At last, the elusive dimensions! Thanks ever so much, max. I've been after specific dimensions ever since I added the Cloud's Vaporpedia entry. stonemonkey55 was quite helpful while I created that, but somehow the dimensions kept eluding me. I'd asked another beta tester but he wanted to check that the dimensions were stable before he responded. I'll plug these in for now. I doubt they'll change significantly, and if they do I'll fix them. Can you give me approximate weight, with and without hydratube?
Without tube- 510g/18oz. With tube- 750g/26.45oz

I think it would have been a good idea to let this forum know the presale prices were going to change. At the presale price I was a definite sale and now I'm on the fence. I knew it was a risk to wait and I guess that could be my loss.

^Yeah personally I would have DEFINITELY gotten this vape for $350, but for $450, I would not get this vape, more likely the Oracle infared vaporizer if I am in the $450-$500 price range...
That is part of what made the cloud special was the price. I didn't know at all that it was a pre-sale price, I guess I missed out
While it would have been nice to know the deadline for presale pricing, those prices were available for a long, long time, and 'presale pricing' was stated on the site and in this thread quite a few times. It's also been stated multiple times that the Cloud will be available later without the hydratube, for those with existing glass or for those who want something less expensive to use with it. It's a long thread, granted, but it's easy to do a search for stonemonkey55 posts in this section, in order to find pertinent info.
As for the Oracle instead of the Cloud, from someone who's used both, about the only thing these two have in common besides the use of glass (and excellent performance), is the price range. The Oracle is a great bag vape. You could even consider it a dual mode unit, although direct draw can't be done in passive mode. But IMO it's apples and oranges with the Cloud.

ahhh, you can see the glass air entrance in that pic at the bottom of the cloud
Will all models have it visible or will be more recessed, dont matter either way
Does it get hot?
The air intake needs to be accessible to the user IMO. Partially blocking the intake with your finger during a hit, to whatever degree you like (even varying the degree of blockage during the hit), allows you an incredible degree of control over the vapor density. I discovered this method last night, on day four of my beta experience, and kicked myself for not seeing it right away. I previously said that the standard connection SSV allowed greater hit control than any gg setup, but I have to back off that now. The 'finger valve' method with the Cloud takes my vaping experience to a whole different level. Every hit can be different than the previous one. Just passing your finger over the intake changes air flow and the density of the hit, to whatever degree you want. It's like adding valves to a bugle. You can 'play your hit' with ultimate ease. This is ultra
As for the heater tube getting hot, it really doesn't, especially at the intake end. Since you're drawing up to the output connection, it's a little warmer at the top, but you won't get burned. I do have to warn that if any water gets spilled into the top of the heater tube, by the time it exits the bottom (as in a fraction of a second) it can be hot enough to give you a 2nd degree burn.

but I know if I buy it, I'll cry when I break the HydraTube.
Sounds like you need either an acrylic hydatube, or a padded room.
