:No man your right its the cano or no2 . I have read alot of the pages here and in them hundred and hundreds of pages I just cant find any other home vape but the cano . Sorry Im out of this untill I have the vape in my hands to have something to say about .
Bogey this forum is FULL of non cano home vapes and I think the most expensive one is under $400 , if your not looking for a bag blower check out the Da Buddha Vaporizer , under $200 and will knock your socks off , Im not going to plug up this thread with other vape stuff but man you got some serious options .
Edit : For the $100 , I would get a Magic Flight Lunchbox , and its the only thing I been using as my home vape , I have a bunch of options but find the LB in hands all the time .
