So when people are mentioning log vapes, they're talking about vapes like the Heat Island (HI), Underdog, or E-nano. <snippage>

It is definitely very good at product conservation! I actually think it is better than my Haze in that department. The bowl is quite small on the direct draw glass tube and even smaller, I believe, on the nylon.
The UD is lovely to look at and not immediately identifiable as a device through which one might consume cannabis.
And it can be an always on vaporizer, ready when you are, although I understand that may wear out the device faster, but I do not know how fast that is, since I have only had mine for a week or so.
I think a log vape may fit your needs.
Thanks, I like the fact I can use it as an essential oil diffusion system in between sessions! I can't even find my diffuser after multiple moves.
When in doubt, get a variety.

Feel free to ask any questions. We're here to help!
I'm getting 4 different types of stems, that ought to cover all the bases! Thanks!
Well first off, the stems all come with screens installed, so you shouldn't need to replace them for a while.
Secondly, replacing the screens is fairly easy. The extra screens come pre-formed, so they fit easily into the glass tube.
Then you just use anything thin enough, a stirring too, small screwdriver, anything, to push it to your desired distance. ... You might be able to even just drop the screen on the table, push the tube over it, and then push it in.
Great, I did not realize that they come preformed and pre-installed. Little bowls will be MUCH easier to push into a tube than flat screens, so that'll help.
Dropping the tube down over the top is also a good idea that I probably would not have thought of on my own. Thanks!
As for stem types, there are two major kinds, direct draw or adapters for glass. The stems that say either GonG or NonG are for using the UD with a water pipe. If you're not planning on doing that (it sounds like you want simpler) then I wouldn't pay much attention to those. If you do want them, they're pretty simple. they either use a pure glass on glass connection to the water pipe or they use a nylon adapter and stainless steel bowl.
Direct draw is essentially a straw with a screen in it. I have both the thick and thin glass direct draw stems, and to be honest they're not much different. One just has slightly thicker tubing, but in use it's not a big deal. The thicker one might be more likely to survive a drop, though.
The nylon direct is kind of a "one hitter" it uses a very tiny stainless steel bowl and then a long nylon stem. This one will definitely survive some abuse so if you're worried about breaking glass, this is the way to go. The small SS bowl is incredibly efficient though I think the taste isn't quite as good as it is with glass.
The nice thing about buying an underdog though is you don't have to make too many stem decisions since they provide you with 4 of your choice, so just pick a few that seem appealing to you and figure out which ones you like!
That is a GREAT, very clear description of each kind of stem. Thanks!
It doesnt require a tremendous amount of force, but it does need some....if you can open a bottle still then you should be able to......and once the screen is in there, there is no need to take it out for awhile.....you can take the stem, with the screen inside, and clean with iso.....its just when you first put the screen in the stem you need a little bit of force....
Thanks, that helps.
With the formed screens all I found I need are a long poker and a chopstick to change 'em.
I still use the old style stems with the flat screens a lot and have never needed to change one but just soak the stem overnight with ISO in the tube it came in then rinse with warm water, let it dry and it's good to go. Been using two of 'em like this for over a year now.
Yes, I think the preformed screens will make this task a lot easier. Also I have plenty of chopsticks - I use them frequently. Thanks!
Thanks to everybody who has reached out to help. I'm getting an Econodog with 4 stems, due in no small part to a little bit of help from my friends. I am very much looking forward to getting back to a regular sleep pattern, LOL!
I have to say, I was surprised at just how very effective the herb is for improving my medical condition and reducing my symptoms. Honestly, when I applied for my medical card here, I really didn't hold out much hope for actual medicinal benefits. I mean, sure, for cancer patients, some forms of epilepsy, things like that.
But I figured for me, it was just a way to relax and chill out and maybe get a bit of relief in a sort of backhanded way just from being high.
I was really surprised to find that I really DO get medicinal benefits instead of just getting stoned! I had no idea how badly I sleep these days - until I got my first night of real sleep in over a decade after a visit from our herbal friend. ALL my symptoms - pain, confusion, problems with memory and concentration, fatigue - were much improved simply by being able to get restful, real, relaxing, recharging sleep. Something which, btw, I do not get from any sleep or pain medication.
Thanks to everyone for all the help and encouragement. And especially thanks to the friends who have helped me get the Econodog. I hope you will be lifted on the cosmic wave. It would only be well-deserved karma. Thanks!
