Hey Dogs we've been knocked mostly offline for the past couple days while the phone company repeatedly did their best to destroy our DSL line so I'm once again behind on responding to forum posts, messages and emails.. story of my life right?

Anyways I'm working on catching up now but probably won't be all the way caught up till late today or tomorrow so continue (as usual) to bear with me. :cool:

I finally got my VVPS that I ordered off of ebay(with some aid of forum members). I got the cable I would need from Dave. Its the same VVPS pictured in the directions that came with Dave's cable. The package from ebay was just the VVPS & cable to attach it to AC outlet. It has a digital display on the front; which has never 'turned on' as of now. It didn't come with any documents/instructions. I'm sure some of yall have used something similar? The 'Tattoo Power-Supplies'. I am frantically trying to get this thing to work! Tried ~7 different outlets. Even tried a lil tuff love :goon:. No dice..unless its ON without the display? If I am not seeing anything, at all, on the front voltage meter & no indication (that I can tell) that it's powered, does this mean that the VVPS is literally not functioning?!? I am quite bummed, frustrated, sad, etc. It shipped all the way from china[2-weeks which would be a nightmare to return], & I had been wanting one for months before I ordered anyways(lack of $). Someone please tell me this thing works, & that I am just missing something obvious? Or tell me the truth. Either way I appreciate the help.

I didn't need this to happen tonight..arggggg :bang: :cry: :argh:

@ GratefulVapor - sorry about your bad luck dude, that really sucks. Did you ever get it resolved and/or find out what the problem is.. or is the power supply just dead-on-arrival? If you are still stuck without a power supply send me a message or email and I'll see if I can offer some kind of assistance.


@ StatuesCryBleeding - I don't know that the UD will reach the temps needed to do that, at least not without damaging the Dog. I'm not saying it's not possible, just that literally I don't know. I hope someone else can be more helpful.

@ timmahsan - thanks for the post on the new GonG stems and the comparison to the WonGs.. your observations are just about spot on to my personal ones. As far as the ABV goes you can push your UD a bit harder than you are (for short periods of time) you're still running a little lower than the stock power supply which runs about 13.75v.. you can even run at 14v for 5 minutes if you want and need the heat.

@ AA - No need to fight with trying to measure the voltage your Dog runs at, if you're using the stock power supply I can just tell you.. ;) it's unregulated so fluctuates with line voltage changes and outputs (under load) between 13.25v and 13.75v.

@ Crohnie - thanks for the props dude, much appreciated. Is there anything we can do to help you with your troubles?

Make sure you guys keep a good eye on your GonG's. Mine managed to vanish this morning in between stem packs. I'm still looking for it :shrug:

Edit: Found it, its always eery when it shows up somewhere you swear you looked 50 times.

Just got a chance to try out the new GonGs this evening...

Holy crap. Did not expect that amount of airflow. That space is frickin' huge! Definitely a must-have accessory, as others have said.

I just figure I'm important (and sexy) enough that it's a big deal if I repeat it. ;)

I was looking into getting a UD but I had a couple questions:
1. I tried vaping before but I didn't get as buzzed as I do with my bong. What extension should I get if I wanted to attach it to my 1 footer? It has a regular piece like most bongs.
2. I noticed on the website they market it as aromatherapy. How good is the oil when used with the UD?

You'll probably want the 14mm GonG to attach to your bong. I've used it with mine and it works great. :)

I bought the aromatherapy cup and hook and have used it with the beeswax and lavender oil. I love it! Not only does it make the room smell awesome, it gives me a totally legitimate reason to have my daily driver on and ready for me.

I can't recommend the UD enough. I can't imagine not getting buzzed with one. I have a seriously high tolerance and have been able to cut my consumption by using the UD (especially direct draw) while still feeling just as medicated.

I see the website now offers nylon stems. Anyone care to offer an opinion? Airflow, cleaning, bowl size, etc.....

My sister has been "dog sitting" my Pup for the last 2 weeks. Can't wait to get my baby back!

I find that lightly stamping my loads (WonG) with the wooden dowel, my hits produce a heck of a lot of fog. It seems to hit harder than a non-stamped stem. Your mileage may vary.

I tend to have to use a bit more product or crank up the VVPS for a like affect in the GonG. I'll continue testing. For science!

Happy to see most everyone enjoying their new GonG Stems, not to mention the nylon ones as well. I guess I should mention that we can also make glass stems like the GonG Stems but without the GonG joint for those who want them in that style. We can also make them (or the GonG stems) with a customized distance to the screen pinch for you, so if you want ones with a longer (cooler) or shorter (hotter) distance we can do that. :peace:

If your bong has a 14mm female joint then you would be all set with just our new 14mm GonG Stems. If you have an 18mm joint or male joint of either size you'd need an adapter. I'm probably biased of course but I think the aromatherapy cup works great and is a nice way of keeping a room smelling nice.

Yeah I think anything that slows the airflow down a bit (like slightly packing a stem down) will result in thicker/foggier clouds. :tup:

Sweet, I already got the green light to get a second ud. I will add a customized gong request for a smaller load area too. What do you charge for custom ud requests?

Do you mean for a custom Dog or for the customized GonG Stems? Dogs it depends primarily on the wood type and complexity of design. GonG Stems I don't know, haven't really though it that far through.. less than a $5 difference I'm sure.

I gave it a shot once. It didn't work very well, but I didn't exactly spend a lot of time getting the lung air tight. Was kind of a "hmm, I'm buzzed let's give it a shot" nights. It definitely had tension, but there may have been a seep somewhere. I would think it would work great as long as your seal is tight. I saw a video with an HI on the vapor lung and it filled up no problem. I would assume the same product and vapor lung with a UD would produce the same results :cool:.

Hi Underdogs!

How are you guys doing in here?

I haven't been very active on FC for some time but I just noticed Rick mentioned the new nylon stems in the Zap-thread. I got really excited there for a moment because I've first asked for these perhaps a year ago or more now & had been saving my Blue Mahoe for something like those all this time. But as I understand it they turn out to be designed to use with a new core & they will not fit my first gen insulated core? Bullocks! What drill size do I use to make these fit my UD Dave? Will they work with my HI? Will you offer a shorty NonG (nylon-on-glass) version soon?

So many questions... ;)
