Sorry you weren't very impressed VapeArts.

I came away confident that this is about to be the best available tabletop vaporizer on the market.

I don't know that I'd call it a tabletop/desktop vape. Although you can certainly use it that way, taking a (two) hands free hit, it's designed so that you can hold and use it with one hand-one of the nice features of the model, and one that I really appreciate.

Max, I agree. I never used it hands free nor do I see using it that way. I would be more accurate in saying that I think it will be the best plug-in model out there. I was trying to differentiate it from the battery operated portables.

Another fun thing about the visit with SM was seeing him hand it to a couple people who had come into the vape lounge area to use the Volcano they had there. These were not Cloud fans, had no idea it existed, but after one or two draws and SM's explanation of why he/they designed it the way they did were wanting to order several of them.

To the Facebook message... as of this past Friday afternoon SM said it may be another week or two until they have the manufacturing contract finished. Maybe there was a lot of progress since then or maybe "shortly" means soonish. It would be a nice surprise if they announced something today.

first post. wow i feel so lucky to find this forum. I recently decided to convert over to vaping, and in my search for the perfect first real vaporizer i found this forum and the cloud. now i'm so excited about the cloud release and have pre-ordered one. too bad its not available now, so i still have to smoke during the meantime. but i think the cloud is worth the wait. i think i read every single page about the cloud, hahah really had a finding out the short names for the vaps. lolz

Welcome! You should get a Launch Box, Vapor Genie, or another small portable while you wait! You will end up needing a portable anyway!


So anyway I have been "shopping" around for a nice medium sized bong to go with the Cloud. I want the super trio: a bubbler, a bong, and a hydratube (or 2)

Once our contracts are officially signed, I will give everyone a heads up on when they can place the order, the expected delivery times, and all that good stuff.

We're going back and forth on terms right now, we are getting close to getting the contract signed, just need to let the attorneys to do their thing and once this is official, I'll make the announcement.

thanks man, yeah i'm super excited for the cloud, hopefully i can go to one of these meet-ups and try it out. i do have a magic flight box but it doesn't hit the sweet spot for me. also thinking about the vaporfection mivape but not sure yet, maybe a solo since they are pretty cheap now, but been hearing about the chipping problem they have, so i'm staying away for now. really wish they have some kind of real release date for the cloud. really wanna fully convert to vaping but everything i want is not released yet.

Folks, please give SM a break. I, for one, prefer that they get as many things as possible hashed out BEFORE we take delivery of the product. Otherwise you end up with problems, like the Solo did, and I am not willing to go there. A project like this, to be done correctly, is gonna take time and ultimately I think we will all be more satisfied as a result. I feel lucky that I even have the Cloud, and VapeXhale, in my life at all.

has warranty been discussed at all? coming from being a Solo early adopter, I was a little apprehensive, but after seeing SM's presence here and the extensive beta testing, i'm not so nervous after all. However, would still like to know a bit more about how the warranty process goes, specifically from abroad (canada). and if it will be possible to purchase a warranty that goes beyond 1 year?

This device really looks interesting and the hydra tube setup along with the device looks right up my alley to moisturize my vape hits (which I really think I need to avoid those dry bronchial coughs), so I look forward to seeing this hit the mainstream and am pretty damn sure I'll be in line for one once they DO release to the public.

I have no problem purchasing quality products. However, I must say that I've pre-ordered CD's, clothes, collectibles and many more things in my life, but never have I done so without incentive. Theres alway's a reason for my pre-ordering (its going to sell out, it comes with a free gift, it's 10% off, etc, etc.)

Not sure if you guys are in dire need of pre-orders or money or not, but from a marketing standpoint I think SM should be giving incentive to pre-order. It'll bring in more money to get production done and get the product out the door quicker.

Whether you think there's an incentive or not, there is no downside. There's no legal obligation to pay when your order comes up.

When the pre-orders started there was a discount, I think the price was $100 less than what we see now if memory serves me. I missed out on that however. The main incentive for me to pre-order is to not have to wait as long to get the product. I love my HA but it is hurting me when I medicate now.

You will get your unit before anyone else, this is the whole reason I preorder most items. Blu-Rays, CD's, videogames, ect. Just to get them, as soon as possible. Those on the preorder list will get the first dibs on glass HT's too. They'll all be nice, but i want to get some of these early HT's, i would expect a base unit to come with in-house scientific glass in the future.

edit: why not preorder? you can always decline once contacted, no obligation. my opinion, i would pay an extra fee to get this expedited to a priority shipping just to get it a day or two quicker (i have NEVER opted to do this with another vape or blu-ray, ect). Reason? I think after my trial it is worth the extra couple of pennies to get it as quickly as possible, a lifechanging for a multi times a day med vapor enthusiast.
