Grinders: most 4 piece ones, grind to a similar consistency that would work great for the VXC. A Kanaster brand grinder has a slightly larger grind consistency then others i have tried, as every other hole where the herb falls through is longer, allowing bigger pieces to fall. The quality and type of the screen in a four piece grinder is also a factor. I would suggest buying a reputable brand, as I have seen pieces of metal flake off the cheapest grinders. I personally would never buy a no name grinder again.

Great thing about the VXC, about any grind will work except the absolute thinnest, which might suck through the mesh screen. Thing would probably vape pretty well even if you just dropped a nug inside. My personal preference is space case and kanasters.

2 pc. vs. 4 pc. determines consistency for the most part. One allows bud to escape the teeth. The other doesn't.

I use the upside down trick to get things finer before letting the holes do their work.

Or spend much less and still get a good grinder.

Eh, my Space Case Ti 4 piece small was $40 and serves my purposes well.

That's always an option, although not one that everyone chooses.

Excellent price, but not a real world store price. Even with a 15% FC discount, that model runs $63.75. And even at $40, I can buy two grinders. I like SC in the 2 pc. size. With the 4 pc., my experience with SC and cheaper grinders tells me you're paying more for the name than functionality. I'll buy the Toyota over the Lexus and spend my savings elsewhere.

What qualifies as a reputable brand in your book? I've bought a wide variety, and I've used the hell out out of inexpensive models like Chromium Crusher and Sharp Crusher, and they've performed and held up just as well as the expensive brands. I've yet to find the elusive metal flakes, although I haven't bought any convenience store grinders (and don't intend to).

Thing would probably vape pretty well even if you just dropped a nug inside.
I'd much rather load some little chunks in the Cloud bowl, than dump in herb that's suited for the LB. This screen material isn't ultra fine like the LB material. I've filled a bowl and tapped the top with my finger, and you can see a little herb dust puffing out through the mesh with every tap. And not only can you lose a little out the sides and bottom, you can suck some powder through the screen cap. IMO with this bowl design, you don't need or want a really fine grind.

The only time I have seen the flakes was from no name grinders. Never from my space case, kanaster, or vapenow grinder.

I don't think this was ever answered. Can I use my amber glass in the cloud native, or will there be a liquid pad of some sort coming out?

Hmm, it sounds like I might go back to chopping weed up with scissors once the Cloud comes out.

I also didn't find many details about using concentrates. It would be awesome if we could vape liquids native.

Thanks all for the excellent grinder comments. I definitely don't want to turn this into another 'grinders' thread -- we have a huge one those already!

Funny, many of you mention the Launch Box - that's the only vape I own and have the most experience with; hence probably the source of my question about grinding; the mflb can be finicky about it's grind and it took me a while to really figure out the best consistency and the best tool with which to do it with.

Vape on :peace:

I use a coffee grinder exclusively, although the blades are probably pretty dull after a couple years of use. Sometimes it doesn't get the wetter stuff fine enough for my preferences. I wouldn't want LB dust in my Cloud, but a finer grind works well for me.

Unlike some vapes, the Cloud's air flow isn't restricted that much even if the bowl is tightly packed with fine ground bud, so from that standpoint, the grind consistency doesn't matter much.

I haven't read the entire thread yet, but after using the EQ, Solo, SSV, herbo, and VHW, i'm looking for something much MUCH better, and I think I have found this in the Cloud. Going the read all the posts now to catch up, but my pressing question is in regard to preorder. How does this work? Do you actually have to PAY now, and then they ship it to you when released? Or just puts you in a cue, and pay when it comes out? Right now my only concerns seem to be a very short 1 year warranty, and cleaning the glass... i'm guessing the bottom must get pretty brown fast? Otherwise this looks very VERY AWESOME!!!

I have used all of those vapes many times except the herbo. The vxc is much much better, IMO and I think you'll agree. On the preorder, you don't pay till the product ships. Didn't have mine long enough to get it very dirty, but with an exposed all glass vapor path this should be damn easy to clean. ISO and q tips alone should do the trick.

Dude, thanks so much! This is exactly what I wanted to hear and makes me that much more excited for the VXC. Am I going to far in saying that this will be the industry killer and quite possibly the best vape in the world? I'm thinking this is the new "Volcano" but 10X better. I just can't believe I didn't look into this more before! I think the cost put me off, but really it's not much more than an Extreme. Curious why you still have the inferior vapes in your lineup? Also what about the metal screens? Do they clog like the extreme's? Guessing an ISO soak would fix that right up? And do they not get smokin HOT?

There is no best vaporizer!

vape4life, you are a rare bird on this forum. You've been vaping for five or six years with nothing but a v-tower/E/Q. When you branch out to different models and delivery methods you will probably find a desire to collect them for different purposes or situations. My Cloud is by far the best tasting and easiest to hit vape in my collection, but I still don't use it every time. I tend to go back and forth between my Cloud and my PD, with the rare Ion bag mixed in.

I politely disagree, and to me it kinda appears like you just contradicted yourself. Firstly, I have "predominately" used Arizer's products over that past 6 years. In that time I have also bought, used, and then sold an SSV, Herborizer, and VHW and for various reasons and always went back to the EQ. I could write forever on what those various reasons were, but I also didn't know as much as I do now about the inners of the EQ and Arizer's recent issues with the Solo, warranty, website, etc. Why point a customer to purchase something from your website when it doesn't exist? That's embarressing on Arizer, big time.

What you just said about the Cloud says alot, and to me considering your collection that would be the "best" vaporizer. I know you said you use PD too but what about the other vapes in your collection other than a rare bag? Do you use your Extreme?

I can't afford to keep many vapes...all I want is one or two GOOD ones... I thought that would be the EQ for home, and Solo for portable...heck i was so impressed initially by the Solo that I sold the EQ. So for me, it looks like the Cloud is it for the best vaporizer! lol PD has me intrigued forsure...but 40 min. warmup time just doesn't work for me. Might think more about using a timer...

hey monkey...how thick is the glass used for the HT's?

Vertigo uses a 50mm X 5mm for the chamber that houses the tree, which reduces to a 38mm X 3.5 mm mouthpiece

SGWs are 44m X 4mm

SGs are 50 X 5mm that reduces to 38mm X 3.5mm

For those that don't know, the first number is the diameter of the tube, the second number is the thickness of the tube. Some of these may change but the current ones have those dimensions.

VapeXhale branded tubes will be 50mm reduced to 38mm
