What up ladies and gents, vape enthusiasts, and cloud chasers. I have had the privileged to once again have a VXC unit in my hand. In fact, it is the #0 Unit. So anyone who used the VXC at canna clubs with SM55 in person, I am now Clouding with the same unit... and I mean right NOW. This unit has a history, and has surely been used by many interesting people. It now has a good home, and has traveled a bit in Metro Detroit already.
Anyhow. I have had this unit since Saturday, and this is already longer then i had the original beta. A few new takeaways.
Vapor, ease of use, and taste are just as good as i remember. Vapor is thick as hell. I could hoot and rave as before, the unit warrants it, but let me go over some things i haven't hit.
Not as perfect as I remember:
The bowl does require one stir, or two for ultra fat packed bowl. This is something i recall not really being needed, but i know now you will get some more thick hits if you grind and break up the herb by stirring. i think after the first 3 or 4 hits, it helps vapor get thick again, and increases taste. After the second stir on really deep bowls, most taste is gone but vapor is still thick. No burn or popcorn taste, as i roast the whole bowl at the same temp. No need to change temp, everything is roasted perfect after stir. With small loads with a fine grind you would probably not need to stir, and most bowls are one stir max IMO (except the biggest ones, or less grinded or moist herb). Something worth pointing out is the fact that the bowl pops out quick and easy, and doesn't ever seem too hot to touch, even when turned up high to hash temps. Stirring isn't too bad.
Improvements:
My previous beta was hot, and i mean that by the fact it got too damn hot to hold really quick. I have no idea how, but this is a non issue now. Vape temps for hours, and no issues with heat outside the unit. good work VX crew, this is now A.
The best improvement, is the temp range. Although i didn't have a lot of time to test it before, the VXC is fucking amazing when it comes to hash now. My suggestion, designate a specific bowl for hash, although you can rinse and clean bowl easy. No herb needed, crank the temp all the way, add hash to bottom of screen. you will get some huge clean vapor rips. i had grown so accustom to using the Eclipse H20. it was the only "vaporizer" i could use pure hash with no herb with much success. Problem was, i would only be vaporizing for a hit or two, and eventually would torch and cherry almost every bowl. I like it, but i know it isn't vaporizing.
So far have used the VXC with kief; pressed and heated, and loose. Both work very well, but i think i prefer the pressed better. Then broken up after a few puffs. Also, bubble/water has, is great in the VXC. Got some good sticky stuff, and it works oh so well. I feel like i get as many hits or more with the same amount of hash as i did in my Eclipse, with no ash or burning in the VXC and smooth hits to the end. Just browned and brittle hash. I still keep it with the normal duff for butter/oil.
Sorry, throwing this out quick. But for you hash heads, this is the shit when it comes to fat vapor tokes of concentrates. What i love the most, i just can so easily hold the hits in, and really get torn. But, user beware, this machine is extremely efficient. some hash after many bowls of herb? goodnight nurse.
