VHB has a separate fire button. Always been the best feature. After that we can talk aesthetics; it's shiny too!
There is no other metric.

The vape bake is great mate! And no stirring needed as long as I'm using ground bud. I routinely heat several seconds past the click to get all of the goodies out but without any burning. I'm getting every bit of the effects and clouds that one can possibly get from 0.03 worth of THC bud. I can't think of any other vaporizer that can do that so effortlessly except for maybe the Vapman. Oh, and the VLeaf Go, but I bet that the vapor out of the Simrell stem is alot cooler.
I know the Sticky Brick lineup is super efficient too but the technique is a nightmare to master and I'm not a fan of the wood signature.

Oh that makes so much sense. Of course a smaller dose could use longer bake time while being much more forgiving.
I wonder how similar a Caldron would be to the VHB if it used a 2S battery pack. One could easily convert a PSM to 7.2V.
Not doing anything less than a packed 1/2 bowl, I never gave micro-dosing much thought in light of an IH. And it will still respect the click as it did at the higher power levels.
Who's game to try? Or who's able to try? To change their @Pipes creations and muting it significantly for small dosing efforts.

I'm curious as well! I ordered mine 4 weeks ago. On the website they said it could take 4 to 5 weeks, so i'm hoping to get a shipping confirmation by this week.
Real quick update. I just got my tracking number for the VHB. Its been exactly 5 weeks since I ordered it. So they're pretty spot on with their 4-5 week delivery estimate.

VHB showed up a day early. Here it is in all its glory. The natural light makes the gray a little bit brighter hue than normal. Think NES Zapper gray. It feels solid, button feels good, very subtle scuffing which happens to this kind of plastic, so its bound to happen via handling or shipping. I'm planning to switch out those screws with some shiny red ones. Cold heat is 16 seconds to 2x clicks, but I am also using a SS vapcap. Still, it heats everything nice and even. I personally like a slow roast tbh.
I had a couple questions about minor adjustments and Steve from VHB replied back within like 30 minutes and very helpful. Excellent customer service imho. Overall experience is very good. Its not the fanciest induction heater, but its compact, you dont have to wait 6+ months, its priced well, and its solid. I like it.

I got mine about a month ago.
I also have a dynacup, and a cauldron.
our fave is the cauldron, because of the consistent, quick heatup time.
but we've traveled with the dynacup and the VHB, and they've slowly been creeping into daily driver duties for us.
not being plugged into something is just so convenient, it's hard to make the case for going back harder the more you get used to it, even if the clicks take a few extra seconds. you just stop thinking about it, since you just bring the thing with you anywhere.
also, that whole argument about how it fires; i find it makes exactly zero difference in our use. once you learn your heater, you adjust to it, and none of these things are inconvenient.

It will be a comparison between the upcoming Flite and the new VHB for me. Held off on the Orion for now. Hoping to get something portable with replaceable batteries

I love my VHB! I go 8 seconds past the click. Ti tip, full bowl. I’ve asked for a less aggressive heat time and it’s a truly solid build. Customer service is amazing! Yes! I am still loving my VHB. I use it on and off throughout the day and I only need to recharge once every 4 days. I probably wont get an Orion because I dont need anything smaller at the moment. If im out and about, everything goes in a hip bag; induction heater, dynavap, flower, camera. I dont think I ever walk around with just the induction heater and dynavap in my pocket.

I plan to like it, especially the USB-C charging and smaller form factor. I am also on the waiting list for the Flux.

I find the whole USB-C thing overblown. The complexity in the standard alone should tell a designer/maker to stay clear. And as finally realized in words, surprise, the ever evolving standard. Makers of the cutting edge of -that- technology need that. We on an IH don't need that. Hell, I don't even fucking want yet another expensive GD plug festering around my house. The reason for USB-C is so deep we can only get a glance over the horizon as to "why USB-C". Personally, and I write all this as my perspective, I think Micro-USB with a 10W charge capability was more than sufficient in these products and still holds the interest of the masses. I only hear a select few techies that really scream USB-C without a single bit of support as to why. I'm not talking just here, but the industry as a whole. Now Dynatec is having to put disclaimers on their outdated implementation. What good does that do a maker? USB-C tech is designed to deliver insane amounts of power on a small connector and make chip makers gobs of money. I don't want on that bandwagon in development. I don't want the tech in my house. I certainly wouldn't settle the unsuspecting novice to yet again 'pick up and move' a tried and true tech to something with new limitations. This is pure consumerism run-amuck in the case of the Orion.
Don't get me wrong, I have my share of reservations on the BMS solutions too, and 12.6/8.4v chargers.

My phone and ear buds use USB-c. I have USB-c with me at home, in the car and on the go. It means one less charger to worry about.

Exactly my point @swieder711 - we all have different gadgets. But USB-C is still the minority.

All of my gadgets are USB-c. Instead of bringing the proprietary VHB charger, I can use an existing one.
