I already envy the lucky soul that snags that sweet looking Dyer Oak piece.

hey everyone!

so it's been a while since i've last posted on here since life has gotten really busy over the past year.

might as well do a quick update on my UD's. i've now had my two UD's, the big Bamboo log and Bamboo twig for about 2.5 years now. both of them are still the vapor producing monsters they were on Day 1. no issues with either one of them except the big bamboo log has a slight rattle which is easily fixable. i've showed them to many friends, none of which had anything negative to say and definitely wow-ed quite a few with how much vapor one of these pups can produce.

i've seen these new stems that have been added to the UD arsenal. I'M SO JEALOUS. they look awesome! especially those nylon stems. however, am i the only one who still uses silicone stems? i feel like an old timer :myday: but honestly i love using silicone stems. i get such thick vapor from their really tight seal and they can last quite a while if you just keep washing them regularly. which reminds me, i need to order some more cause i'm running low...

Interesting, I will try the small hole out. Thanks for sharing cuz I am looking for tips on how to use my soon to arrive UD. Seems that tips are a bit hard to find because the dogs are so easy to use that you hardly need any advice!!!:leaf: :rockon::love::leaf:

i use technique as well. after i load my stem and pack it down slightly with the end of a bic pen(i've found this helps produce thicker clouds) i take an end of a paper clip to poke a hole down the center. maybe it's just me but i find it helps with air flow. also i like to imagine that it helps create a mini-vortex of vapor :p

P.S. to all the lurkers out there(i was one for sooo long), you guys better jump on this BDay special. that sale is an absolute steal!

Ouch, sorry to hear about the spill man. As Lampshade mentioned what you want to do is run your Dog at full operating temp and burn off all the oil possible. Do this in a well ventilated place and not near anything combustible in case the oil is flammable, a concrete porch or similar is usually a good place. The majority of the oil will evaporate/burn off in an hour or two and much of the remaining smell will fade over a couple days. That being said Eucalyptus oil is one of the more potent oils so it's possible it won't fade completely away but it should fade a significant amount.

Give her a try and get back to us on how it works out that way the community knows for next time it happens.

If it doesn't fade all the way away and you find it's driving you crazy PM me and we'll see what other options we have. :peace:
Cinnamon oil is verrrrry strong when being burned off, kinda icky!

Thinking of purchasing a UD for my first vape. What are the main differences between this and a e-nano? Also does the standard kit come with everything I need to get started?

The standard kit should come with everything you need to get started and then some.. we try to be generous with it. Lots of design differences between the UD and E-Nano but few functional ones as far as I know, maybe others can provide detail as I'm obviously biased towards UDs.

Hey underdog is that you selling next to Blazin' Js?

It is indeed! Are you in the area?

Does the UD come with the VVPS? If not where could I find one? Pretty certain I am going to place my order today. Which GonG and nylon stem does it come with, long or short?

Thanks, Nathan

No it doesn't come with a VVPS - we find that 90% of our users don't need one. That being said we usually offer one as an upgrade but we're completely out of stock for the time being. The GonGs are full length as are the Nylon Stems.

::edited to add:: - If you're looking for a VVPS I think your best option is probably a VoltageKeeper, pretty sure there's a thread on it around FC somewhere. Sorry I missed this question the first time around. :peace:

Well I placed my order I CANNOT wait until I receive my first vaporizer. :ko:

I was just getting ready to reply in your thread. Welcome to the pack. Play with the UD for a week or so before investing in a vvps. As Dave said, most of us don't use one. Between screen placement (gong) and the depth of the stem (gong/nong) into the heat port, you get a lot of control as far as temps go.

One of the most OUTSTANDING vid performance demonstrations I've seen on FC!!! Even without heat-soaking the small efficient load, you get hit-after-hit of heavy flavorful vapor. You nailed it @paytonpenn - THANK YOU!!! GO UNDERDOG!!!

WOW-EPIC ViDEO. :clap:  Thanks paytonpenn for sharing.

OMG you guys are too much.I am just putting this here because I was to the point of putting it under four people.

I will be attempting to emulate a portion of this over the weekend when my Air Core arrives. Though I don't think I'll leave the couch til Monday morning if I even do a third as much.

So excited to get my dog, will probably act like a giddy school boy hopping from one foot to the other after running out to accost the letter carrier and forcing a tip and a kiss upon her.

Straight in to rip open the package and jam plug into the closest outlet before even closing the door.

Next comes the stubbing of toes and dislocating of my shoulder against the door frame as I scream into the study to grab my meds.

And finally- oblivious to stubbed toes, dislocations, and the open front door- my first vape

--Tomorrow or Saturday. So stoked

Can anybody tell me if there is anything to keep in mind on the maiden voyage. Do I need to consider anything in terms of screen placement to start off with? I imagine I may just tweak the depth after I get a bit used to things. And is heat soaking a thing that I should be considering? I have been looking at some glass, too. Thank you guys for sharing that piece, the recommendation, and link. Looks like it might be a winner and better than some of the local things here in Phoenix or on G-City.

Just play with it - explore - learning curve is short. Notice that @paytonpenn has his vvps set at 13.2 volts. Let her warm up first for about 20-25 minutes at about 12 volts then adjust a bit lower to 11.5 volts and go from there - find your favorite sweet spot! You may want to start at 11.5 volts and see where that takes you. Maybe set at 12.5-13.3 volts for more complete quicker extraction (just my enjoyable experience). You're gonna love your new dog!!!
