I'd love a UK meet, but would rarely have the time to make it.
If i did, i would have to lug along at least 2 vapes and 2 personal prototypes to play with. Its a shame having no one around you as interested as yourself in the plant and vapes - especially when your friends just look slightly amused at your handy-work before lighting their joints.

If anyone is in Edinburgh or Central Scotland, i'd be happy to meet to exude hot gasses and cannabinoids.

I'm in Edinburgh! Surprised to see someone else from Auld Reekie on here. Don't really know any other vapers apart from my sister who is only a recent convert. You a native? I'm from England originally.

I also just laughed to my-self for the first time in years after remembering that scene in peep show.

Haha, I just cracked up myself and I don't laugh very often either! Peep Show is the best thing. Bit too vaped to turn on my quote memory though.

From the Midlands myself oringlaly and I stay in Gorgie/Dalry so not too far!

I'm pretty much entirely using my Arizer Air at the moment. I've got a Flowermate as well but now I've got enough batteries it's pretty much retired unless I need the self contained stealth aspect. Funnily enough I've been considering a DBV for a long while, I keep finding excuses to put it off by buying new accessories for my Air each month but I can see the purchase happening before the end of the year. Just be nice to have something sitting in the corner of the room without worrying about batteries or preheating etc.

Yeah I have quite a collection, though a-lot is spread around my mother's home, my flat, my brother and my friend.

This way i have my gear no matter where i frequent haha.

The smoking fox near TollCross actually stocks the DBV and some 7th floor gear as i know the owner.

My first vape (after the vapor-star manual vape) was the DBV i got when i was 17 - i couldn't imagine using portables as my daily device but that's probably due to my tolerance.

I actually just let my spare DBV go to a guy from here for £50 for his brothers birthday (obviously a great deal for him haha, i was feeling charitable that day) otherwise i would of offered it of course.

One thing i really need to do is dust off my concentrates kit and blast this amnesia, i miss the dab sweats and mandatory spread eagle recovery position. Thats what i had my buddha doing for almost a year straight, on 24/7 as my e-nail.

Damn you british law!

Just make some qwiso ... its a piece of piss ... much safer than bho and you can make it indoors with good ventilation. Theres a load of threads here on FC. Alternatively you could make rosin but im not sure on the return percentages. Get a cheap nail and a blow torch. Roberts your mothers brother!

Alternatively you could make rosin but im not sure on the return percentages. Get a cheap nail and a blow torch. Roberts your mothers brother!

I recently gave rosin a bash for the first time, i got a dab or so from a nug but was disappointed at the return compared to butane (though i do regularly run as little as 5-7g with 20% return, it really isn't hard at all - just be safe).
I threw the still green but squashed nugs in my vape after dabbing and got higher all the same, so should you do choose to risk half a gram to make a dab using the rosin method, you can still vape the bud and get the rest - i chose to be on the careful side which is probably why i got little return and was still able to vape my nug

Ye i figured rosin is great cause you can vape your squished buds ... i just havnt bothered to get some hair straighteners and try it. Seems pretty fun.... How did the squished buds vape?

Just fine by my standards (i got the effects i expected from bud with slightly reduced potency), and got higher from the oil extracted so it seems that at the very least i managed to get 80-90% of the actives by one way or another which accounts for a loss of about a dropped little bowl. These numbers are all based on perception and therefore highly variable dependent on personal elevation and intracranial pressure

i used the girls GHD's but they run too hot, so i just made sure they weren't at temp when i used them. The fact you can press such small amounts makes it worth a shot - especially if you can be patient enough to properly get all the scraps from the paper.

Have a look round on here for plenty of good qwiso info ... some basics for you ... make sure to buy 99% iso .. make sure everything is super cold (12hours in freezer) .. only wash for 30 secs max. Any longer and you start extracting waxes and chlorophyll. Everything else is here on the forum. Any questions just ask. Peas

Oh fair play ... you won't have wasted those nuggets you'll have turned them into gold .. haha. Itll take around 7g to get over a gram of oil. It will defo knock you on your arse .. and if your not looking for super potency or medical benefits .. might not be worth the hassle.

However dont forget the stealth benefits of using an oil pen or you can mix oil into eliquid with the right chemical (peg 400). Now you can vape anywhere and people just think its an ecig. Also potential for flying abroad with eliquid mix. Food for thought!

Dont wash any UK hash in ISO please haha, only use ethanol washes - it is a polar solvent.

Believe me, when you have made hash/concentrates/bubble/rosin/squidgy/qwiso/reclaim - you start to realize that must UK hash is indeed absolute GARBAGE.

What really sold me was when i did an ISO wash on some bud i already blasted with butane - i mixed the goo with some of the blasted bud that i powdered (lets you handle it) and stuck in a tiny bit of kief.
Viola! squidgy black! or at least every-single-type of squidgy i have hat matched this exactly.

Worst part of it all was when i gave it to a friend from my old work (a hash only smoker), they got off their rocker and i had to supervise the shift (she was 40!). I was confused because she said it was just like the soft black she had back in the days - yet it was trash i processed from a BHO run.

Clearly not trash it seems!

Yes i recently did a batch of "nepalese" .. the yield was very good ... around 30% however the end product was not particularly potent .. it was better than the hash (obviously) but nowhere near as potent as when made with flowers. Hiwever this nepalese was seriously questionable!

You will only concentrate whatever you put in. I suspect the leb will be very nice. When doing hash you dont need to freeze or do quick washes. The reason you do that with bud is to stop extracting waxes, chlorophyls etc. If your using hash these have already been removed. So make sure to do a longer wash making sure to dissolve as much leb into the iso. Just do a small tester batch to start.

I just quickly brushed up then to make sure i wasn't being silly in my memory.

I found that ISO tends to leech out a-lot more undesirables than i like and cleaning that up is a PITA, thats also why i find it funny that an ISO wash after a butane run seems to produce something very very similar to soft black.
With Butane i can use the end product immediately - thought it can be improved with winterization.

Winterizing removes the fats,waxes and other lipophillic (fat loving)compounds. What makes them lipophillic or hydrophillic is based on polarity... butane is nonpolar (lipophillic) ethanol and iso are relatively polar, meaning they won't allow lipophillic substances...

Solubility is largely based on polarity and temp. so if you heat the polar ethanol or iso it will absorb the extract left from a butane wash. After freezing it the solubility of the waxes and fats decreases. These lipophillic non polar waxes precipitate as a solid out of the solution. It can then be filtered

The waxes and fats removed make up the harshness and congestive properties smoked hash oil can sometimes bring. This process does not remove terpenes and will drastically increase the quality of a butane(non polar) extract... if you start with an isoor etoh wash its not as necessary and shatter can easily be produced using a single polar wash.. iso in the middle of butane and ethanol polarity wise giving the best extract only using asingle wash......but for compounds such as thca and precursory cannabinoids to move about the plant (as well as all compounds within the plant) they must be relatively polar. Because of this iso or etohcan extract a dirty product if left in solvent too long....which is why a long soak in butane that's allowed to pull every last cannabinoid and wax/fat. And then winterized to remove the wax/fats will give a better yield of quality product than iso or etoh.

So you are correct, it is my experience that makes me lean to butane then ethanol. Though reading that it seems that its better to winterize with the ethanol but better to extract with the iso. Though butane and then winterzation is superior to all - so it appears.
