be sure to get some stainless tips with the silicone so you can make a glass DD with stainless tip stems. those are my favorite stems out of all of them, stainless stem included.
and treat yourself with an aromatherapy cup, beeswax, and essential oil.
I think that is a pretty good idea as well. I will certainly be reviewing my basket before finalizing my purchase to ensure ownership is as painless as possible.
Get in touch with Underdogette for a suggestion on an inexpensive VVPS option if you're still looking.
I have an email I will be responding to on that exact subject
@Stevenski I am not totally sure about what type of power you would need being down under, but those Tattoo VVPS's that are relatively cheap get the job done wonderfully if they are compatible. I doubt your newer dog will need it bumped up, but I like having a range of value and since I have different dogs (some + Mini's run cooler) I get the value from it. But I still use the standard wall warts all the time so the Aussie equivalent to a standard wallwart would probably be a-ok.
All sizes are great for water, it is way too tough and I go through phases myself! When I got it, I was destroying it with the shorty 14mm GonG. But, now, I typically use the 18mm NonG one hitters with water. And, actually believe it or not, I think I end up using DD more often than water nowadays, which is totally the opposite from when I started. Nothing like just chilling in bed with a bunch of loaded up stems, I worry bout spilling a water piece lying down medicated with my computer and stuff lol. I typically still use the one hitter style stems, the SS ones and a handful of wooden ones from Ed. I have a handful of straight up never used long 14mm GonGs that I am considering for use for travel if I go out of the country later this year. Actually forgot I had them until a bit earlier today lol.
But right now, I have the Amboyna running on my counter and I'm just filling up the NonGs, sticking it in my Hydratube, and just clearing them in a go. Little snaps get me wrecked though. I will have to share later sometime, but I have been documenting my usage, as I was curious and I wanted to have to "check" myself so to speak. The UD excels so much in terms of efficiency! I am only 5 days in, but there was a day that I just used the UD basically, and used less product overall!
Also, I fully expect my usage to change, that's the beauty of the dog, variety! JoDa worked me up a 14mm piece and by golly it looks fantastic from the few pics I saw, with a matching 14mm carbed GonG, I cannot wait til they get here and I can put them to use (and share with all of you!)
Bases on my correspondence I will be running a standard power supply & dimmer to see how things go. If I need more temp control I will address it once I have become acquainted with UD . Where my dilemma is now is choosing a new glass piece or two to pair with the UD. I have my eye on a couple of 14mm bongs & I will buy new Air 14mm stem as I broke my 18mm Gong. Strange as I was always looking at more 18mm glass but my intention is to have a nice piece paired to each vape I use. I am trying to avoid the JoDa thread as that is full of wallet crippling designs.
I am thinking a Wicked Sands beaker like below may be a good partner for the UD? Timeless design with quality build & due to the exchange rate I will only look at glass for sale in Australia as this beaker is $360AU locally or $320-350US ($450-500AU) + at least $50US shipping on top. I also have my eyes on either a cheap $100 10" HVY tube or beaker or a slightly cheaper Blaze one as a stop gap until I justify the funds for a premium bong (I would consider something like below a premium bong but I come from the land of hosepipe stems). It works with my twisted logic as that way I can justify two new glass purchases.
I am getting older & would prefer fewer nicer pieces paired with a classy vape or two. I could easily go & purchase a dozen DHGate pieces & if I was 20 again I probably would do that but how much glass does a man actually need?
