So after being paranoid and checking the status as delivered. I find that the people over at USPS left that package in front of my neighbors house. I just opened the box and I knew the UD was going to be small but wow this Twig is really small. I will have it plugged in for an hour to remove oils/sent. Also notice that the silicon mouthpiece attracts a lot of dust/particles any suggestions for removing this magnetism? I really like the craftsmanship of the wood and size of the unit but the bottom leathers was not fully adhered to one side of the wooden base. (I have some Gorilla Glue that will remedy this, any suggestions or warnings with using this glue?)

I will being busy working til later on tonight but cannot wait to pop her cherry . Thanks for the UD Dave.

Whew glad you found it dude and the neighbors didn't end up with your Dog haha.

The silicone is just a particulate magnet and while I've found that washing them regularly in warm soapy water can help a bit (or some people like ISO) when everything is said and done they're still pretty magnety, nature of the beast I guess. I do find my stems get a bit less so with time but again not completely.

As far as the leather bottom goes sorry to hear it worked loose on one side dude, sometimes a little too much walnut oil gets on the bottom and makes the glue not stick very well and/or sometimes it pops loose a few days later after seeming like it's one good. I'd suggest using something like Elmer's white glue or super glue or something but not Gorilla glue (as much as I love the stuff lol) because the Gorilla glue will want to foam and make a mess of stuff and doesn't bond real well for this application anyways. So yeah, any glue but that.

I would use some ShoeGoo over Gorilla Glue, that is just my suggestion.

When the Silicone gets cold it attracts more particles to the surface. I noticed when it is warmer it tends to wipe off easier. I just wait for it to get warm and blow off the outside of the tube.

I went out to a local shop to look for a variable voltage power supply. I ended up finding this really cool electronic components store. I ended up getting a HQ Power 0-15V 3amp power supply.

I got some banana clips and such. I was kind of an idiot and I bought the wrong DC adapter. I ended up getting a female and not a male. Whoops. I had an old power supply laying around so I took the DC male off of that. I got it all hooked up and working. Right now I am only running one dog off the supply. I need the 1-2 adapter that Dave sales. Currently it is reading out 12.03 volts at .57 amps.

I am looking forward to experimenting with the various settings. If you ever find out that chart/table of the various volts and temperatures let me know Dave. Also how long do you think it takes to warm up when i go from 12 to 13 volts. Would 2-3 minutes be enough?

@ SM - if you're pre-heated at 12v and go to 13 it should be up to temp in just a few minutes yep.

Ok, so Dave and I are off to see the Avengers movie in 3D. Before we go - I wanted to show you guys the newest additions to the site: Caddies and Dog Toys. Dave and I make these spinning toy tops out of leftover cutoffs from vapes as a fun little project and as part of our effort to minimize waste.

In addition to more fancy glass stems (coming soon I promise!), I plan on making custom stem/jar/etc caddies - so I've got two on the site currently to get ya'll thinking about what more accessories you need for your UDs.

Yeah! Spinning Tops. I love it.

Out of all the hundreds of spinning tops I have made, very few have been finger tops. I need to make myself a totem (just saw Inception the other night). Maybe that should be tokem. A stem that is a spinning top. Hmmm. When it keeps spinning that means you are too high.

My very first big top is actually in the National YoYo Museum in Chico. You should check it out underdog and underdogette. I have some other tops and a yo-yo there too.

I picked up the Hickory Stem and Jar Caddy. I was wanting something like this tonight. You read my mind! How funny. I am loving my variable power supply. It is working really well. I also picked up two of the tops. I love tops. You guys should get out of my head. I hoped I picked a steady/long spinner.

BTW Dog Toys seems like toys for dogs. I was all excited to see what you meant and see if there was any my puppy would like. I still like tops though

I've adapted my tibetan singing bowl as my stemholder, angle is enough to not make them spill. sometimes a stem falls in completely, but since it's completely round it still usually not results in a complete spill

and about the stickiness of the silicone, I noticed that too, but it gets less over time(the silicone takes on a yellow/orange hue tough)

Bwahahaha! That's what we do! Also, we have made some of these tops for our little underdog. We spin them on the floor and he loves to chase them around on the hardwood floors. The two tops you got are good weight ones. The B&W Ebony is one of my personal faves - they spin very nice.

that even looks/sounds kind of similar, in dutch it's 'appeltaart' this particular one is an 'appelkruimeltaart'(applecrumbpie), since the upside are crumbs instead of a grid. the grid is the more traditional way I know, but with crumbs is easier, the lazy way.

since I often see applepie mentioned I assumed american applepie was similar, but once when I was in the US and had applepie I was surprised to find out it was made with puff pastry.

I think rye bread is also considered a traditional danish thing, and in the region of the netherlands where I live, friesland, ryebread is also a traditional frisian thing. the word in frisian that looks most like the word for bread in english and dutch even means ryebread('brea', the word for regular bread is 'bôle', wich looks and sounds nothing like english or dutch, the 2 languages most closely related/similar to frisian).

but I've heard pies in the US are mostly just cake with frosting and other things on it? (among other weird foodstuff like salted butter, and very limited things to put on bread)
and unrelated but this made me think of it, I once saw a story in the newspaper, in the weekendedition, about a dutchman who moved to the US and there were some prices quoted in the article that in the US it's cheaper to buy a cheeseburger then it is to buy cheese and bread at the supermarket

It all depends on what part of the US your in and who's doing the cooking. Keep in mind everyone who lives here is originally from somewhere else, so depending on their ethnicity it could be prepared a bunch of different ways.

As far as the cheeseburger goes that is relative. You can get a fast food crap burger for $1.00, but at a restaruant it might go over $20. Good bread and quality cheese are expensive, but that isn't what you get on the cheap, crappy burger.

in my case, it was someone from german decent, in wisconsin. (acquintances of my parents)
and even when taking the cheapest fastfoodprices I think you would be cheaper off buying bread and cheese here. actually my favorite fastfood when I'nm in the city and hungry is to go to the supermarket, buy the cheapest camembert(80-90 cents) and 2 buns/minibreads(with hard outside) wich have the same size as the camembert(used to be 30 cents each, but now the supermarketchain switched 50 cents)
slice open bread, slice camembert in half(in thickness)
tastes good, and unless I'm really hungry I can't even finish one.
that would amount to 90-95 cents each at current prices, and I've never seen any hamburger or cheeseburger available for that.

Quality food is expensive here. You could get cheap bread and cheese but it would be processed cheese and equally processed white bread neither of which really qualifies as real cheese or real bread. The same type of crap you would get from fast food.

Hey fellas!

As promised, here is a humble video of my ud performing with the aqua vape
(once again, sorry for the poor quality, my only equipment is my laptop's webcam)

After one large week of daily use, I have to say this thing was exactly what I needed. I can't see what I can add to what has already been said about that combination... For me that is perfect.
Perfect taste, absolutely no bad feelings in my throat (even if I hit it hard and a lot), can't be easier to use it...
As it has already been noticed, the only drawback seems to be the washing part... for the moment I only rinse it everyday with water and some elbow grease, but I feel like I'm going to need some ISO (or s/o else perhaps?) to really get rid of some residues at some specific and tricky places.

Well I can't see what I can say ... Way too much fog to be able to see a thing
